"If that's the case, you have to tell me what's going on. Or else, I don't think I have the courage to help you through," Alex spread out his arms and looked troubled. Ernest looked hesitantly at Celeste. Celeste didn't explain things clearly to him, but seeing that she would just leave home silently, it must be something complicated.

Celeste was a girl with a sense of propriety. This time round, things must have turned ugly for her.

"Uncle Logan, you have to help me regardless. Celeste is in a tight spot now," Ernest tried to plead with Alex.

"I know, Young Master Ernest," Alex also looked at Celeste. At first glance, he could tell that this girl had encountered some troubles. Otherwise, she wouldn't just run away from home. However, Alex sighed, "But Young Master Ernest, your classmate has her own guardian. If her guardian sues me, we won't look very promising in court."

When Celeste heard this, anxiety flashed across her face. She could tell that Alex was in a dilemma, and she was also aware that her identity was troubling others.

She couldn't just roam around wherever she wanted to since she was underaged.

Underage teenagers had no right to make that choice.

Her eyes became gloomy and dull. After a long time, she smiled, "Mr. Logan, I'm sorry to bother you. I know you're in a dilemma. It's better if I leave."

"Young lady, don't be impulsive," Alex quickly waved his hand and explained, "It's not that I don't want to help, but I don't know what kind of difficulties you have encountered. You have to make it clear before I can decide how to help you."

Celeste also understood that if she wanted his help, she should have told them how she needed their help.

"Uncle Logan," She thought for a moment and requested, "I need you to help me with my admission procedures. Can you be my temporary guardian or find someone to be my temporary guardian so I can continue my studies? I don't need you to help me pay for my school fees, I can work part-time."

Alex was stupefied. This seemed to be something more serious than he had initially thought it to be.

"Girl, where is your original guardian?" Alex asked in confusion, "I thought you had an aunt?"

Celeste looked at Alex. Initially, she didn't plan to say it, but now, it seemed that she was left with no choice. Hence, she revealed, "My aunt is Cindy White."

Alex was dumbfounded before he realized something. He glanced at Ernest in an instant.

Ernest shrugged. He shot a quick glance at Celeste before looking at Alex, saying, "Celeste, we already know that your aunt is Cindy White. I'm just puzzled. Did you have a fight with your Aunt?" "We had a huge fight. From now on, she will no longer be my guardian."

"Why?" There were some doubts in Ernest's mind as he asked, "Is it because you came to England to study?"

"No," Celeste shook her head.

Alex also frowned, "Miss Cindy White is a fairly famous actress in the entertainment circle. It shouldn't be a problem for her support you financially."

"It's not because of the money," Celeste hurriedly explained, "It's not, but there were some other things that happened. She forced me to do something that I didn't want to do and that was morally wrong. Besides, I also thought that we might have been secretly related."

"An illegitimate daughter?" These words flashed in Alex's mind. Then, he stared at Celeste for a moment and explained in a hurry, "I'm sorry, I'm too straightforward."

"It's fine," Celeste shook her head and tried to laugh it off, "I thought I was her illegitimate daughter before too, but it seems that I am wrong."

"You're not?" Ernest was also a little surprised. In truth, both he and Gary thought that Celeste was Cindy's illegitimate daughter.

"No, we went for a DNA test today. The results showed that we are not related by blood."

After a moment of surprise, he nodded and asked, "Why did you guys suddenly go for a DNA test?"

"That's because..." Celeste wanted to tell him but stopped. She looked at them and didn't know how to explain it. In fact, she really didn't want Ernest to know about this matter.

"Is it something you can't say?" Seeing that she was in a dilemma, Ernest didn't want to press for answers. However, if she didn't say anything, it would be difficult for them to help her, "If you really can't tell us, then we won't force you."

"It's just really embarrassing for me to say so," Celeste mustered up her courage, she glanced at Alex then at Ernest. Seconds later, she sighed, "I'm not sure if you guys saw the news from ten years ago." Ernest was very smart. Quickly, some possibilities flashed through his mind.

"Is it about your aunt and my dad?" He asked tentatively.

Celeste was shocked. She looked at Ernest with widened eyes.

Judging from her reaction, Ernest knew that he was right.

He chuckled, "Looks like this is the problem. I'm also aware that there are rumors regarding your aunt and my dad. In fact, there are even photos as evidence."

Celeste hesitated but still nodded her head and replied, "I have seen those photos for myself, and my aunt has yet to forget about your dad. I feel very ashamed because of that."

Ernest was bewildered and blinked, "Celeste, is it because of this that you had a huge fight with your aunt?"

Celeste nodded.

"Well, then it seems like we are obliged to help you," Ernest smiled and he seemed more relaxed.

"Ernest, I..." Celeste wanted to speak again but stopped on second thought. She didn't really want him to help her. Now that she had calmed down after meeting him, she realized that she really had no other way to solve the problem since she was underage.

"My mom was the one who took those pictures of your aunt and my dad," Ernest revealed while looking at Alex.

Alex nodded.

Celeste was taken aback.

Ernest continued to explain, "But according to rumors, my dad was not interested in your aunt back then. However, your aunt was very attracted to my dad and had been taking the initiative to capture my dad's heart."

"My mom's a reporter. She was the person who took the photo and spread it around the entire Northern City. Everyone in Northern City was able to see how intimate my dad and your aunt were."

Hearing Ernest's words, Alex also recalled a lot of things and nodded, "Yes, the photo was taken by Mrs. Jones, and Lester was the one who gave the green light to publish it. As we all know, Mrs. Jones is working as a reporter for the Entertainment Daily. Back then, President Jones had no idea that Young Master Ernest and Young Master Gary were his flesh and blood. To sum it up, it is just an interesting story.' Celeste was a little confused and didn't quite understand.

However, she only felt surprised when she saw Ernest talking about this. He didn't seem anxious about it at all.

"Ernest, is your mother not mad about the rumors regarding your dad and my aunt?"

"Well, you'd have to ask my mom," Ernest shrugged and gave it some thought before speculating, "But I don't think she is mad about it anymore. My dad and my mom have been together for so many years and are already used to each other's company. My dad doesn't seem to lose interest in my mom, so I genuinely can't tell if she is still mad."

Alex also nodded in agreement, "That's for certain. The president has always been devoted to his wife. Wherever he goes, his wife is his priority. Even on a business trip, he will also buy gifts for his wife. Mrs. Jones has been the apple of his eye for all these years."

These words left Celeste stupefied. She couldn't be certain what Cindy and Heinz's relationship was in the past.

"But, what about back then?" She still asked, "When my aunt..."

She was still guilty now thinking about Cindy.

Now, there was evidence that there was nothing between them.

Cindy just adopted her and they were absolutely not related by blood. Yet, she...

Celeste felt extremely foolish when she recalled how impulsive she was.

"Does this mean that my aunt and Mr. Jones had nothing happen between them?" Celeste still asked.

Even if Grace didn't care about Heinz's past, it didn't mean that Heinz and her aunt had nothing going on between them before.

"Oh, there's nothing. Lester and I have been by the president's side for around fifteen years already. We can assure you that there is nothing going on between Miss White and the president. If you look at the picture taken by Mrs. Jones closely, you could see that Cindy was the one who took the initiative."

After saying this, Alex seemed to realize that his words might have hurt the girl's feelings. So, he quickly added.

"What I mean is that you can go through it carefully. I didn't mean to belittle your aunt."

Celeste shook her head and said, "It doesn't matter. I know you're just trying to explain it to me. I just want to know what happened in the past."

"Was it because of the news and the fact that your aunt is still in love with Heinz that you had a fight with her?" Ernest summed up all of the problems Celeste was facing and came up with this conclusion. Celeste didn't reply to him. She didn't know how to answer Ernest.

Looking at her, Ernest sighed, "That was in the past. There's no point in digging up the past."

"No," Celeste answered softly yet firmly, "She knew that I was staying with you guys. She told me that she was going to buy a house beside yours. That way, she can meet your father in London." Ernest finally understood her motive and gasped, "Oh, is your aunt still trying to get close to my dad even now?"

"Yes," Celeste nodded, feeling very embarrassed, "I'm sorry. I really don't know what to say."

"So you tried to go against her decisions and your aunt got angry. Then, you moved back to the apartment in a hurry and you guys had a big argument there?"

Celeste nodded, "In a fit of anger, I said a lot of hurtful things. I always thought that I was her illegitimate daughter, but now I know that I wasn't. All of my resentment is just a joke. I realized that I had no right to be mad at her."

"Did she chase you out of the house?"

"It was a bet on the results of the DNA test. If it was found that I wasn't her daughter, I would leave," Celeste laughed self-deprecatingly and added, "So that's how I ended up here."

"Your aunt just let you leave like that?" Ernest asked incredulously.

Celeste lowered her eyes and nodded gently.

"This seems a little out of hand," Ernest nodded thoughtfully to himself, "I also think that she might be exasperated, perhaps you shouldn't have been so mad."

"It's my fault. Maybe I didn't think it through from her point of view. That's why she thinks I'm being ungrateful. If I put myself in her shoes, I'm indeed the one who's wrong. However, I can't just let her do what she wishes just because I'm wrong. I don't wish for her to disrupt your parents' marriage."

"Well, I understand. In that case, I'll help you. Miss White, I'll be your guardian," Alex finally gave in.
