“I can understand you well, Lucas. But

IF I CAN NOT STAY ALIVE THEN WHAT WILL I DO AFTER HEARING HIS SIDE?”

Beta Lucas was silent. He wanted his best friend to be happy with his fated mate. But fate played both of them.

“What did he say to you?” He asked.

“He told me that he gave me one week.”

“What will you do in one week?”

“I don’t know. Maybe trying to break the spell which was bound in Aunt Daisy’s mind? I am trying to do this with the Royal Witch Melissa. I just hope it will be successful otherwise-“

“Otherwise?”

“I don’t think this time anyone can help me. He said he will make my life hell.”

Alina opened the door and got out of the car. She went directly to her room. She knew she could not do anything in just one week but still, she wanted to try his luck.

She spent all the day in her room. When she got out of her room, it was night time. Maids always took her food to her room when they saw Alina was not at the table. So she ate her food timely.

Alina went to the living room and saw there was no one.

‘Where is everyone?’ She thought. She looked at the maid who was working there.

“Where is everyone?”

The maid replied, “Everyone was here half an hour ago when the King was leaving. After that, they went back to their rooms.”

Alina was thinking about Aaron. ‘Has he left? But he didn’t say anything today in the forest.’

Alina shook her head. Why would she think about him? It was good that he left from this pack otherwise she had to take a breath in fear.

Meanwhile in Lycan Territory,

Aaron looked at Beta Lucas angrily. They both were in the forest. They came back to their kingdom and Aaron told him that he needed to talk with him.

They came out for a run. But looking at Aaron, Lucas understood Aaron was not in the mood to run but fight.

“Aaron, listen to me-“

Aaron did not give him time to talk. He grabbed his neck and pushed him into a tree.

“How dare you help her to run away from my Territory? How??”

Beta Lucas shook his head. “He is innocent, Aaron.”

“I know you will say that. You hated my dad so you don’t care if he died or was alive right? You were happy that he died so you let her go from here.”

That was the main thing Lucas was afraid of. He did not want Aaron to think like this. He knew Aaron would think this.

“I was not happy when your dad died.”

Aaron’s grip tightened. Beta Lucas tried to move his hand but could not move him. His strength was not matching with Aaron’s strength.

“Don’t lie to me. Tell me why did you take that murderer’s side rather than mine. Three months and two weeks. In these times, you kept it inside you and lied to me all the time. I trusted you the most and you are the one who broke my trust.”

Beta Lucas shook his head. He was feeling pain. Not in his neck but in his heart. Only he knew what was in his heart. He loved his best friend and wanted him to live his life happily. He was the one who observed him and told him not to push Alina from him.

From the start, he was the only one who supported him blindly. But today Aaron did not understand him. Aaron was talking like he was a traitor in his life.

When Aaron saw Lucas was silent. He got mad.

“Why aren’t you speaking best friend? Why did you help her? Did she try to seduce you as well? She is a shameless woman anyway.”

“AARON!”

Beta Lucas got angry this time. He pushed Aaron hard with all his strength.

Aaron stepped aback by his push. He smirked.

“Why? The truth is bitter right? Otherwise, why didn’t you call me when you saw her yesterday? You know that I was going there, right? Then why didn’t you tell me she was there?”

Beta Lucas did not know how to explain to him.

“Aaron, just calm down and listen. She is not the one who killed your fathe-“

“SHUT UP.” Aaron yelled at him. His eyes turned red.

“You are not my best friend anymore. You are a betrayer. You betrayed me, Lucas.”

“No, I agree that I helped her. But I didn’t betray you, Aaron.”

“You are just like her. She broke my trust. For the first time I fell for someone and she broke my heart. She shattered my life. She killed my father because she is a greedy woman, Lucas.”

“No, Aaron, please listen to me. She is not greedy. She is a good woman.” Beta Lucas said and held his shoulders.

Aaron pushed him. “Don’t talk to me. You broke our friendship for that woman who just came into our lives for one month.”

Lucas was tired, making Aaron understand that Alina did not do anything. He had no proof to tell Aaron about Crystal.

Crystal behaved so well with everyone in these months that Aaron would not believe him but her.

Because he was the one who helped Alina run away. Aaron would think that he was making excuses to save Alina.

Aaron wanted to shift and bit his best friend who broke his trust which needed to build for years.

“You helped her to rescue me, right? You even lied to me for her. You made a master plan and set fire by yourself. I trusted you blindly and did not even doubt you for a second. Nice, Lucas. Very Nice. You did really well. Didn’t you see that greedy woman? Her eyes now fall on another throne. She wants to be a Luna now. She has fixed another target. I will never let her wish come true. I promise you.”

Lucas sighed and replied,

“Don’t make it too hard for her, Aaron.

IF ONE DAY SHE CAN PROVE HERSELF INNOCENT, IT WILL BE TOO LATE FOR YOU TO ASK HER FORGIVENESS.”
