Daisy looked at Aaron angrily and asked,

“How can she still be alive, Aaron?”

Aaron looked at everyone when he saw everyone was there and nodded his head.

“She escaped, mom.”

Daisy got mad at Alina. “I can not believe this woman escaped from your dungeon alone without any support. Who helped her? Who cheated on his King?”

Beta Lucas looked down at the floor. He did not want to face Queen mother Daisy. She lost her mate, her husband, and he could understand her pain.

Aaron did not say who did that and he did not even look at Beta Lucas. He knew others would follow his eyes and get who helped Alina.

Alina was silent like a mannequin. She knew she lost the battle. In front of her, the real culprit was standing proudly.

She heard Crystal’s voice.

“My King, why did you take this killer here?”

Now she looked up and looked at Crystal. Anger was visible in Alina’s eyes.

Crystal frowned at her. “What? Why are you looking at me like that?”

The more Alina looked at her acting the more she was getting furious.

Alina stood up slowly and stepped to Aaron.

“I-I am telling you again. I did not kill King Atlas. I am not that one.”

Daisy ran to her and slapped her again. This was another day she slapped her.

“I saw you with my own eyes. Who are you lying to?”

Alina controlled her tears and looked at Daisy. She had seen Daisy’s situation when she saw her mate was getting killed. Alina felt sad for Daisy.

“M-Mom.”

Daisy’s eyebrows wrinkled. “You lost this right when you killed my husband because of this Queen position.”

Alina shook her head and held Daisy’s hands. “Believe me, mom. I didn’t do it. It is not me but-“

Alina stopped and glared at Crystal. Crystal felt nervous when Alina glared at her.

“But Crystal, Mom. She killed King Atlas. She did black magic on you-“

“WHAT???” Crystal exclaimed.

Everyone now looked at Crystal. Every official knew about Crystal. But they were afraid Aaron would not believe it.

“Alina, how dare you!!! How can you blame me? You killed Uncle Atlas and Aunt Daisy watched it with her own eyes. Black magic? Do you even know what you are saying? I am not an evil witch. I am a royal witch. How can a royal witch do something evil like that?”

Alina knew Crystal’s acting now. She did acting all of her life with Alina.

Alina held Aaron’s arms. “Please listen to me once. She did all of this.”

Crystal protested, “No my king. How can I do that? I was outside of the house that day. One of your officials called me that day to come back, remember? I have no idea why she is saying this nonsense.”

“Don’t lie, Crystal told me all the truth when I was locked up in the dungeon.”

“Are you serious, Alina? You are the one who wanted my help. I refused to help you so now you are blaming me for your crime. Now that’s your plan. Nice. And why are you lying that I went there to meet you? When did I meet you?” Crystal asked.

Aaron glared at Crystal, “Did you go to the dungeon without my permission?”

Crystal raised her eyebrows. “My king, you still believe her? After all, she did our family? Uncle Atlas was like a father figure to me. Do you think I can do that?”

Aaron looked at Delta Darren. He immediately nodded and called the guard who was guarding the dungeon at that time.

The man came and Alina recognized him. “Yes, he is the one. He came with her into the dungeon. Crystal even talked to me for hours that day. He did not tell her to go out.”

Aaron asked the guard, “Did you let Crystal enter the dungeon?”

The guard shook his head normally. “No, My king. You said no one is allowed there, so I did not allow anyone in the dungeon. The whole dungeon was guarded by me. No one came to visit any of the criminals.”

Alina’s jaw dropped. The guard was talking so normally as if he lied every day. He did not even care that he was lying in front of the King.

She went to the guard and grabbed his collar. “Why are you lying? I knew it. You are also a setup. Crystal set you up right?”

Aaron angrily grabbed her arm and pulled her from the guard’s side.

Daisy shook her head. Her son was still trying to get one proof for Alina. Her son still loved this girl.

“Aaron, my child. Are you still trusting her?”

“No mom, it’s not like that.”

“Listen, son. I know Crystal. She liked your father a lot, she respected him. She can not do any black magic. Her mother was a royal witch of our pack and she helped your father a lot whenever he needed any help from her.”

Crystal was shocked when heard Daisy was praising her and her mom. But she was smirking inside her mind.

‘This foolish woman thought that I really respected her husband? Good for me.’

Crystal spoke out, “My king, if I was the killer then why would I tell Alina the truth? I know she can tell everything to everyone then why would I do that?”

Alina lost all of her hope. She tried to tell everyone the truth but she was lost in front of the evil woman again.

Everyone was looking at Aaron from a different perspective.

All of them wanted to know what King Aaron would do with Alina.

Aaron looked calm again. No one could read his mind, though they tried to understand.

Aaron looked at his mother and spoke,

“From today, Alina Brown will live with me in my residence.”

Alina thought Aaron believed her words. She felt relieved. In her heart, she wanted to hug her mate and thank him to show his trust in her.

But little did she know his second sentence would break her heart once again.

“I am declaring her as my Slave. She will live like you all but the choker of slavery will always be in her neck.”
