Only young children like Angus survived that accident, for their parents gave them life-saving floats so they could survive.

The Oskians who were running the boat were similar to Janus. They were illegal immigrants who snuck into the country illegally or overstayed their visas. With that, they formed a small community and helped each other. After the children were rescued back to New York, the Oskians gathered for a meeting.

They felt sorry for the children's miserable fate. If no one adopted them, they would either starve to death on the streets or be deported by the United States government, or be sent to orphanages. After a lengthy discussion, the Oskians decided to adopt an orphan each whenever possible.

Angus had turned twenty-two years old this year. He was just ten years old when Janus adopted him and took him to Roast Goose Restaurant.

Janus was an illegal immigrant, so he taught Angus to read while he ran his business. Meanwhile, Angus started to help in the kitchen and did whatever he could for Janus.

When Angus turned adult, he decided to continue working as a staff member in the restaurant.

Angus was very grateful to Janus, and treated Janus like his own father. After all, Janus had raised him all this while.
