Aaron glared at her. “Stop talking like that.”

Alina chuckled. “Why? Did I say anything wrong, my king?”

Aaron looked away from her. It was his drawback. She had the right to mock him.

Aaron nodded his head. “Get ready and come out for breakfast.” Aaron stood up and walked to the door.

“Come out for breakfast?” Alina asked him.

Aaron turned to her. “Your left hand is wounded. So you can still eat with your right hand.”

Alina shook her head. “How can a slave come and sit at the same table with royals? What are you saying, my king?”

Aaron closed his eyes and exhaled. When he opened his eyes they were cold. Alina felt afraid that he was offended by her.

“Take a rest. I will send a maid for you. Get ready with her help and come out of the residence. I will wait for you outside.” Aaron said and left the room.

Alina looked at the door for a long time. She bit her l*p while thinking about what would happen.

She did not know if Aaron would behave well with her because she saved Selena or if he really got to know the whole truth.

She could not remember many things. She only memorized that she tried to save Selena and got stabbed by Crystal. Then Aaron came and stopped Crystal from stabbing her a second time.

Alina fell asleep thinking about all the things. Her sleep got disturbed when she heard a knock on the door.

She turned her head to the door and saw that the door was not locked. “Come in.” She said.

A maid came. It was the maid who did not like her at all but stopped taunting her after seeing Aaron’s mark.

“King told me to help you to get ready.”

Alina hissed. ‘Why did he send this maid?’ She cursed Aaron.

Alina slowly sat up without the maid’s help. She stood up and went to the bathroom to take a shower but the maid stopped her.

“You can not take a shower.”

“Why?”

“The doctor said you can not take a shower until the bandage is opened.”

“Okay, I get it.” Alina said and went to the bathroom. She wiped her body with a soaked cloth. She freshened up.

When she came out of her room she saw the maid was touching a vase.

“What are you doing?” Alina asked.

“None of your business.”

“Excuse me?”

“You are just a slave and getting too much advantage. Why are you the only one who is getting the advantage of warming the King’s bed? I bet you are very skillful in bed. Otherwise, why would the king mark you?”

“Are you new here?”

“Why?”

Alina shook her head. She understood that she might be new and had a crush on the king otherwise why would she feel jealous of her?

Alina looked at the bed. A dress was lying on the bed. She was stunned when she saw it was a normal and decent dress, not the dress she wore all this time. She had to wear a white one piece like a criminal all the time.

“Wear this and come out.” The maid said, kind of ordering her. Then the maid got out of the room.

Alina knew she was no help. She was about to wear the dress when another knock was heard by her.

Shaline opened the door and entered the room.

“Shaline.” Alina said. A smile came to her face.

Shaline was the only maid she could trust right now.

“I came to help you. I know you need help. That maid just left the room so I thought if you are ready it is not.”

“Aren’t you his chief royal maid? Why didn’t you come but she came?” Alina said but gasped when she realized what she just said. She was not a Queen but a slave. How could she accept a chief maid who served only the king?

Looking at Alina’s reaction, Shaline grinned. “Don’t worry. He could not find me so he told that maid because she was the one who was assisting you when I was not here.”

Alina rolled her eyes. “Assisting? She only knew how to mock me.”

“Should I scold her?”

“No, no need for that.”

Shaline helped Alina to wear the dress. Alina asked her how Selena and Silvia were.

“Miss Selena is still in bed. The pack doctor said she is traumatized. But she woke up early in the morning. King Aaron told her to come to the living launch.

About Silvia, she is okay but she could not remember what happened to her.”

Alina nodded. She got what happened to Silvia. The spell broke in the middle of the time and Silvia already saw her with Crystal so Crystal’s plan did not work. When she stopped and both of the girls fainted, their spell bound minds broke their strength and left their sanity.

Alina wore the dress. It was a purple color gown. She has never worn this type of dress. It was not heavy but a royal dress. She did not know why she was wearing it but she was just doing what she was told.

When she went to the living room, she saw everyone in the living room.

Selena was looking so shocked when she saw Alina. She ran to Alina and hugged her. Alina was surprised with her behavior and felt a little pain in her arm. But she patted Selena’s back with other hand.

“You saved my life. I don’t know how I can thank you, Alina.” Selena said and cried aloud.

“It’s okay. Don’t cry.”

“No, Alina. I mistook you as an evil woman. I did not believe you but that evil witch. You told me to run away but I did not listen to you. You helped me so much. I owe it to you. You are my life saver.”

Alina shook her head. “No, I did not do anything. You have to live and handle this realm. How can I let something happen to our future Queen.”

Selena moved away and said,

“You did not kill our late king but it was that woman.”

Alina’s eyes widened. She did not know that others got to know about the truth finally.

Selena’s parents joined hands and thanked Alina.

“We don’t know who you are. But we can only thank you although we know it’s nothing in front of what you did for our daughter. You took her stab in yourself. Who does that? No one.” Selena’s father said.

“May the Lord grant all of your wishes.” Selena’s mother stroked her head.

Alina smiled at her sadly. Her wish could never come true.

“Done?”

They heard the voice which shook everyone.

Alina did not look at Aaron. Her eyes fell on Silvia. She saw Silvia looking down without saying anything.

Alina made her way to her. “Are you okay?”

Silvia looked up at Alina. “I can not remember anything, Alina. Am I okay?” She asked.

Beta Lucas was standing beside his mate. His hand was bandaged and his mate asked her a lot of the time what happened to him and her.

“You are totally okay. It was just an illusion, nothing else.” Alina said.

She smiled at all the officials and all of them returned the smile.

Alina stepped to Aaron and stopped a little far from Aaron.

She did not know if Aaron asked her to come here to go for breakfast or if there was something else that he got offended by.

She wondered if Aaron still believe that she was his father’s murderer.

Aaron looked at her. Alina looked into his eyes. She could see his eyes were cold.

She felt that he did not change his mind. He was still angry at her for killing his father.

Aaron strolled to her. Alina wanted to take a step back but she did not do that.

She was afraid that Aaron would scold her for something again.

Aaron came close to her and did not stop. He lifted his hand and Alina thought he would hit her. So she closed her eyes tightly.

She did not feel any hit but felt a hand on the back of her neck.

She opened her eyes and looked at him. He was looking at her too.

There was silence in the whole living room. Alina could not understand what Aaron was doing.

She wanted to ask him what he was trying to do in front of everyone because they were very close right now.

But before she could say anything, she felt him opening the choker or she could say the neck lock which was stated that she was a slave.

She felt her heart skip when he put off the choker.

“From today she is not a slave anymore.”

Alina was shocked. Aaron moved beside her and looked at everyone. He declared that loudly. His declaration would be law and would spread everywhere.

“FROM TODAY SHE IS NOT A SLAVE ANYMORE. I AM DECLARING HER TO BE FREE AND INNOCENT.”
