The attack flew outward in an arc and landed on the brothers' chests, killing them instantly.

"So-so strong!"

Daniella was goggle-eyed. It took a few seconds before she gulped and spoke.

Fane took the martial rings from the eight bodies and flashed before Daniella. He smiled at her. "Let's get out of here quick. Someone might find out that I killed them otherwise. If the Norman family ever knows of this, they'll definitely bring trouble to our families even if they don't lash out immediately!"

"Okay!"

Daniella bobbed her head meekly and took

Fane's hand. The two flew upward and escaped from the site of the incident.

They only stopped after a while. Fane took the plaques, spirited grass, and other valuables out from those martial rings, discarding them once he sorted them into his own martial ring.

Daniella's chest felt warm. Fane had actually killed all those fellows which truly surprised her. She never thought that a straight-laced, conservative man like him would have his affectionate moments. A smile lit up on her face as she recalled that moment, and her heart pounded slightly.

"Oh, right. I saw your big sister yesterday!"

After Fane thought about it, he told Daniella, "Second Young Master Hunt is actually at the advanced stage of the true god status, and his fighting skill is very high. Your big sister was no match for him, but I managed to save her at the right moment. Otherwise, she might have been killed already."

"No way. She's at a high cultivation level and had broken into the advanced stage of the true god status a long time ago. But-but she couldn't beat the Second Young Master Hunt!"

Daniella took a sharp intake of breath when she heard this. "Second Young Master Hunt is truly a genius. He knows alchemy, and he has good raw talent. If he were to run into First Young Master Hunt, those two would practically be unstoppable together."

After she said that, she looked at Fane and smiled. "I think you were even stronger than some warriors at the peak of the true god status just now. You're amazing. No wonder you could rescue my sister. Heh. This is good. My sister must be grateful to you for saving her. Relations between our families will improve in the future!"

"Oh, right. What on earth happened between our families? Why can't we make amends even after so long? I still don't know what exactly transpired between the Woods family and the Cabello family!" After Fane thought about it, he looked at Daniella with a solemn expression.

"Oh, it's an old grudge. It's been donkey years since it happened!"

Daniella gave a bitter smile. "Your grandfather and my grandfather were fighting over a treasure, but both perished after the battle," she explained. "Then the two families' relationship soured, and we even fought a few times that resulted in many casualties. That's why there's still friction even after so many years. But we haven't openly declared war on each other!"

Fane did not know whether to laugh or cry when he heard the story. "So that's what happened. It's normal to fight over a treasure, but you'd think they would forget old grudges after so many years." Daniella grinned at this moment. "I think your father and my father actually do not harbor hate for each other any longer. But neither of them thinks that they are in the wrong, and both are such prideful figures. That's why they act as though they're nemeses once they see each other. They want to preserve their pride!"

After he heard this, Fane was speechless. However, he also understood that they were masters of first-class families. They would rather die first than admit defeat.

Daniella took a step forward and wrapped her arms around Fane's neck. "Don't worry. Our families' relations will get better once we get married. I'll definitely convince my father!"
