True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1281
Gary's mood was also terrible.
"Cough cough..." His cough had worsened perhaps because he was in a bad mood, so his cough worsened. Gary hacked fiercely without stopping.
It took him three minutes to finally stop coughing.
Three full minutes.
It was as if he was about to cough his lungs out. It was strange.
"Knock! Knock! Knock!" The sound of knocking could be heard.
Gary did not move. His eyebrows were knitted tightly together as he frowned at the door.
The next second, the door opened and a tall young man appeared with a cup of water in his hand. He glanced at Gary and walked in, placing the cup of water next to Gary's table.
"Drink some water," He said.
Gary picked up the cup and gulped it down.
"Cough, cough, cough."
Unexpectedly, he erupted into another fit of coughing.
"Wow. Do you think you can handle it? Why don't you go to the hospital?"
"There's no need to," Gary eased up a little. His face had already turned red from all the coughing. He raised his eyes to look at the man and asked, "Lowell, is the coffee ready?" His name was Lowell Jones, and he was almost 20 years old. The man looked extremely handsome, and resembled both Heinz and Grace.
They were close blood relatives, so it was only natural for them to look alike.
Lowell had handsome features, and his smile was like a spring breeze.
"Well, I'm waiting for your to taste it. I tried calling you a while ago. When I heard that you were on the phone, I went back first. Do you want to try out the coffee now?" "Let's go," Gary stood up and headed to the dining hall with Lowell.
"Oh, by the way, you sound like you have a really bad cough. Drinking coffee is bad for your recovery."
"It doesn't matter," Gary didn't seem to mind, "I just want to have a drink."
Lowell shook his head and looked back at him, sighing, "It seems that the call left you pretty unhappy. Were you displeased at what was being discussed?"
Gary didn't say anything in reply.
However, Lowell was a clever man. He didn't ask much and brewed Gary a cup of coffee.
Gary stirred it and took a sip, sighing after a while, "Woah, the taste has improved quite a bit."
Lowell smiled, "Of course, to succeed at something, I need to devote all my energy to it first. I've studied the art of brewing coffee for a long time and I'm making progress every day." "Indeed," Gary did not hesitate to praise him for his ability in brewing coffee.
"Do you want to learn from me?" Lowell raised his eyebrows at him, "It's better to find something to do than to be so absorbed in the content of the phone call."
Gary paused for a moment. He raised his eyebrows and refuted, "I have something to do."
"What is it?"
"I need to work out," He replied.
Lowell burst into laughter after hearing that, "Is working out even an urgent matter? Isn't every man responsible for keeping themselves healthy?"
Gary fell silent. He didn't answer for a long time.
Lowell tasted his coffee leisurely and chuckled, "Though, I agree. You really need to exercise. You look strong, but you catch a cold the very minute you arrive here. You are so weak." "It's just a coincidence," Gary retorted.
"Forget it," Lowell reminded him, "Look at yourself. How many boys at your age will catch a cold? They are all full of vigor."
Gary rolled his eyes in response.
Lowell smiled and continued, "By the way, your father called me just now and asked me about you."
Gary frowned.
"When will you address your father as dad? It's been so many years, but you still hold a grudge against him. You are really persistent."
Gary took a sip of coffee and lowered his gaze, explaining briefly, "This is between him and I. Don't interfere."
"Fine, I can't interfere in your affairs, but your father told me to keep an eye on you. Don't cause any trouble."
Gary looked at him in disdain, "Am I such a mindless person who doesn't know the severity of a situation?" "Aren't you?" Lowell shot back casually.
Gary furrowed his brows and raised his voice, warning, "Lowell Jones."
"Hahaha," Lowell laughed out loud, "Alright, I'll stop teasing you. The more you grow up, the less cute you become. You're so annoying right now, do you know that?" Gary's brows furrowed.
Lowell didn't suspect anything and continued, "With a bad temper like yours, I don't know what sort of girl would be able to tolerate you."
It was just a casual remark, but it left Gary dazed.
After hearing it, he was stunned and did not move for a long time.
Seeing him like this, Lowell leaned back on his chair and shot Gary a glance before asking, "What's wrong? Have I mentioned something sensitive? Why are you so stunned?" Gary put down the cup of coffee and turned to leave.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm not going to drink anymore," Gary declared, "Don't worry about me. I have something to do."
"Then I'm going off as well," Lowell also got up and was ready to wash his coffee cup.
Gary returned to his room and picked up his phone. He wanted to call Celeste, but he decided against it in the end.
Meanwhile, in the garden of a villa in London.
Ernest and Celeste walked out together and sat on the stone bench in the garden.
"Ernest, what do you want to talk to me about? Just go ahead."
"We're going to be admitted into university soon. After completing the procedure, we'll start studying. Have you ever thought about which major to choose?" Celeste was stunned. The pair of brothers were very strange. No wonder they were twins. They had even asked her the same question on the very same day. She could only look at Ernest in surprise.
Ernest started immediately, "Oh, I'm going to major in economics. Do you have any plans?"
Celeste thought for a moment and said, "I originally thought about historical art or language. I want to find a branch among these two and learn one of them." "Historical art?" Ernest smiled, "That's good. You're also pretty good in linguistics. As a girl, both majors suit you a lot."
Celeste was dumbfounded and looked at Ernest. In the dark, his smile was gentle and assuring.
"What kind of major do you think your brother will choose?" Celeste suddenly asked.
Ernest was stunned and said immediately, "My brother will definitely major in either finance or economics, or he'll probably do a double degree in management. He is the eldest son, so the family's business is on his shoulders."
Celeste was once again flabbergasted as she asked, "Won't you also be handling the family business as well?"
"Of course, we have the obligation to do so," Ernest explained, "It's just that since my brother is the eldest son, his burden will be heavier."
Celeste nodded thoughtfully.
There was a slight difference in Ernest's personality compared to Gary's.
Gary wanted her major to be compatible with him, but these majors were part of his choice.
How was she going to choose from them?
"Celeste, you've made a good choice. I think girls should choose what they like. You don't need to work too hard," Ernest commented as he looked at Celeste.
Celeste was a little surprised and nodded, "I haven't thought about it yet. There's still time. I don't know what Maria will choose."
At that moment, Maria also came out of the house and walked towards them. While walking, she complained, "Hey. You two ran out on your own and didn't even think of calling me too."
"I called you just now. You were taking a shower," Celeste explained.
When she went downstairs just now, she knocked on Maria's door. However, Maria was in the middle of showering.
"Oh, I see."
With that, Maria walked over. She shot a glance at Ernest and asked, "Ernest, what are you doing?"
"Celeste and I were talking about choosing our majors. Do you have any plans for your future?"
"Me?" Maria thought for a moment and said, "I will probably choose either a philosophy major or an oriental major."
"Oh," Ernest was a little surprised, "I thought you were going to choose something in the performing arts."
After all, Liam studied performing arts to become an idol. Since Maria had come for Liam, it was logical for Maria to choose a major related to him.
However, Maria surprised them.
Celeste also looked at Maria.
Maria said with a very confident attitude, "We still have time. Take your time to choose. What's the hurry?"
"Celeste is debating between historical art or language."
"That sounds like a good choice," Maria naturally agreed with her.
"I think it's good too," Ernest chuckled, "Celeste suits these two majors very well."
However, Celeste's face was full of sorrow, as if she was in a dilemma about choosing her major.
"Celeste, what's wrong?" Maria immediately noticed her downcast mood.
Celeste shook her head. She couldn't say it, but she didn't like the feeling of being controlled by Gary.
He had asked her to choose a specialized course that suited him. He did not respect her at all.
However, she couldn't say these words out loud.
"If the fields we choose are different, we have to study separately in different colleges."
"Ernest, are you still worried that you won't make any friends? Don't worry, I can also make new friends."
Ernest glanced at her and asked, "Aren't you worried about Celeste?"
"Celeste? You don't have to worry. Celeste is very well-educated and has always been quite capable. Seriously, chill," Maria reached out and grabbed Celeste's arm before saying, "It's getting late. I'll go upstairs with Celeste. Good night, Ernest."
