George said, "Ean's exam is coming up. You should come over to do reviews with him every night. I'll double your salary."

Suzy lowered her eyes, scratching the wood grain on the railing with her fingers. "That's unnecessary. Ean's progress is pretty good, so I'll only go over on weekends to strengthen his knowledge. He'll do fine in the exam. Besides, I have something to do in these two days, so I can't make it."

George's voice deepened. "Aren't you on a break? What are you doing?"

Suzy bit her lower lip and said lightly, "My classmate and I have taken a wall painting job, so we'll be busy for a few days."

George did not say anything. The two of them fell silent on the phone. After a while, he said softly, "I see."

After speaking, he immediately hung up the phone.

Suzy put down her phone, put her arms on the railing, looked at the splendid night in River City, and let out a sigh. She wanted to get rid of the depression in her heart.

The cultural wall painting progressed smoothly in the first two days. Hence, they were at the final stage in the afternoon of the third day.

Colt stepped on the wooden ladder to finish the final coloring. Suzy accidentally rubbed some paint on her face when she was packing, so she told Colt and went to the restroom to wash her face.

There was someone in the restroom, so she waited for a while. When she came back, she saw a lot of people standing in front of the cultural wall they just painted. All the things on the ground had been pushed away, and the wooden ladder was lying on one side. Meanwhile, Colt was negotiating with the staff.

Suzy walked over and asked, "What's going on?"

Colt said with a sullen face, "The influencer Berry Company hired to work with has her eyes on the cultural wall we're painting and wants to take a photo here."

The staff member explained, "It's just a few photos. It won't take much time. Please just wait a while."

Colt said, "Tell them to hurry up, The wall isn't dry yet, so don't touch it. Otherwise, we'll have to work on it again."

The staff member nodded before going to negotiate with the people working with the influencer.

Suzy and Colt waited for them at one side. The group of people were still gathered there and refused to leave. Colt went over to ask, and the staff member told him that the influencer wanted to shoot a video here. She would only leave after she was happy with it.

Suzy took a few steps closer to take a look. The influencer had some early 90s makeup on. She was wearing a traditional costume and a mink scarf while she posed by the plum blossoms on the stone steps they drew.

That was fine. However, someone decided to spray some artificial snow. When the white fluff fell on the wet wall, it immediately started staining it.

Colt immediately stepped forward to stop them. "Our painting is still wet, so you can't spray this kind of fluff. Otherwise, our three days of hard work will be in vain."

The influencer's manager came over and pushed Colt with a cold face. "I saw you obstructing my people at one side just now. Why are you yelling? Just redo it if it's ruined. What's so hard about it?"

The manager was a woman, so Colt could not do anything after he was pushed and reprimanded. Hence, his face turned dark with anger. "What's so hard? Isn't respecting the fruits of other people's labor the most basic quality someone should have?"

"What qualifications do you have to talk to me about quality? Do you know who Jenny is? She's a huge influencer with ten million fans. She can make your life a living hell with just a click of her finger," the manager yelled arrogantly. "If you're smart, you'd better get lost. Stop making so much noise and angering Jenny!"

The staff member came to stop the fight. The influencer named Jenny looked irritated." What's going on? Is this person from your company? I was invited by your company, and there's still a lot of work waiting for me, so hurry up, okay? Don't waste my time. My time is money, and you can't afford to waste it!".

Colt strode over and said to Jenny, "You're the person in charge of this team, right? We spent three days drawing this wall. You can take photos, but you're not allowed to spray those fluff or throw petals."

Jenny scoffed and said in a heavy accent, "You're not allowing us? Who are you? The general manager of this company called me personally to ask me to be the ambassador of his company. Get your facts right."

She rolled her eyes at Colt and had a disdainful look on her face. "You're just a painter yet you're challenging me. What kind of world are we living in?".

"What's wrong with being a painter? We were also hired by this company. You and I are both working, so why is there a difference between who's the more superior one?" Colt retorted,

Jenny said impatiently, "Fine, enough. You just want money, right? Give him money. Is 10,000

enough? If not, give him 20,000. I'm wasting more than 20,000 from wasting my time here with you. You people are just beggars. Hurry up and take out your phone for the transfer." Colt pushed the staff member who had their hands on him and tried to be reasonable with Jenny.

It could be seen that Colt was a child from a well-educated family. He would not do anything to women and just tried to talk to them so that they would back away.

However, he suffered a lot of insults and attacks from more people from Jenny's team. Plus, the staff member from Berry Company did not dare to help him.

Suzy walked over, grabbed Colt's arm, and pulled him back. Her voice was deep and calm." Stop talking to her. Let me do it."

After she said that, she lifted her leg and kicked the influencer named Jenny away.

The area fell into silence immediately.
