James gave Cassidy a call as well, asking her to go to Room 8801 and take a look at the situation.

Cassidy hung up the phone and was apprehensive. She did not dare to disobey James' order, but she could not afford to offend Sherman either. They were both a whiz in the business world, and if she were to offend any one of them, she would have to accept the consequences!

She thought about it, took a bottle of wine, and knocked on the door of Room 8801. Upon entering, she saw that both Sherman and Suzy were sitting on the sofa. It seemed like Sherman had not done anything excessive, so she was relieved and said with a soft smile, "You haven't come here for quite some time, Mr. Miller. I'm giving you a bottle of wine to thank you for supporting us on the eighth floor for so long!"

Sherman seemed to have seen through her thoughts at one glance and said with a half-smile," You're being too polite, Cassidy. Why didn't you tell me that such a pretty lady has come to work on the eighth floor? You're treating me like an outsider here!' Cassidy pretended to be confused. "Are you referring to Suzy, Mr. Miller? She just started, and we simply hadn't gotten the chance to inform you. Please don't take it to heart!"

Sherman smiled lightly and looked at the bottle of wine she brought. "If you finish up the entire bottle of wine, then I won't take it to heart!" Cassidy's expression changed slightly, and she said with a bashful smile, "You're joking around again, Mr. Miller!" The smile on Sherman's face faded. "Since when am I joking around?"

Cassidy could not help but feel flustered. Although Sherman was somewhat eccentric, he had never made things difficult for her. He was suddenly losing his temper today, so she was afraid that he must have realized she was here to keep an eye out on the situation. She could not help but tremble. She was even more afraid that her presence would offend Sherman from now on!

She smiled and opened the wine bottle. "It's indeed my fault, so I'll be apologizing to you, Mr. Miller. I'll drink the whole bottle in one shot!"

Suzy raised her hand to take the wine from Cassidy's hand and looked at Sherman. "If you're angry, I'll apologize for it. But there's no need to vent your anger on others." She did not know that someone had taken photos of them and posted them on Instagram. The photos were seen by James. She also did not know that Cassidy had been entrusted to come here by James. Suzy merely assumed that James was angered by her words, and she had implicated Cassidy. 1.

Ever since the day she arrived in Kelson, Cassidy had been taking good care of her. She could no longer let Cassidy take the blame for her.

A hint of coldness flashed across Sherman's eyes. Forgetting about the fact that she was protecting George, she was now protecting an irrelevant person as well. What did she take him for? He smiled, but it was completely insincere. "Okay. Then you drink up!"

Suzy looked at Sherman and felt that she had been somewhat impulsive earlier. She should have just poured the wine on Sherman's head. Why did she say she would apologize for it? For what?!

"Are you regretting it now?" Sherman smiled wickedly. Cassidy shot a glance at Suzy. "I'll drink with Mr. Miller, so you shouldn't get involved! There are guests in Room 8809. Go and see if they need anything!" Cassidy was thinking that Sherman would certainly know that Room 8809 was George's private room. If she were to say this, perhaps Sherman would feel somewhat frightened.

However, Sherman's face became even darker when he heard this. He said in a low voice, "If she can't finish this whole bottle of wine today, no one's allowed to leave the building!"

Suzy was not surprised by Sherman's moodiness. Her small face was indifferent and expressionless. She took the wine bottle and poured some into her own glass. Then, she raised her head and gulped the whole glass down. Then, she poured out a second glass. When she was about to drink, Sherman suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist. His peachy eyes showed traces of coldness. "That's enough!"

Sherman was angry about her not knowing what was good for her, upset that the person she liked was George, and resentful that she was constantly looking at him with such cautious eyes. However, seeing her being forced to drink, he still felt unhappy!

Bang! The door was kicked wide open. Several of them looked back at the door at the same time.

George's tall and indifferent figure stood at the door. His gaze fell on Sherman's hand that was holding onto Suzy's, and his eyes suddenly sank a little. Cassidy heaved a sigh of relief. She immediately stepped forward to say, "You're here, Mr. Laine!"

Suzy broke free from Sherman's hand, stood up, and looked at George who was walking toward them.

Sherman got up as well, and his face had switched into a casual expression. "You're always so timely, Mr. Laine!"
