Suzy turned around to look outside, and the women had already begun to surround George. Her eyes seemed mischievous as she thought, 'There are so many women out there, so they'll keep him entertained for a while. At least just enough time for me to finish an ice cream.'

She walked to an inconspicuous corner and waited, feeling excited and secretly overjoyed. Suddenly, her phone lit up. It was Olive who sent a message asking her when she would return to River City

When Suzy lowered her head to reply to the message, someone came over to bring her the juice and ice cream.

"Thank you!" Suzy thanked the person and looked at her ice cream. However, her eyes landed on the hands holding the tray.

The joints on the guy's fingers were well defined. The hand was somewhat fair and handsome looking, while the branded watch on the person's wrist was flickering under the light of the lamp. Suzy jolted in shock and suddenly looked up.

George had withdrawn his hands and placed them into his trousers' pocket. He looked down at her from the top, calm and unruffled in the midst of chaos.

Suzy smiled with her eyes, but her voice was lacking in vigor as she called out, "Uncle George!"

"You betrayed me for ice cream?" The man's lips curled into a half-smile. His tone was light, but the look in his eyes was brimming with a sense of danger.

Suzy took a deep breath and complimented, "Actually, it's because I trust your character, Uncle George."

"Is that so?" George sat down on her opposite side and asked, "Isn't it because you were hoping I'd get entangled with them for a while and you'd be able to enjoy this ice cream happily?" Just as Suzy was about to deny it, the man interrupted, "Think before you speak another word. Only honest kids will be rewarded!"

Suzy thought about it before laughing dryly. "They wanted to get to know you, so I merely encouraged them. How can you call that a betrayal?" George's interest was piqued. He asked, "How'd you encourage them?" "I just simply told them that my uncle there doesn't have a girlfriend, and off they went," Suzy said in a well-behaved manner.

"You're not wrong. I truly don't have a girlfriend." George nodded in agreement. Suzy shrugged at him as if she was in the right.

George leisurely said, "I don't have a girlfriend, but I do have a bed partner. She's a rather disobedient one and needs proper discipline from time to time."

Afterward, he took out his mobile phone and called Jessie. "Book a hotel near the River household." Suzy's facial expression changed in an instant. "Why are you booking a hotel?"

George glanced at her and smiled slightly. "What do you think? I think we still have enough time to get back to the River household before dark."

Suzy showed a shocked expression. Then, her expression softened up as she reached out to tug on George's sleeve. "I was wrong. I won't do it again!"

"What'd you do wrong?" George put the phone on the table and asked calmly. "I shouldn't have tried to eat ice cream behind your back!" Suzy said obediently. "Anything else?"

"I shouldn't have encouraged those women to harass you!"

George nodded and asked again, "How should I punish you once we get back?"

"As you wish!"

This time around, the man was finally satisfied. He got up to walk out.

Suzy followed him, stretched out her hand to hold two glasses of juice, and looked at the ice cream in distress. Should she take it?

George halted his footstep, took the juice from her hand, and looked at the ice cream. "Don't want it?"

Suzy was stunned. She immediately became overjoyed. "Can I eat it?"

"As a reward for you!" said the man.

Suzy was beaming from ear to ear. Her whole face was bright as she took the ice cream in her hand and smiled at George in contentment.

George smiled back as he held her hand and walked out.
