Though Magnus usually wore a kind expression, he now showed his absolute authority in front of everyone. Others held their breath in fear. Even Jasper trembled, afraid of being implicated.

They were shocked by how defensive Magnus was of Felix. But they were even more curious about what gave Henrik the courage to challenge the respected Supreme Elder. Surely he hadn't lost his mind over his disciple, had he?

To everyone's surprise, Henrik showed no fear. He met Magnus' gaze and said, "What if I choose neither?"

Just as Magnus' brows furrowed, a voice rang out. "Magnus, has all that seclusion made your temper worse?" Another elderly man appeared. Though also white-haired, he appeared much more vigorous than Magnus. "Greetings, Mr. Hartford!" Everyone bowed. From the title, Felix realized who this was. It was another Supreme Elder.

Magnus understood now. "No wonder this little fellow dares challenge me. I assume he has your backing, Sebastian?"

Sebastian Hartford's appearance gave hope to the kneeling and trembling Ethan. This was the one who had cured him of Felix's poison. Even Ethan had not known Henrik was so close to Sebastian. Perhaps he would not have to die after all. "You, Felix..." His mind began scheming again.

"Magnus, that's not true. There's no conflict here. He's just defending his disciple. What's wrong with that? If Medic's Haven can't protect our own, what reason do we have to exist?"

Sebastian pointed at Felix. "I don't care what relationship this guy Felix has with you. Since he tried to poison one of our own, he must pay the price."

Everyone watched in awe as this trivial matter escalated into a confrontation between two Supreme Elders. Though Magnus held the highest position, Sebastian handled most affairs and cultivated many loyal followers. His prestige was second only to Magnus', so he did have the authority to challenge him.

"Felix, excuse me for making you witness such a show. Give me a few more minutes.'

Given the situation, the increasingly impatient Felix could only nod. "Take your time, Mr. Grimwald. I can spare these few minutes."

Magnus turned to Sebastian. "Are you really going to disrespect my decisions?"

Nearby, Henrik smirked coldly. Did Magnus really think he still held absolute power? Those days were long gone. As Sebastian was about to respond humbly, a loud bang echoed. He turned quickly to find Henrik, the man he had been protecting, had exploded into a mist of blood.

"I've killed him, Sebastian. What will you do about it?" Magnus remarked.
