Selenia has been in the pack for a few days now. She's adjusted nicely so far. She and my

sisters get along great and my mom adores her. She was so excited about practicing magic with Selenia. Selenia seemed to be happy about it too.

Silas hasn't been around since we got back. He's probably off in some other state or country by now, as usual.

Rhett has been extra moody lately. He sulks and gives me dirty looks when he's around me, but his face lights up when he sees Selenia. That pisses me off. I don't like that he gets excited about seeing my mate. She's mine and he made his decision. He has Nicole. I actually haven't seen her around lately. Not sure why. I expected her to be showing everyone her new mark. And I expected Rhett to be marked by now. It's weird that he marked Nicole, but she hasn't marked him back yet. That's not normal.

Selenia woke me up this morning by telling me she had something to show me. I have no idea what it could be, but she left before me and I quickly got dressed to follow her. When I get outside, I saw her going into the forest. I run after her, trying to catch up. She looks back and flashes me a big smile. Goddess, she's so perfect.

Selenia stops in a clearing surrounded by thick trees. You can no longer see the pack grounds from here, but we are still in our territory, so I leave her. Selenia turns towards me. I go to take a step forward when she grabs the hem of her dress and lifts it up over her head. I nearly fall on my a*s from what is now before me. I grab the tree next to me as I take her in. Selenia is completely naked in front of me. Her pale skin looks brighter in the early morning sun, her hair shining against the sun's rays. Her round breasts and dusty pink n!pples sit perfectly on her chest. Her slender waist and wide hips leading down to her pale legs. As I'm looking down her, my eyes stop right at her core. Her pussy is bare and I feel myself getting rock hard thinking of sinking myself into her.

Selenia suddenly turns around, lifting her hair up slightly. Her a*s is so round and perfect. I just want to take her now in any way she'd let me. Flynn is in my head howling at the sight of his mate. He's going crazy right now.

Selenia clears her throat, breaking me from my trance. I realize my mouth is hanging open. I look up at her beautiful face, looking into her big blue eyes. She smiles at me and I find myself moving towards her again. Before I can reach her, Selenia holds up her hand and I stop. She smiles again before kneeling on the ground, her long hair falling around her. I follow her motion and sink to my hands and knees. I feel physically weak from how much I want her- no, need her in my life with me. By my side. In my bed. Just her. From now on. It will only ever be her. I waited for so long to have my mate. Being of Alpha blood, girls fell at Rhett and I's feet, but I always turned them away, knowing nothing would ever compare to my mate. And I was right. Selenia is beyond perfect to me. She belongs with me and I will single-handedly kill anyone who tries to take her away from me. Including my twin, if he tries anything.

"Blake." Selenia whispers to me and I look in her beautiful eyes. Goddess, she is breathtaking. "Selenia." I say quietly back to her.

"I'm going to show you my magic now." Selenia says. I raise my eyebrows and sit back on my heels.

"What are you going to show me?" I ask her.

"Something simple. What would you like to see?"

I suddenly feel very stupid. I don't know that much about the fae or what their powers can do. I look down at the ground.

"I'm sorry, Selenia. I don't know much about fae magic. I don't know what you can do. I don't want to ask you to do something impossible like grow a plant." I say. As I keep my eyes on the forest floor, the grass starts to move. I furrow my brows and suddenly, a blue flower sprouts and blooms right before my eyes. My eyes go wide as a few more flowers sprout and bloom around me. I look up at Selenia and she has her hands in the grass in front of her. She has this golden aura around her and I'm not sure how it's possible, but she looks even more beautiful than before.

"You don't have to feel guilty or upset about not knowing what I can do. I'm the same when it comes to you. I know nothing about what werewolves are, other than what Laurel taught us growing up. And so far, I have found out those teachings are very much a lie. Laurel told us all werewolves were bloodthirsty animals who kill for pleasure. He said they were by far the most untrustworthy creatures besides the warlocks. He made you out to be beasts who would murder a fae on sight. He made us live in fear that if we stepped too far outside of the village walls, we would surely be killed by a werewolf. When we heard werewolves were going to be in our village, panic struck everyone. Everyone except Laurel. He was calm and worry free. I knew right away there was something wrong because Laurel is a coward, and if something dangerous was coming, he'd be scared and panicking himself. Laurel was not scared of the werewolves. This made me think that maybe the werewolves were not the monsters he was telling us they were."

"But, how did you not know this before if you can tell when someone is lying? Wouldn't you know right away from his lessons he was full of s**t?" I ask, angry that Laurel would do that. Some werewolves are bad, but we are the closest pack to them and we have never even crossed patches with the fae to make them think this way.

"Laurel never taught me personally. I think he knew I'd be able to see through his lies, so he'd give me books to read and told me to ask the elders if I had questions. He tried to avoid me when it came to our lessons. I could feel his nervousness, but never knew why until now." Selenia explains.

"You know we're not like that, right? We don't kill for pleasure and we're definitely not beasts." I say to her.

"I know. I've only been here a little while, but I can tell everything I was taught was wrong. Most of the people here are nicer than the fae back home. I know nothing of your kind, other than you are not what I was led to believe. I'm starting from square one, just like you." Selenia says. I nod and look around at the flowers.

"Can you show me more?" I ask and Selenia smiles at me before putting her hands back in the grass. The golden aura reappears and the trees around us start to move. They seem to grow taller and the leaves thicken on the branches. I feel something on my legs and I look down to see vines wrapping themselves around me. They cross over my lap and climb up my torso. I look up at Selenia with a smile and see vines hanging down around her. She grabs onto one with one hand and suddenly she's being lifted into they air. I pull the vines off me easily and stand up, almost tripping as I go to where she was just sitting. I look up and see Selenia standing in a tree.

"Selenia! Be careful!" I call up to her. Selenia looks down at me and smiles.

"I can feel how worried you are from way up here. You need to relax. You think this is my first time in a tree?" She asks and she starts walking along the thick branch, her a*s swaying side to

side.

"Werewolves don't climb trees, so it never crossed my mind that this was a possibility. I don't want you to fall." I say. Selenia smirks.

"Fall? Oh, you mean like this?" Selenia steps off the branch and I panic, thinking she's going to hit the ground. I rush to catch her before I realize she's not falling. What the hell? She's... floating? She's slowing coming back down to the ground. Once she's down in front of me, she smiles and steps into me.

"Uh, what was that?" I ask, extremely confused.

"Different fae call it different things. It's like flying or floating. We can't do it for long and it's only downwards, but basically we can make ourselves nearly weightless and slowly fall down back to the earth, sort of like a leaf." Selenia explains. "I like to use vines to get up into the trees and I know others do as well, but most warriors just jump. We can jump very high."

I just know I'm looking at her weird, because Selenia giggles and steps back away from me before jumping so fast, I almost miss it. She's back in the trees, on a different branch. I turn to look at her and walk slowly over to her. She steps off the branch and floats back down. I hold out my arms and she lands right on me, wrapping her arms and legs around me.

"You're looking at me weird and I can feel how surprised you are." Selenia says.

"I'm speechless. It's incredible what you can do. It's so different from my mom's magic. It's nothing like I expected." I tell her.

"Is that good or bad?"

"It's good. Very good. You are amazing." I say and Selenia smiles. I lean into her, kissing her

softly.

"You are also amazing. I don't think you understand what you are capable of. You are a shapeshifter. You have the soul of another being in your mind and you both coexist peacefully with each other. You are content with sharing this body that is able to literally rearrange bones and organs to turn itself willingly into a different form. My magic feels so small compared to

that." Selenia says.

"You make me out to seem so cool, when in reality, I share a body with a mutt who never shuts

up about shifting. And now his mate. But I'm okay with him talking about you because I agree with everything he says." I smirk at her, pulling her closer to me, her naked body pressed

against me.

"And what does Flynn say about me?" Selenia asks with a small smile.

"Lots of dirty and inappropriate things. Especially now with you completely naked. It's taking

all my willpower not to let him burst through and take over." I say to her.

"Would that be bad?" Selenia asks.

"Yes. He's not in control of himself right now. He will try to mate and mark you, even if you don't want him to. So I have to hold him back for now." I tell her.

"If it's a problem, I can put my dress back on." Selenia offers. I suck in a breath. As much as I

hate to see her cover up, it might be for the best right now. We're not at the point where we've agreed on the marking process yet. Although she asks lots of questions, she hasn't said she wants it yet. She refers to it as a future event when talking about it. I have no problem waiting, but Flynn has different opinions.

"I love to see you like this, but Flynn is just going nuts right now. I need to have him chill out, so maybe that's for the best. But we can definitely do this again later." I give her a wink.

"As long as your outfit matches mine." Selenia smirks as she turns to get her dress off the ground. My eyes go wide as I take in what she just said.

"You want me naked too?" I ask with a small laugh.

"It's only fair. I only got to see you naked very briefly when you shifted. That didn't count

because there was tons of people around." Selenia says. She bends to pick up her dress and

her p***y peaks through her legs. I take a deep breath.

"f**k," I say under my breath, turning my head away. I hear her putting her dress on and suddenly, her arms wrap around my waist.

"I really make you squirm, don't I?" Selenia asks.

"Yes, very much so." I say.

"Good. Payback." Selenia says, letting me go and walking back towards the packhouse.

"Wait, what? Payback for what?" I ask, my voice going higher than expected. Selenia laughs as she flings her hair over her shoulder.

"I saw you training yesterday with all the warriors. You had your shirt off and were covered in

sweat. You took down all those guys like they weighed nothing. It was the hottest damn thing I had ever seen in my life. And I will be watching that again. As often as I can." Selenia smiles with a light blush across her cheeks. My jaw drops at her confession.

"I can't believe you were spying on me." I joke with her, "You can watch me train anytime you

want. You can even sit right on the sidelines for a close-up view of my shirtless, sweaty body. As long as you're only looking at mine."

"There isn't anyone else I'd rather look at." Selenia says and she holds out her hand. "Come on.

I get hungry after using magic."

I take her hand and we head back towards the packhouse. As we're walking, I look down at my beautiful mate and I can't help but think of how I ever went without her. She's been here three days and she's already changed my life. And I think I might be in love with her.
