“I wore this dress today because I want people to know who will be their future Queen. “

Alina was stunned. “But Crystal, what if the king will have a mate?”

“Then I will kill her and make him mine.” Crystal turned her head to Alina and replied.

Alina’s eyes widened.

“Pttfff!” Crystal could not help but laugh at Alina’s expression.

“Dumbo. Don’t worry, he doesn’t have any mate. We all know that King Aaron is mateless.” Crystal said proudly.

Alina looked away from her. How could she explain to her best friend when the time would come. What if Crystal would break the friendship with her, she could not live without her. Alina adored her. Only Crystal was the one who always supported her in her life.

They went outside and saw Atlas and Daisy were sitting in a car. Two guards came to Alina and Crystal then said,

“You two will go in this car, let’s go.”

Alina and Crystal nodded and got in the car.

They sat in the back seat while one guard sat in front of them in the passenger seat beside the driver.

The car started and the refreshed air came to Alina when she opened the window.

“Alina, nowadays I can’t give you time. Are you angry with me?” Crystal asked.

Alina turned to her and shook her head.

“No, I am spending most of the time in the training hall then trying to help Aunt Daisy in her work. So I am not feeling lonely. And you are doing your work. It’s your need that you need to own your powers. So I am not angry with you, Crystal.”

Crystal nodded at her.

Alina thought Crystal was really busy with her new experiences. She was changing. Her talking, gestures and behavior were changing daily.

“You are really looking pretty. Your beauty is blooming Crystal.” Alina praised her.

“It’s all because of my Aunt. You can’t believe she is fifty five but if you see her, you will think she is in her late twenties. She is a very high ranked witch. She’s preparing me for everything. She told me I am getting powerful like her.”

Alina was pleased to hear that. She did not know much about Witches. But when she was young, she heard that werewolves did not like witches because of their black magic. The witch who did black magic was yang witch. People called them Evil witches.

Alina knew her best friend for so many years. She was not an evil witch. She was a good person.

When the car stopped, Alina saw many people were going ahead and they wore the same types of clothes like her.

Alina was happy about that. She bought this cloth from a pack fighter. When she was doing her practice in the training hall, one of the pack fighters was talking about how his sister was excited about the village fair and how she told him to buy a dress for her.

Alina requested the pack fighter to buy a dress for her too. The pack fighter agreed and bought one for her, Alina gave him money in return. That pack fighter did not want to take the money from her but she convinced him to take it.

Alina and Crystal got down from the car. They saw a gathering.

Atlas and Daisy’s car was behind their car. So after them Atlas and Daisy got down from their car.

They went to the side where the village fair started.

Alina looked everywhere and saw many people were buying so many things. There were many stalls and some sellers sat on the ground in the side road with their things. People were buying goods from them too.

It was almost midnight but people were just coming there to enjoy the fair.

“At midnight people will fly sky lanterns and make wishes for them. It’s a ritual here.” Crystal said.

Alina nodded. She knew about it. Daisy told him that there was a big lake where people flew lanterns and made wishes for themselves. Daisy told her not to miss it.

“Girls, stick with each other. The crowd will grow some time later. So don’t be lost away.”

Alina and Crystal nodded to Daisy.

People were looking at her and Atlas. They were the former King and Queen.

They were in royal clothes so it was easy for them to grab their attention.

Some people noticed Crystal who was walking in front of the former King and Queen.

Alina heard some whispered while walking, “Look, isn’t she the Royal Witch Chloe’s daughter?”

“Yes.”

“She wore a dress like a Queen. Will she be our future Queen?”

“Maybe. Can’t you see the former King and Queen are here with her? She will be our Queen.”

Alina paused for a moment and turned to Crystal.

Crystal smiled hearing all the whispers. It was her actual plan. She wanted to spread the rumors in the whole pack that she would become the Queen.

Alina thought Crystal had changed a lot. Why did she not talk about her feelings to Aaron directly then she would get a clear answer from him. Why was she doing all of these things as if she only wanted to become the pack’s Luna and this kingdom’s Queen. How could she be so sure that King Aaron would make her his Queen?

“Why did you stop?” A guard asked.

Alina shook her head and began to walk ahead.

The former Queen told them to enjoy the fair but carefully because she did not want them to separate from her. Alina and Crystal agreed.

After an hour, it was finally midnight. Daisy was right when she told them the crowd would grow more.

The whole village fair was now a crowded market.

Alina could see a few lanterns in the sky. That meant people started to fly those. She also wanted to do that and made a wish.

Crystal wanted to buy a sky lantern from a stall beside them. So Atlas told them to stop and bought some for themselves.

Daisy and Crystal walked to the stall.

Alina was also about to go to the stall but her phone rang. It was on vibrate mode so she could feel that.

She stopped walking. She looked at phone’s screen and saw the caller’s name.

‘MATE’

Alina’s heartbeat started to race like a panther. She grabbed her phone tight. She did not waste her time to look up and see where everyone was going. She thought Aaron needed something because he told her he was going to a war.

She received the call and tried to hear him.

But because of the crowd she could not hear him. She looked at where Atlas was standing. She saw Atlas was outside a stall and Daisy was inside the stall with Crystal.

Alina went to another side where there was less crowd and said,

“Hello?”

She did not hear anything again. She thought it was because of the crowd. But Aaron replied,

“Where Are You?”
