True Fated Marriage (Grace and Heinz) -
Chapter 1056 Terrified When You Think About It Carefully
Heinz glanced at Timothy indifferently. There were not too many emotions in his eyes. He just said in a low voice, "I believe you, Mr. Yarbrough." Timothy's hand clenched into a fist at his side, and his voice was stuck in his throat. He nodded and uttered bitterly, "Take care of Grace."
After that, Timothy turned and walked to his car.
He didn't even know how he got into the car. All he knew was that his mind was blank.
He felt a pent-up frustration growing in his chest and anger overflowed from his heart.
This was not a coincidence nor was it unintentional.
"This is definitely not true." He told himself. He took a deep breath and covered his face with his hands.
Great guiltiness made him tremble uncontrollably. How could he still owe his daughter?
He had owed her for a lifetime, and now he could not just let this matter pass like that.
Quinn Berkeley!
No matter what, you shouldn't have harmed my daughter.
Timothy pondered for a long time before he started the car and drove away.
Before he got home, he sat in the parking lot and smoked.
The smell of tobacco lingered in the air. His eyes were sharp, as if he had made up his mind, and his eyes were full of anger.
Finally, he walked towards his home.
After a short while, the door opened.
He saw his wife sitting on the sofa. She was still the same as when he left earlier. She did not even change her clothes.
"You're back?" The sound of the door opening seemed to have alerted her. She stood up and walked towards him, still sounded concerned, "How's Grace? Why did she end up in hospital all of a sudden?" Timothy didn't say anything. He just raised his eyes and stared at her calmly.
Quinn was startled and tilted her head slightly. Looking at her husband, she couldn't help but tremble, "What's wrong? Is Grace all right?"
Timothy still stayed silent and just stared at Quinn, quietly, without a word. He just looked at
her.
Quinn was very puzzled. She looked at herself doubtfully and then at her husband, "What are you looking at? Timothy? You're worrying me. How is Grace? Don't scare me."
It was so flawless.
Timothy looked at her, his eyes remained very calm.
He did not show any emotion.
But Quinn felt that Timothy was enveloped in rage, even though he did not speak at all.
Her eyes flashed and looked at her husband again. Looking into his eyes, she was trying to perceive his thoughts.
"Quinn?" Timothy finally called her name.
"Eh?" Quinn panicked.
When their eyes met, she finally saw the eagle-like rage in her husband's eyes. It was so menacing that it made her freeze in an instant. She stood there, not knowing what should be said. Timothy fell silent again. His deep eyes were full of fury and anger.
He stared at his wife for a long time before moving to the sofa.
Quinn was stunned. With a flicker in her eyes, she watched her husband as he sat on the sofa, and her eyes glimmered.
"You're really great." Timothy suddenly spoke.
Quinn froze. She looked at her husband dazedly. Then, she smiled awkwardly, trying hard to make herself look more natural.
"Timothy, what are you talking about? I'll feel shy if you suddenly praise me like this. It's already so late, let's get changed and get some sleep. We're getting old, and we can't stay up late all the time."
"I would be seeking death if I'm still not smart enough at this age." Timothy's voice was low and deep, and there were not too many emotions in it.
Quinn froze as her eyes filled with hurt. She pursed her lips and walked towards Timothy. Standing in front of him, she looked at him and asked, "Timothy, what's wrong with you? Although I don't know what happened, I'm puzzled by your strange words. Can you give me a clear hint?"
"A clear hint?" Timothy sneered. He looked at his wife and raised his eyebrows. He curved his lips into a smile, no anger, just a smile. It was another level of danger that could make people hold their breath, "What kind of clear hint should I give you? There are some things that you and I know well."
"I really don't know what you're talking about." Quinn looked at him and smiled, trying to calm herself down.
"Are you treating me, a man who is almost fifty, as the students in your class? Thinking that I'm easy to be fooled with?" Timothy questioned her.
"Timothy!" Quinn yelled.
"What? You stand it already?" Timothy chuckled and said coldly, "Do you feel wronged? Or do you want to pretend to be wronged?"
"Timothy, what exactly are you trying to say? What do you mean? I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to tell me. Why did you act like this suddenly? Did Grace tell you something?" Quinn felt that must be the case. She must have told him something.
Timothy sneered, "What did Grace tell me? Why are you worried about what Grace told me? You always mention her now and then. As a stepmother, aren't you being too enthusiastic about caring for Grace so much?"
"I, I care about her all for your sake." Quinn's eyes were full of shock, and there were sparkles of tears. Just like that, she suddenly burst into tears. She looked as if she was mistreated.
"Yes, everything you did was for my sake." Timothy's words had a double entendre.
A woman's jealousy was so scary.
He vaguely guessed that it was not as simple as it seems and it was not a coincidence.
"Grace is your child, shouldn't I love her too?" Quinn questioned him, "I can love my student truly, can't I love my husband?"
"I didn't say you can't." Timothy smiled faintly, and his sharp gaze locked on Quinn's, "Are you sure you really love Grace?"
"I care about her and love her because of you." Quinn answered, "Why are you talking in such a weird way? What do you mean?"
"If you don't feel guilty, how can you tell that I am being skeptical? Don't I talk like this normally?" Timothy's indifferent voice did not have much emotion. He just stared at his wife. He did not want to miss any expressions on Quinn's face.
A person would change. A simple and lovely woman could turn into a terrible madman because of love, just like Candace.
Quinn's transformation probably started since Candace and Grace appeared.
It was just that he never put two and two together.
Now that he thought about it, it was truly terrifying.
He still remembered how his wife cared for Grace deliberately when he visited her during the day. She even brought a gift.
A fruit basket.
Oh, when he came back, she was still cutting fruits, saying that their sons had eaten a lot.
She also cut up a cantaloupe for him to eat. What did she want to prove? It seemed to him that she was proving there was nothing wrong with the fruits.
