"Jensen," Alice's worry grew as his grip was strong and burning.

She reminded him, "Can you be a little more gentle? My shoulders hurt."

However, as soon as the words left her mouth, Jensen's grip became tighter.

Alice froze and subconsciously pushed Jensen away but to no avail.

His grip was so strong that it scared her.

"Jensen, don't do this. What's going on with you?"

"I am f*cking going crazy," Jensen shouted painfully, "Ever since you became a businesswoman, I have been living like a bachelor. How can I not be crazy?"

Every time he wanted to spend more time with her, he couldn't.

What hurt him, even more, was that she was becoming more capable while he became more childish.

Jensen was a policeman. How could he act childishly?

But Alice made him feel less like himself as time passed. He was immersed in his own world, and instead of feeling like a man, he felt more like a woman living in an insecure marriage.

"Jensen," Alice also felt aggrieved. "You're hurting my shoulder. I am your wife, not your toy to vent your anger on."

"You still remember that you're my wife?" Jensen was like a madman. He suddenly lowered his head and closed in on Alice's neck.

His warm breath washed over Alice's neck.

At that moment, her eyes widened in shock. All she felt was his teeth biting down aggressively on her neck.

"Jensen," Alice couldn't help but cry out as her mind went blank.

Even her breathing had come to a halt.

Her body stiffened even more. Jensen's bite was rather heavy.

Alice was sure that a bite mark would form. Her skin wouldn't break, but it felt deep and painful.

She knew that his anger had been brewing in the past few days. But, so was she.

Jensen stopped moving. Although he had loosened his bite, he still didn't let go.

Alice stopped speaking and closed her eyes.

She would let him do as he wished.

As long as doing so could calm him down, she wouldn't say anything.

But she felt aggrieved.

He was not a gentleman, and she hated him for that.

A few moments later, she felt his teeth leave her neck, but what came after was his tongue licking where he had bitten.

Oh!

That feeling was creepy, strange and yet familiar.

"Jensen," she said in a low voice.

Jensen loosened his grip as well.

He became more gentle.

Alice felt better, but the suffering resumed. She realized that both of them had not been like this for a long time.

If he hadn't gone mad, perhaps they would still be cold towards each other. Ending their relationship coldly too.

Because of past trauma, she felt extremely scared deep down. Hence, she was never keen on doing something like this.

Their relationship had been fine not long ago. However, after they had moved back to the Charm family home, their surroundings became strict and inflexible, so they did not dare to act too rashly. She lived an oppressive life during her days in the Charm family home.

Now that she had taken over Sunny Group, she felt even more depressed because of the pressure from her work.

Because it had been a long time since they had been intimate, she felt uneasy.

And even somewhat embarrassed.

She was even more embarrassed when she remembered they hadn't spoken affectionately to each other. What was left between them were arguments and silent treatments.

"Jensen," she cried in a low voice again as she tried to push him away.

But Jensen suddenly bit her neck again.

He bit a different place and the force was just as heavy. Alice was sure she couldn't let anyone see her neck the next day.

She couldn't help but get nervous. "What in the world are you trying to do? Let me go, I have a meeting tomorrow morning."

Jensen's eyes darkened, and more emotions filled his eyes. He bit even harder.

Alice could no longer stand it.

It seemed that Jensen had really made up his mind this time and would not show her any mercy. Alice's eyes turned red because of the pain she felt.

Her eyes were misty. She pursed her lips and said. "You, I get that you want to vent your frustrations but who gave you the right to feel aggrieved? I feel the same too. You sure are petty for a man. How dare you act like that? I'm already married to you and you said that you would compensate me. Look at what you're doing."

Jensen was stunned, and there was a trace of regret in his eyes.

"If you have any resentment against me in this matter, it has everything to do with the harm we caused from the beginning. Besides, it's not that I don't want to cooperate with you, I'm just tired. Can't you be more considerate?" the more Alice spoke, the more aggrieved she felt.

Tears streamed down her face and trickled onto Jensen's shoulder. His body stiffened at the burning sensation.

"Heinz, Grace, and even Mr. Yarbrough could understand my situation. They know it's not easy for a woman like me to take over the company. Did I do the job for my sake?

Do you know how many families the Sunny Group is feeding? Wasn't the reason you became a policeman was so that you could fulfill your dream and your adherence to the law?

Why are you so petty when it comes to me? I thought you understood me, but what did you do?

Jensen, you bit me, gave me the silent treatment, vented your frustrations at me, and even hid the fact that my sister was assaulted all for your selfish desires. Are you still a man or not?" Her rant really irritated Jensen.

He immediately picked Alice up.

"Ah!" She lost her balance and instantly screamed.

"You will know whether I am a man or not," He really held his anger and wanted to prove to her that not only was he a man, he was also one who had been suppressing for a long time. Alice was frightened.

She also felt even more aggrieved.

She looked at him with a grievance in her eyes as she was being thrown to the bed and said, "I don't think I did anything wrong. I didn't do anything wrong. Why are you treating me like this? Why are you so emotional?"

Why?

Because he cared about her. Because he wanted to be an indomitable man for her instead of being one that supported her from behind.

It was just that she probably couldn't understand the deep sense of inferiority he was feeling.

Thinking of his behavior, he also became upset. He reached out to hold Alice's chin, looked down at her, and said, "Alice, do you think that I'm just a mere policeman and you are the president of Sunny Group?"

"Huh?" Alice was stunned. She saw that he looked serious, his eyes were red, and his tone was also fierce.

She was very puzzled as she couldn't understand why he felt so aggrieved. "What are you saying? Whether I am the president of Sunny Group or not, you are my husband and a policeman. That's a fact. Why are you so fixated on this matter?"
