"Hah. You're being too greedy!"

Randall laughed. "I'm satisfied that we've killed so many of them already. We'd probably be dead if you arrived a second too late!"

"That's right. Thank goodness you came, Young Master Fane, or we would have been cold bodies lying on the ground instead. Those guys refused to give up until we were dead!" A genius from the Woods family had an expression of relief.

"Let's go. We'll clear up the mess first, then I'll use my flying sword to take all of you to the place where the Woods family, Cabello family, and the Lancaster family members are gathered!" Fane smiled and told everyone.

"The Lancaster family? There's more of them there?"

Randall's eyes brightened when he heard this, and his heart leaped in delight.

"Quite a few too! They're all waiting in the forest at the foot of the mountain!"

Fane replied, nodding his head.

"Everyone, come here!"

Randall ordered his family members to come over and he fell onto his knees, kowtowing toward Fane. "Thank you, Young Master Fane, for saving us. We will never forget what you did for us!" "Thank you, Young Master Fane. You have our utmost gratitude!"

The other geniuses from the Lancaster family all fell to their knees as well, proclaiming toward Fane.

"Get up! You guys are embarrassing me!"

Fane was internally speechless. He hastily called for them to stand up.

"Young Master Fane, you can take all of the spoils of war from this battle!"

After Randall thought about it, he told Fane.

"No way. We killed so many people from the Church and the Lagorio families, and you're giving me all of the spoils of war?"

Fane was confused after he heard that, and he wondered if he had misheard something.

"That's right. They're all for you. If not for you, I would not be able to wake to another morning. You have to accept this token of gratitude!"

As Randall spoke, the rest of his people went to gather the spoils of war.

"How about this? I'll hold onto them for now, and we'll redistribute them when the competition is almost over based on how many plaques there are. It won't be too good for you if I'm too far ahead in the lead." Fane suggested after giving a bitter smile.

He was happy to take the spirited grass and other assorted materials, but if he took all the plaques and wound up far surpassing the geniuses from other families, he would find the situation difficult to explain. He could not chalk that many plaques up to pure luck.

The Hunt family would suspect him even if they did not have evidence.

"Hah. All right. At any rate, you must win the competition. It's fine if we don't have the plaques, so long as you win!"

Randall was an easygoing person. After he said that, he added, "Oh, right. I've decided that you'll be my Big Brother from now on. I've always looked up to you anyway. It must have been tough for someone from the mortal realm to cultivate themselves to this stage. So I'll be your Little Brother, and you'll be my Big Brother!"

Fane's features twisted into a slight grimace. "That wouldn't do. You're the son of Master Lancaster. How could you recognize me as a Big Brother?" he said humbly. "Many people look down on me because I'm from the mortal realm and am an illegitimate child. You'll become a laughingstock if you take me as your Big Brother!" "A laughingstock? Well, I'll just teach whoever dares to laugh at me a good

lesson!"
