The Second Act Revenge (Oneida and Jackson) -
The Second Act 175
Chapter 175
Chapter 175
Oneida thought, Take off my clothes?"
Her eyes widened slightly, and Oneida regarded Jackson with a complex expression.
Jackson understood that Oneida was feeling shy.
"Just the two of us here." His lips barely lifting, he explained with a calm demeanor.
"Only two people, right..." Oneida glanced at him meaningfully, "But that still includes you, doesn't it?"
'He's actually asking me to undress which is unbelievable.' Oneida thought.
Oneida didn't consider herself overly sensitive, but Oneida found herself reluctant to strip in front of a man Oneida hardly knew.
However, the dampness of her clothes was indeed quite uncomfortable.
Oneida pinched the hem of her clothing, trying to wring out the water.
Unexpectedly, a sudden gust of cool wind swept by, bringing a chill to the bone, and Oneida couldn't help but sneeze.
Seeing this, Jackson didn't hesitate. He took hold of Oneida's wrist and led her to the side.
"You..." Oneida widened her eyes in surprise and Oneida didn't expect the man to be so domineering all of a sudden.
"Take your clothes off," Jackson pressed, his tone brooking no argument. "Otherwise, you'll catch a cold before we can get out."
"But..." Oneida's brows furrowed as if she were about to object.
Jackson anticipated her resistance and cut her off in time, "I won't look."
Having said this, he turned away, gathering some wood that could be used for burning, and then found a dry patch of ground to light a small fire.
Despite appearances that suggested he was pampered and lazy, Jackson's survival skills were remarkably strong.
His hands moved swiftly and adeptly.
After completing these tasks, he lifted his gaze to Oneida and said softly, "Come over."
Oneida instinctively looked at him, the dim light casting shadows across his handsome face.
Oneida thought, 'Knight seems different from the rumors. They say he's cold-blooded and indifferent to women... But Knight not only saved me, he's also taking such care of me!
When Oneida still made no move, Jackson urged her in a stern voice, "I said, I won't look. Just give me your clothes, and I'll help dry them."
Seeing him acting the perfect gentleman made Oneida think, 'If I continue to hesitate, it would seem like I'm unfairly judging his honorable intentions.'
So, Oneida nodded and stepped forward.
At that, Jackson turned around, presenting his back to Oneida.
He truly kept his word and did not look at her.
"Hurry and undress," he prompted.
The man's cool and deep voice floated over hauntingly.
Seeing this, Oneida hesitated no more and promptly removed her coat.
Oneida placed her clothes by the fire, and again, his voice echoed in her ear. "Are you done?"
His voice was like the resonant notes of a cello, magnetic and utterly pleasing to the ear.
For some reason, Oneida suddenly felt her face grow warm.
Oneida responded somewhat flusteredly, "Yes, I'm done, but don't turn around yet... wait until I say it's okay."

"Alright," he replied quite straightforwardly.
True to his word, he was indeed "honorable"
Oneida briskly walked to a corner and crouched down.
From this angle, even if Jackson turned around, he wouldn't see her.
Now, wearing only a thin tank top, Oneida hugged her shoulders feeling insecure, and said, "You can turn now?
Upon hearing her, Jackson turned around.
He knew Oneida must have found a hiding spot.
Such a bashful young girl.
He said nothing. Instead, he crouched down, took Oncida's coat in hand, and began drying it by the fire.
Several minutes passed. The once-drenched fabric was finally beginning to dry,
Throughout this time, there was silence from where Oneida was hidden, and Jackson didn't speak,
The air was filled with a quiet stillness.
Jackson folded the clothes neatly, lifted his gaze toward the corner, and called out lightly, "Your clothes are dry?
But there was no answer from Oneida.
The air remained silent.
A crease formed between Jackson's eyebrows.
He stood up and silently walked toward Oneida's hiding spot.
Around the corner, he found Oneida sitting with her arms wrapped around her knees, her chin resting atop them.
Oneida seemed to have fallen asleep.
Her eyes were closed tight.
Her delicate, smooth skin made her appear fragile and pale.
Jackson watched her, and his Adam's apple unconsciously bobbed.
He approached a bit closer.
It was then he realized Oneida was shivering.
Oneida had fallen asleep, but her arms and shoulders trembled slightly, possibly from the cold.
Jackson spread out the clothing he held, ready to drape it over Oneida.
Unexpectedly, Oneida reflexively grabbed onto Jackson's slender fingers.
Caught off guard, he was pulled forward.
In the next instant, Oneida leaned into him.
Oneida wrapped her arms around Jackson like a small kitten seeking refuge, snuggling into his embrace.
Oneida still kept her eyes closed.
Her whole demeanor was hazy and disoriented,
Oneida was cold.
Deep down, Oneida desired to be near something warm.
Oneida clung to Jackson, wishing Oneida could burrow into his body.

Jackson stood motionless, allowing her to hold onto him.
He could feel her soft skin and her tender form...
He found himself momentarily paralyzed.
After some time, Jackson slowly extended his arms and embraced the girl in front of him.
His fingers touched her skin, eliciting a shuddering sensation in his heart.
His gaze deepened, and his pupils dilated.
It seemed Oneida was dissatisfied and began to unbutton Jackson's shirt while her eyes remained closed.
Startled by her sudden action, Jackson instinctively held down her fidgeting hands,
However, Oneida persisted, muttering as Oneida fumbled with his buttons, "Cold... this is warmer..."
Seeing her undo the top two buttons, Jackson suddenly stopped struggling.
"You..." He sighed with a hint of resignation.
No one had ever dared to treat him like this...
Oneida was the first.
After Oneida loosened just three buttons, the white shirt hung slightly open, revealing Jackson's firmly sculpted chest.
Oneida wasted no time pressing her face and neck against it.
This was the warmth Oneida sought.
This was the comfort Oneida needed.
Jackson tightened his embrace, as if bewitched, and couldn't help holding her closer.
The two were entwined like vines, their closeness undeniable.
In the serene air.
Jackson felt as if he could hear his own heartbeats. A bit faster than usual.
For some reason, holding Oneida like this, he actually felt a sense of tranquil contentment.
He, who typically disliked physical contact, found himself in such an unexpected moment... Time elapsed unknowingly.
Eventually, Oneida slowly opened her eyes.
