Madam Elaine froze and she subconsciously glanced at Zachary.

This reaction was quite interesting to Zachary. It seemed like Madam Elaine had yet to tell Wesley the truth.

Yvonne had already gotten married, but Madam Elaine had yet to tell Wesley this. Instead, they were still walking around the plaza. This made things weird.

Zachary shot Madam Elaine a sharp glance and casually greeted her, "Grandma."

Madam Elaine pursed her lips and simply nodded as a polite response.

Wesley couldn't help but ask, "Grandma, do tell me, what's wrong with this guy?"

Madam Elaine still kept quiet.

By this moment, Wesley already noticed the awkwardness and frowned as he stared at Zachary, asking, "Hey, what's going on. Why are you literally everywhere?" Meanwhile, Yvonne didn't pay much attention to Wesley.

Madam Elaine also kept quiet, making the entire situation more awkward and weird.

Zachary smirked faintly and replied, "Mr. Spencer, it's obvious, isn't it? I frequently appear at Yvonne's side because I have a close relationship with Yvonne."

"I am Yvonne's fiance," Wesley pointed at Madam Elaine and said, "Grandma admitted it personally."

"I apologize," Zachary was very polite as he continued, "It just so happens that I'm Yvonne's legal husband and we have already gotten our marriage certificate. Mr. Spencer, I'm really touched that you adore my wife so much, but unfortunately, she is my wife."

Wesley stared at Madam Elaine in disbelief, "Grandma, why aren't you saying anything?"

Madam Elaine glanced at Zachary with a hint of impatience before admitting, "Wesley, they are indeed married."

"What?" Wesley was astonished, "Grandma, w-why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I only found out about it recently. To be exact, just yesterday."

"But, I was at home just now. Why didn't you tell me?" Wesley immediately let go of Madam Elaine's hand. He chuckled lightly and said sarcastically, "You didn't tell me because you are lying to me just so I could accompany you for the past few years. Now that I think about it, it's really ridiculous."

Madam Elaine's face turned a little pale after being questioned.

However, Zachary and Yvonne just stood there and did not say anything.

Only then did Madam Elaine say, "I'm sorry, Wesley. There's nothing I can do. I'm sorry."

"I don't need your apology," Wesley laughed coldly, "I'm just blind. Yvonne Attwood, II guess I was just thinking ahead of myself. Don't worry. From now on, we have nothing to do with each other." Yvonne hoped so too.

Still, she kept quiet.

When Madam Elaine saw how Wesley acted, she tried calling out to him, "Wesley."

"Goodbye," Wesley turned around and left.

"Wesley Spencer!" Madam Elaine shouted from behind, but Wesley ignored her and left on his own.

Soon, he had left.

It was only then that Madam Elaine looked away and turned to look at the couple. She said angrily, "Are you both satisfied now?" "Not really," Zachary said frankly, "Madam Elaine, the reason you didn't tell him is because you are lonely and you wish to have someone to accompany you, am I right? That's why you tricked this little fellow here to accompany you."

Madam Elaine's expression turned even gloomier when she heard that, "What nonsense are you spouting?"

Zachary smirked and stepped forward. He said to Yvonne, "Yvonne, why don't we accompany Madam Elaine for a walk."

Yvonne was in a daze. When she saw how awkward her Grandma was acting, she also hurriedly walked over and grabbed her arm.

At the same time, Madam Elaine swung her hand and wanted to shake her off.

Zachary said, "I advise you not to shake Yvonne's hand away. The water fountain here in the plaza usually spills a lot of water around. It would not be nice if you accidentally slipped and fell."

Just as Zachary said so, Madam Elaine actually slipped and almost fell.

Thankfully, Yvonne hurriedly grabbed her arm and helped her regain balance.

Madam Elaine was still in shock. She looked at Zachary awkwardly.

"At such an old age, you should have experienced more than us. You don't have to worry too much about what we say or be afraid of losing your ego. We are a family. Holding yourself back because of your self-esteem is bound to cause miscommunications," Madam Elaine was frozen in place after listening to Zachary's words. She stared deeply into Zachary's eyes and did not speak, simply allowing Yvonne to continue helping her up.

The three of them quickly left the fountain area.

Madam Elaine remained silent for a bit until Yvonne asked her, "Grandma, it's so late, where are you going?"

"It's so boring, so I came out for a walk," She said indifferently.

Was she really lonely?

Yvonne was dumbfounded for a moment. After her grandfather passed away, her grandmother was the only person left in the house. Her father would only come back and visit her whenever she had money to give him.

Yvonne seemed to understand her suffering.

She pursed her lips and said softly, "Grandma, my dad paid me a visit today."

Madam Elaine's entire body went rigid. Some time later, she turned around to look at Yvonne and asked, "Why did he look for you?" "He wants money from us," Yvonne did not hide anything and said bluntly, "He asked Zachary for the betrothal gift."

"The betrothal gift?" Madam Elaine frowned, "How much did he ask for?"

"Ten million dollars."

Madam Elaine took a deep breath and the atmosphere fell silent.

Zachary saw the disappointment in her eyes. Madam Elain was deeply disappointed. It seemed that she was also holding back her anger.

At that moment, Zachary suddenly had a feeling that she wasn't doting on her son as much as he expected.

After a moment of silence, she finally snapped, "Ignore him. He's gone mad."

"Grandma, you are wise," Zachary added.

Madam Elaine was direct, "It's not because I'm considerate of you two. It's just that he is too greedy. He will eventually drown in his own greed." "Oh!" Zachary nodded and dragged out his voice, saying, "We know that you love your son very much. In your eyes, your son must be your top priority."

As a response, Madam Elaine frowned and looked at Zachary with displeasure.

Zachary smirked and continued, "Grandma, are you refuting me silently?" "You talk too much," Madam Elaine remarked, "You are too annoying. Shut up."

Zachary was stupefied. He thought that he had been looked down upon.

After being together with Yvonne recently, he found that he had become more talkative.

Judging from Madam Elaine's looks, she was obviously very lonely. It was likely that she called for Wesley to accompany her on walks because she was didn't want to be alone at home. Maybe that was why she desperately wanted someone to talk to.

However, she was stubborn.

The reason why he had said so was because he didn't want her to be too arrogant. She was old and she had to admit that she was weak. Instead, she gave him the cold shoulder. Yvonne felt quite helpless.

She really felt that Zachary was probably wronged for being told that he was talkative.

With that, she turned to look at him.

Zachary smiled without saying anything.

It seemed that he was very calm.

Hence, Yvonne was much relieved.

Madam Elaine took a few steps and suddenly asked Yvonne, "What happened in the end?"

Yvonne was stunned, "Grandma, are you talking about my dad?"
