“BE MY LUNA.”

Alina was shocked. “Wh-What are you saying?”

“I am saying what you just heard. Be my Luna.”

Alina thought this man in front of her was kidding with her. So she glanced at Beta Max. But his reaction was so calm as if he knew about it.

“I can’t understand.” Alina said.

Alpha Rick was quiet for some time and then replied,

“My parents want me to take a Luna in a week. They told me about it two years ago but I didn’t give them any value because I did not want to be the head Alpha. But since now I am the head Alpha, I need a Luna. If I can’t take any by my choice, they would force me to marry with just any girl they like.”

Alina understood what he tried to say. She knew about him that he did not want to take over his father’s throne, so his father forced him to become the head Alpha.

Now the Alpha needed a Luna.

“But why me?”

“Don’t worry, I don’t like you and I think you don’t like me either. So it will be easy for me.” Alpha Rick said and smirked at her.

Alina frowned at him. ‘Did he just mean he can go around with girls without any worry because I don’t like him?’

But then she felt relaxed that she also did not like him. She had someone in her heart who was her mate. If anyone asked her if she loved Aaron two weeks ago, she would answer yes immediately but now the situation had changed. She knew that he was not trustworthy. She loved him and he showed how little he trusted her.

Alina knew he had to choose between his mother and her. But how could he even think that she could kill anyone? And not even that he gave her the punishment of death. Fortunately, Beta Lucas saved her life otherwise she would be dead now.

“What are you thinking? Answer first.” Alpha Rick asked.

“It is not that easy, okay? I need some time to think about it.” Alina replied.

“Okay, I get it. Beta Max, go and throw him to the Black Moon Pac-“

“No no. I am not thinking. I am just taking time to get prepared. Why are you doing this with me? I am sick can’t you see? And you yourself told me a few minutes ago that you will give me time to think.”

Alpha Rick smiled at him sarcastically. “Of course you have. You have three months to get prepared. Marriage is not a game but a royal matter.”

Alina almost rolled her eyes. “You are telling me that? You?” She pointed her finger at him.

“See? She is not perfect for that. I made a bad choice for the first time.” Alpha Rick said to Beta Max. He was about to stand up but Alina held his hand.

“Please don’t get angry. I forgot my position. I have no way now except you.”

Alpha Rick did not stand and stared at her.

“Why did you run away from him?”

Alina looked away and shook her head. “I can’t tell you.”

“Did he hurt you?”

Alina felt tears scrambling in the corner of her eyes.

She controlled her tears and shook her head.

“No, maybe I hurt him. That’s why he made the most terrible decision of my life.” Alina smiled sadly.

Alpha Rick did not know what had happened to her. When he heard King Aaron was going to marry his mate who was an Omega, he understood it was Alice. Because he observed King Aaron, how he stopped them on the dance floor and danced with Alina, how close they were together and how possessively she behaved for her. He noticed everything.

Alina wanted to know many things. She thought he was the Alpha King and a true b***d Alpha. This pack and King Aaron’s pack had an alliance so Alpha Rick might know many things about that pack.

The first thing that came to her mind was Beta Lucas.

“Can I ask you something?”

Alpha Rick nodded to her. Beta Max was there but thought he should give some privacy to this future royal couple. So he told Alpha Rick that he had some work. Then he left the cabin.

“I want to ask about my pack. Do you know anything about it?”

“I heard two weeks ago that King Atlas had died. I prepared everything to go to your pack and attended his funeral. But we heard King Aaron tell everyone not to come to his father’s funeral. He wanted that in a very low, crowded, and family way. So no one went there.

About the marriage. I got the invitation too. But I thought not to go there.”

“Why?”

“Because I don’t like marriages and attending one is the most boring thing.”

“I see.” Alina replied.

Alina felt that Alpha Rick was a playboy as Aaron told her before. But it was not bad for her that he was a playboy. She would not expect love from him, so it was better if he had another girl in his life.

She was very clear that she could not give her heart to another man again.

But being a Luna was not easy. The man in front of him was a True B***d Alpha. Alina was lucky that she was about to become a Queen of Lycans so she knew all the techniques and skills of fighting. Now it would help her here.

“Did you do something illegal?” Alpha Rick asked her.

Alina could see his suspicious eyes.

She shook her head. “Believe me, I didn’t do anything.”

“Did he punish you for something? When you came here your full body was wounded. I thought you were some criminal who came out of the dungeon. Or a sinner who ran away from her death.”

Alina felt her heart beat fast when she heard about the death. “N-No.”

“Are you lying to me?”

Alina shook her head. She could not tell him that she was framed by her best friend. She could not tell him that she was the one who got the blame for killing the former Lycan King.

He would not believe her. She would tell him for sure but not now. If she told him everything, he would throw her away from his pack or help King Aaron to find her.

“I am not lying. I am innocent.”

“Okay then. I am not asking you for anything. But you have to tell me about yourself before you become the Luna of this pack. I want to know why you came here to my territory like that.” He said and looked at her bandaged legs.

Alina nodded to him. “Can you tell me about other things in my pack?”

“Do you think I am your spy? Why are you questioning so much?” He asked angrily.

Alina looked down. He was right. How could she ask him anything?

“I am so sorry Alpha.”

Alpha Rick closed his eyes and sighed. He did not like when people ask him too many questions.

He sighed and replied, “It’s okay. I will tell my Theta to tell you what you want to know.”

Alina looked up and her eyes delighted. “Thanks a lot, Alpha.”

Alpha Rick frowned at her. ‘Why does she behave cute suddenly?’

He nodded at her. He saw Alina looking at her legs.

“I asked doctor Liam about your legs. He said it is not like your legs are broken. It’s just a wound on your legs and you are an Omega so you need time to heal. I think every wound has healed already.”

Alina nodded to him. “I think so. I am feeling pain.”

He will give you medicines to lessen your pain.”

Alina stared at the man. She had talked with the man only twice. But she always thought he was a problematic person. But today he was giving her the option to set up her life again. She wanted to go back to abroad and live her life like before.

But she would not go back. Because here people in her pack knew her as a killer. Not everyone but her own people whom she knew. She did not want to blame Aunt Daisy because she was innocent. She cared for her a lot all the time. She fell into the trap of Crystal.

Alina was only angry with Aaron. She still could not believe that he wanted her to die.

Alpha Rick stood up. Alina looked up at him.

“Are you going?”

“Yeah. I have some work out of the pack. I will come tomorrow.”

Alina nodded at him. He was the only man she knew in this pack. So she wanted to know if he was leaving. This pack was his pack. If he gave her safety, no one could do anything to her.

She heard Alpha Rick.

“Get Well Soon. I Will Take You To Meet My Parents The Day After Tomorrow.”
