Zachary hung up the phone, turned around and went back to his bedroom.

Yvonne was still deep in her sleep.

It was obvious that she was extremely exhausted.

With that, Zachary went to do the laundry and didn't want to bother waking up Yvonne.

Yvonne slept until two o'clock in the afternoon since no one disturbed her. The warm sunshine shone on her fair face.

Surrounded by warmth, Yvonne opened her eyes drowsily. Her first reaction was to look at the time.

There was a delicate and elegant inlaid clock on the wall opposite her.

It was two o'clock in the afternoon.

She suddenly came to her senses and realized that she had been sleeping alone for such a long time. She touched the quilt next to her but felt only coldness. Yvonne felt a strange discontent in her heart. On the second day of their marriage, where would her husband go?

But then, Yvonne shook her head and chuckled.

She slept until two o'clock in the afternoon. Zachary was a young energetic man. How could he sleep until two o'clock in the afternoon like her?

What was wrong with her?

Why was she overthinking things?

Zachary was now by her side and had fallen in love with her now. Why was she still overthinking things?

She secretly reflected and told herself that she could not be that petty. She had to be generous and tolerant in everything she did. She must not let her imagination run wild.

After getting up to get washed up, Yvonne changed into some clean clothes and tidied herself up before she went out.

There was no sign of people outside the room. It seemed like Zachary was afraid that he would disturb her and either went to the yard or into other rooms to work.

Yvonne swung open the door and stood at the door, enjoying the beautiful scenery in the yard. The vast expanse of green, the pavilions, the rockery and the stream of water created a perfect and delicate picture.

It was a sight that was pleasing to the eye, and she was delighted by it.

"You've woken up?" Suddenly, Zachary's deepsounding voice echoed from the entrance of the courtyard.

Yvonne looked over in the direction of the voice, only to see the man's lean figure striding over towards her in large steps.

His handsome face was sharp and angular, and there was a warm smile on his face. His gentle demeanor was very attractive indeed.

"Zachary," Yvonne called out to him in a sweet voice.

When Zachary finally arrived in front of her, his tall figure cast a shadow over her.

Zachary lowered his head and wrapped his arms around Yvonne's waist. He bent over and gave her a kiss on the forehead. His kiss was as light as a feather and was filled with the overflowing taste of cherishing her.

"Honey, are you hungry?"

Yvonne hurriedly shook her head.

She wasn't starving.

Maybe because he was hugging and kissing her that she picked up a whiff of his scent. Almost instantly, she had flashbacks of what happened last night.

Those memories made Yvonne blush furiously, the redness spreading from her cheeks to her ears. Gradually, her entire face was flushed red.

She was a little embarrassed.

Zachary did not suspect anything. He just held her in his arms and whispered, "It's two o'clock, so I went to deal with the affairs of the Southland. I checked up on you several times and found that you were still sound asleep, so I didn't want to wake you up."

So that was the reason.

Yvonne felt even more apologetic. Just now, she had felt a sense of loss for no reason, only to find that it was just an unnecessary concern.

He was really occupied with work, yet he spared some time to come and check on her frequently. She didn't even notice this and was fast asleep. She didn't put herself in his shoes to understand how difficult it was on him.

"I'm sorry," She said quickly, "I didn't expect to be in such a deep sleep."

"It's good since you slept well," Zachary lowered his head to look at her.

Yvonne stared at him, and their gaze met. She swore that she saw rays surging in his gaze.

It was warm and gentle.

His gaze burned right through her. It was exactly like his lips the previous night. His tall and perfect physique had barged into her life and made himself a part of her world. It was unscrupulous yet extremely cherishing.

Yvonne didn't really dare to look into his eyes.

Just then, she heard him say, "The fact that you fell into such a deep sleep means my service is adequate."

Yvonne was stupefied and immediately understood what he meant. She looked up and right into his smiling eyes again.

Seriously, why would he pull such flirtatious jokes on her all the time? After teasing her, she would find it a little difficult to control herself.

He was clearly in a well-ironed suit, and had a cold face and deep-set of eyes that were fixated on her. He seemed so naive and innocent, but when he was being perverted and suggestive, no one was able to resist him.

Sure enough, men were men.

This must be what the so-called "civilized beast" was.

He was so handsome yet so malicious.

Yvonne was at a loss. Her face was flushed, and with a soft voice, she said, "How on earth did you become like this? I almost don't recognize you anymore."

"What did I become like?" Zachary lowered his head and looked at her. Their eyes were inches apart, and it seemed like he was not going to back off until he got the answer he wanted.

Yvonne noticed traces of hickeys on his neck, evidence from the passionate moment they had the night before. It was still red and swollen, each of them oozing with intimacy.

Yvonne hurriedly shifted her gaze and muttered in a soft voice, "Now, there's nothing you dare not say. Last time, you wouldn't say this kind of stuff."

These words were making people blush.

Zachary smirked, "Years ago, I was still a teenager. If back then I flirted with you like how I did now, you might most probably run away. However, if I'm still like an innocent teenager now, won't it be too boring?" Yvonne was taken aback. She didn't expect him to say this.

She pursed her lips together and retorted, "The way you flirt with me makes you look like an experienced playboy."

If she didn't know Zachary, she would probably think that Zachary was busy playing around with various women for the past few years.

Zachary was not one to be trifled with.

Naturally, he could understand what she was saying. With a slight smile, he raised his eyebrows and chuckled, "It doesn't matter if you think that I'm a playboy. But being experienced? I certainly won't take this blame."

Yvonne also chuckled.

She found that Zachary's gaze was steady and honest. Looking into her eyes, he explained seriously, "I only treated you like this because it was you, not because I'm experienced."

"I never said that you needed to learn this from somewhere else," Yvonne explained, "I just think that you're too smart. You're gifted at this, aren't you?"

When Zachary heard this, the slightly gloomy emotion in his eyes gradually faded away, and he just stared at Yvonne without a word.

Yvonne was so nervous that she was about to have goosebumps. She was genuinely scared that Zachary wouldn't believe her and that he would be mad. "Zachary, what I mean is that I believe in you. I'm just curious as to why an innocent and pure person like you would become so flirtatious!" "Innocent and pure?" Zachary frowned, "Flirtatious?"

"Yes," Yvonne's small hand unconsciously grabbed onto the collar of his suit.

Zachary smirked and answered, "You might as well have said that I'm horny."

It meant the same thing anyways.

Yvonne wasn't even in the mood to reply to him.

Her face was as red as a tomato as she grumbled softly, "What's the difference? It's all the same. You are so seductive and flirtatious." "That's because you're my love. The reason I behave like this is all because of you."
