The Mafia's Good Girl
The Mafia’s Good Girl – Chapter 40

~ Violet ~

“Wow, this place is amazing!”

Violet stretched her arms out and inhaled the ocean scent in front of her. Just as he promised, today Damon was taking her out to the beach. When he first said ‘beach’, Violet was expecting the nearby boardwalk like Atlantic City or Wildwood. But Damon was a man full of surprises. He wasn’t just taking her to the generic beaches of New Jersey.

Early in the morning today, Violet and Damon jumped into the black SUV and the driver took them to the docks. There were two other cars following them, which Violet assumed were Damon’s bodyguards since he’d never travel anywhere without his men.

After arriving at the docks, they got into this yacht and they sailed for a nearby island on the coast of New Jersey. Violet had lived in the Garden State all her life and she didn’t know this kind of thing existed. There were small islands with private houses, most likely owned by the richest people in the state. After sailing for about twenty minutes, their yacht stopped at one of the islands and Damon told her that they’ve arrived.

“What is this place?” Violet asked as she felt her feet sunk into the white and warm sand below her.

“It’s my private island,” he said simply as if it wasn’t a big deal.

“This whole island is yours?” she gaped.

Damon just shrugged and held out his hand.

“Do you like it?” he asked.

“Do I like it?” she beamed and took his hand. “I’ve never seen the ocean this clear before! Is this still in New Jersey?”

“Technically, yeah,” he laughed.

With their hands clasped together, Damon led her up from the shore and to the front entrance of yet another mansion. The house here had similar architectural features with the house back at the estate, except this one was smaller.

“Wow, you even got a house out here. Do you come here often?” she asked.

“Once every few months or so. Only when I wanna be alone,” he replied.

Violet stifled a laugh and pointed to the twelve men in black suits patrolling the beach. “This is you being alone,” she snorted.

“They’re a necessity, you never know you might need them,”

One of the men then came up to Damon and said, “Boss, everything’s all clear,”

Damon nodded at him and he quickly scurried away.

“See, you’ll be safe with us,” Damon said as he pulled Violet into the house. “Come on,”

Violet was giggling and smiling as she raced up the steps and into the house. Her left hand was carrying her shoes while her right hand was holding onto Damon’s. They had done many things more than holding hands already, but this simple act was enough to get her heart racing and stomach twisting.

Geez girl, pull yourself together!

They arrived at the house and the maids and butlers greeted them. Damon just waved his hand carelessly at them and pulled Violet towards the backyard. The backyard was this open area with an infinity-edge swimming pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Violet couldn’t help but gasp in awe. The waters were so vast and blue and the sunlight was sparkling on the surface. She had never seen anything like this before.

“Not too bad, huh?” Damon said as he looked at Violet’s face, noting the glimmer in her eyes. “I figured we could spend the day out here today,”

“Just today?” she said.

Why not forever?

Damon let out a chuckle and pulled her hand again. “Come on, I’ll show you the best view on the island,” he said.

Violet was led towards the corner of the backyard where there they stood on a cliff overlooking the sea. She smiled brightly as she threw her gaze to the vast blue ocean. The warm summer breeze was hitting her cheeks and her hair was blowing gently in the wind. Damon stood behind her and he put his arms around her waist. Violet’s smile grew wider and she stretched her arms open wide.

“Jack, I’m flying!” she giggled, reenacting that famous scene from the Titanic.

Damon laughed in response and pressed his nose to the crook of her neck. He inhaled her scent before planting a soft k**s on her skin. Violet couldn’t stop the shivers running up and down her spine. If her life was a movie, she’d gladly end it at this scene and called it a happy ending. So many feelings washed over her at this moment and she couldn’t help but wonder if this moment meant anything to him as it did for her.

“Hey, Damon,” she said suddenly.

“Hmm?” he replied, still burying his face into her neck.

“Do you always bring your girls out here?”

Damon pulled away instinctively, clearly taken aback by this question.

“What do you mean my girls?” he scoffed and narrowed his eyes. “You’re the only here,”

“No, I mean your previous girls… girlfriends…” she said, not knowing what the right words were.

“You think I’d do girlfriends?” he said in a mocking tone.

Well, no…

Girlfriend was probably not the right word. Even Talia always referred to Damon’s girls like they were just his employees. Talia told Violet that for the past five years since Isabella’s death, Damon never dated anyone. All these girls were just people that worked for him. Violet was one of those people, except she didn’t feel like it. Sure, in the beginning it felt a lot like it, but lately things were… different.

“You guys cuddled?!” Talia was screaming and her eyes were wide as saucers. “When did this happen?”

Earlier this morning before they left for the beach, Talia caught up with Violet and she heard some shocking news. Violet told Talia that Damon and she cuddled last night and he was taking her to the beach today. After hearing that, Talia looked like she had just been struck by lighting.

“The first time we cuddled was the night before he left on that business trip. Three days later when he came back, we had s*x again and he stayed the night. And it’s been happening night after night until now,” Violet explained.

Violet couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment, but as time went by, things were getting hotter and heavier between her and Damon. And no, it wasn’t just the things inside the secret playroom, it was beyond that.

“So you two cuddled after s*x and now he asked you to go to the beach with him?” Talia asked again.

“Yup,” Violet nodded her head. “Does this mean anything, Tal?”

“I don’t know. With Damon, I could never tell,” she shrugged. “I mean sure, he treats you differently than his other girls before, but I still don’t think you should get your hopes up,”

Violet’s smile turned to a frown when she remembered Talia’s advice. Sure, maybe Damon treated her differently than those other girls, but that didn’t mean he’s in love with her. Love was not in his dictionary. If she wasn’t careful, she’d buy into the wrong idea and it would only end pathetically.

Besides, why would I be so special anyway?

“Maybe ‘girlfriend’ isn’t the right word, I’m talking about those girls that have a contract with you,” Violet said again, pausing for a beat before adding, “Girls like…”

“Girls like what?” Damon asked when she couldn’t finish her sentence.

“Girls like me,”

Violet looked down to her feet as she said it. She didn’t like lumping herself with those other girls, but she was one of them. She had the contract, the collar, and everything. At the end of the day, she was just one of his employees.

Damon let out a sigh and turned her body fully to him. Tilting her face up, he locked her eyes with his and said, “You don’t know this, do you?”

“What?” she asked.

“I don’t have any other girls that are like you,”

Violet’s heart stopped beating for a good five seconds. She was caught off guard and all she could do was stare at him like he was a sight to marvel at.

“And the answer’s no,” he said again, shaking his head. “I don’t take them anywhere out of the estate. You’re the only girl I ever brought here,”

Violet kept her eyes on his and she saw something in his dark hooded eyes that she had never seen before. Maybe it was honesty, or maybe sincerity?

“Why’d you take me here, then?” she asked.

“You said you were bored at the estate,” he shrugged nonchalantly.

Right. So he’s doing this for… me?

Violet’s brain went into overdrive as she began analyzing the situation. There were times when she told Talia about the things that Damon did to her or Talia would tell her things about Adrian and they would analyze them like girls in high school talking about their boyfriends. And this right here, what he just said to her, was a moment worthy to be analyzed.

He was the one who said he doesn’t cuddle but we did that several times already. Did he do that on purpose or was he just too tired to get up and leave? And if I was just another one of his employees, why would he care if I was bored or not? Does that mean… he likes me?

Violet’s heart was beating faster and faster at the thought that Damon might be into her. She kept staring at his face for an answer, but his expression remained cold and stoic. Violet didn’t know what to make of it.

Oh, stop reading into these signs, Violet! This is Damon Van Zandt we’re talking about. It’s not gonna end well for you!

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Damon said finally, his head was cócked to the side and his eyebrows were narrowed at her.

Violet couldn’t muster up an answer. The wheels in her heart and her mind were spinning into overdrive. She knew it was useless trying to figure him out, he was too unreadable. But even though she couldn’t tell if he likes her or not, she could tell what she was feeling for him. So before she could stop herself, her hands reached for his face and she closed her eyes, leaning into his body.

Oh, Jack. I think I’m… falling.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” he asked.

He was staring at her face for the longest time and he couldn’t decipher her expression. Her eyes softened as she gazed at him and it was making his chest doing all kinds of somersaults.

Violet didn’t answer him right away. Damon thought she’d just shake her head and turn away, but instead, she reached for his face and pulled him down. Their lips crashed into each other like the waves to the shore. Damon let out a g***n as he wrapped her body in his arms, deepening the k**s.

Oh, fúck. I’ve been waiting for this all day.

As he kissed and tasted her lips, Damon’s entire body was lit up in fire. He lifted her legs and linked them over his waist so that she was straddling him. Still refusing to break off the k**s, he then carried her down the rocky stairs until they reached the sandy beach. He spotted a cozy spot by the big rocks and he laid her body there, basking under the warm afternoon sun.

Violet let out a sigh as her back hit the warm rocks. Her legs were still locked around his waist, pulling him close. Damon let out another g***n as his member was rubbing against her. He didn’t like the fabric separating their skins, so he ripped her dress open and pulled down his slacks.

Damon kept his gaze on her as he slowly eased his length into her throbbing core. Hot m***s escaped her lips and Damon caught them with his k**s. The waves were roaring behind them as Damon picked up the pace of his thrusts. Before long, Violet reached her climax as she screamed his name into the air. He continued pounding into her as her walls clenched around him tightly. She felt so tight and warm around his skin, Damon could lose himself at any moment.

This right here is pure heaven.

Damon let out a growl and steadied his breathing. He didn’t want to cúm so fast, he wanted to savor this moment, so he pulled out of her and leaned his face down to her core. He captured her clit with his tongue and it skillfully danced and kissed along her core.

He licked and lapped her sweet juices and he cursed at the fact that he couldn’t have her for more than three days from now. Yes, as he was doing all these things to her, he was fully aware that their time together was coming to an end. His chest twisted at the thought of not being able to k**s her like this, so he only kissed her deeper and plunged his fingers into her, making sure that his skin would forever remember this feeling.

Three days of pure heaven left. I better not waste it.
