The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection -
With Husband 655
Chapter 655
Felix hung up without a word. He wanted nothing more to do with the Greenes.
Though his face remained expressionless, his mind was in a mess. Asher had mentioned that Aiden had reached Innate Realm at just ten years old. After all these years, his power had to be immense. Now that was true genius.
It was no wonder that the Greene family held such a unique position in Dragonia. Aiden alone showed how powerful they were.
Unless he called on Gerald and his fellow apprentice for help, Felix knew he was not ready to challenge the Greenes. He was not even sure he could match Aiden in combat.
With these thoughts weighing on him, Felix drove into Canraville and called Seven. Shortly after he got home, Seven arrived.
"Mr. Zeller, does this fit what you want? We crafted it exactly according to your photo."
Felix had sent Seven a picture of the Dragonspine and asked him to look for people who could produce a replica. It had to be made with bone, and any animal bone would do. "Yeah, it looks exactly the same. Thanks."
After Seven left, Felix brewed a mixture of herbs he had bought, then added a few drops of his blood. He coated the bone with it. Minutes later, something remarkable happened. The mixture seeped into the bone and vanished quickly. Felix picked up the bone with a slight smile. "Hah! Let's see if you can spot the difference."
Aiden had surely never seen a real Dragonspine. With Felix's blood infused into it, the bone now carried a special energy that was very similar to the original. Even Felix would have trouble telling them apart without holding them. When his doorbell rang early the next morning, Asher and Aiden were standing outside. Soon, Felix came out and tossed them the bone "Take it and get lost. I never wanted Victor's stuff anyway. Don't bother me again." Aiden frowned. He carefully examined the bone's energy before his lips curved into a slight smile. "You've made a wise choice."
As Aiden turned to leave, Asher breathed a sigh of relief. Though he felt nothing for Felix, Victor had been his uncle, and Felix was his only remaining blood relative. He couldn't have stood by and watched Felix get hurt. 30 minutes later, Felix prepared to leave for the airport. He had left his Range Rover for Jack since he was planning to buy another car in Gray City. After all, he was not sure how

long he would be staying.
But as he stepped out, he found Sherlyn waiting by his door. She watched him with a smile. Dressed in white today, her fitted white pants showcased her graceful figure perfectly. "What are you doing here?"
Sherlyn gave him a flirtatious look. "Are you going to leave town without saying goodbye? Humph! I even have to come and see you off myself." Standing awkwardly, Felix was unsure what to say.
"Come on! Get in. I'll drive you to the airport."
"Alright, then. Thanks."
During the drive, Sherlyn did most of the talking while Felix responded half-heartedly. He felt guilty about holding back such a wonderful girl.
"If I have time, I'll visit you in Gray City. Don't you dare avoid me, or I'll have my grandfather move there just to annoy you!"
Felix panicked. "No! Mr. Holt Senior shouldn't travel so much. I promise I'll be there whenever you visit Gray City."
"Humph! That's better."
At the airport, Sherlyn called out just as Felix opened the car door, "Felix!"
As he turned, her lips met his in a fleeting kiss. It left a lingering warmth on his lips. "Don't get mad at me. I really do like you. I don't regret giving you my first kiss." Chapter 656
