"Alright, you can come in now!" Changed into her new dress, Helena took a moment to recollect herself before calling out to Fane.

Fane entered the cave with a dead rabbit in his hands before he threw it aside.

"Why did you bring a rabbit in?" Helena immediately asked when she saw the tiny monster beast's body on the ground.

Fane smiled. "Since we have time, let's roast it as food later!"

He then exited the cave in search of some dried wood. He then ignited it and started roasting the rabbit after taking off its skin.

Sitting next to Fane, Helena took her time before softly asking, "Did you see anything

just now?"

"Ahem, ahem! I didn't see anything. Didn't you cover yourself with your clothes?" mumbled Fane as he coughed, embarrassed. "Although you're hurt, that monster beast isn't a high-level one, and you should've been able to handle it."

Helena rolled her eyes at him and said, " The tiger hid at the dark spot over there, and I didn't notice that there was a monster beast in here. I was surprised when it jumped forward. Also, do you think I should fight without wearing clothes?"

Only then did Fane realize what had happened as he sheepishly said, "You're right. This is the first time I've come to such a place. I've forgotten that there are many monster beasts here, and I should've checked the cave before letting you in." "Hmph," scoffed Helena, "lad you know this." A moment later, she then said, "By the way, you cannot tell my sisters about what happened just now."

Smiling, Fane assured, "Don't worry. I've seen nothing, so there should be nothing to say, right?"

Helena frowned and said angrily, "What do you mean? You mean to say that you'd tell people about what happened just now if you've seen something?"

"Uh, there's nothing much to say even if that's the case!" Fane smiled.

He pulled the rabbit's thigh down when the roasted meat was almost done and passed it to Helena. "Do you want to have some? Don't worry. You saw me roasting it; it's not poisoned or anything." "Mmph. I don't think you're daring enough to do so!" Helena felt warmth surging through her heart as she accepted the rabbit's thigh. This was the first time a man took care of her in such a way, and she felt rather touched by his actions.

Helena's eyes lit up after she took a small bite of the meat. "Mmh, this tastes great," she blurted. "It tastes really good!"

With a flip of his hand, Fane took a bottle of wine out and started drinking it.

Eyeing Fane, the rather shocked Helena spoke, "You really know how to enjoy life. You actually brought this out with you!"

"Haha... Do you want a sip?" Fane smiled and handed the wine in his hand outward.

"I don't want to drink it. I can have a couple of sips if we're with the Cabello family, but I dare not drink at such a place since it'll only spell trouble if I get drunk."
