Chapter 109

Sunny braced herself to appear decent. "Alright. Once my painting is fixed, I'll invite you girls to

come visit again."

"Sure. Don't be too upset!" the two of them said

politely and hurried away.

Everyone had come here happily, but they left the place feeling rather upset. On their way back home, Yara did not say a word, while Sunny continued to

cry in silence.

Once they got home, Yara completely imploded. She threw the cup of water handed to her by the servant to the floor. "I'm so pissed! What on earth

happened?"

Sunny's eyes were swollen from crying. "I'm so

sorry, Mom!"

Yara was vexed. "Next time, can you clear things up before telling me? I've lost all my dignity because of

you."

Sunny looked at Yara's furious expression. Fear and disappointment formed in her eyes. She immediately covered her face and ran upstairs.

Jarold asked the servant to clean up the broken glass on the carpet. He then said solemnly, "Enough. Neenee's probably already feeling bad after this sort of thing happened. Stop blaming her!"

Yara sat down on the sofa, gasping for breath.

Jarold frowned. "This matter is indeed somewhat strange. Let me ask around about what's going on. Things were going well. How did Neenee's painting

get withdrawn?"

Yara turned her eyes and said coldly, "Investigate it. I have to find out who took down our Neenee's

painting!"

Sunny did not head to school on Monday. Then, after class in the afternoon, Cece gossiped to Suzy, saying, "Sunshine's painting was selected to be exhibited in the art exhibition, and she invited a

few people over to go see it. But when they arrived at the art exhibition, her painting wasn't even there. It's completely embarrassing."

Suzy's eyes appeared quiet. "How'd you

know?"

Cece sighed. "The entire school has been spreading

the news around the whole morning."

Sunny had excellent grades, was beautiful, and had a good family background. She was used to being an influential figure in school. Even the smallest news about her would spread akin to wildfire

around school.

Suzy sneered. "The people she invited to the art exhibition must have been people she thought were her good friends, but the next day, the entire school knows of her scandal. It just shows that she has a

really bad eye for people."

Cece had not thought about this before, but when Suzy mentioned it, she immediately nodded repeatedly in agreement. Then, Cece said suspiciously, "I do find the whole thing strange. Since she invited her friends to the art exhibition,

she must've been extremely confident. Why wasn't

her painting in the exhibition, then?"

Suzy smiled and said, "Who knows?"

She took out two tickets for the art exhibition from her bag. "These are for you."

Cece was dumbfounded for a moment before a burst of pleasant surprise overflowed from her eyes. She took the tickets and flipped them over again and again. "Where did you get these from?"

"A friend of mine gave these to me. I don't have the

time to go, so I'm giving them to you!"

Cece immediately picked Suzy up and twirled her around twice. "My Suzy! My darling Suzy! You're simply the best! You're just like my angel!"

Suzy pushed her off and smiled while saying, "Calm

down!"

Cece could not calm down. She placed the tickets on her mouth and kissed them vigorously. Then,

she asked, "Why'd you give me two?"

Suzy said, "Don't you want to ask your muse out? This is a great opportunity!"

Cece looked at Suzy excitedly, and Suzy immediately took a step back. "Stand there and

don't come over!"

Cece bobbed a curtsy and exclaimed, "Don't say

another word. In the future, I'll go through fire and

tread through water for you!"

Suzy smiled speechlessly. She turned her head and walked forward with a warm and lazy smile on her

face.
