Chapter 63 - Lord Marduke

* The Castle at Drakor; The Capital the Chromos * Lord Marduke POV

I'm fucking the hell out of this little redhead claiming her as mine when the doors to the bedroom fly open and a man walks in with an enraged look on his face. I instantly shift into my dragon form and turn to the intruder and shriek as loud as I can to let him know to back off now.

"Cyprian!" The girl below me yells! So, this is him, my rival, in the flesh.

When she screams he shifts into his dragon form. We are about the size so we are evenly matched. The girl tries to cover herself with a sheet and then get off the bed but I use my tail to pin her back down. The other dragon is slowly coming my way and I'm not sure if I can beat him in battle as my flames will not work on another dragon. I can tell he's holding back as long as I'm this close to the girl. He keeps pacing in front of me blocking my exit through the window and I know I won't make it far if I try to go out the main door.

However, on the main floor is the grand staircase that leads to the upper floors. It's six stairs and then a small landing and then another six stairs and a large landing where the stairs split and are then hidden from view. At the large landing is a large oval shaped window with stained glass almost as large as the landing and reaching several stories high. If I can make it that far I can bust out that window using my shoulder and the top of my head then fly away.

I'm going for it! I grab the girl and take flight. The other dragon seems to know what my plan is and starts screeching to warn his other family members while he flys after me. I make it to the landing and I see the other dragon brothers with their swords drawn. I break through the stained glass panels and I'm free from the castle as I feel a sword cut deep into the fleshy part of my tail.

I heard several more screeches coming from behind me letting me know the dragon brothers were in pursuit. I wonder if King Drakon and any of his minions are following. I'm flying too fast plus holding onto the girl to count how many different screeches were behind me. I'm flying towards the coast where I know a nest of caves and some rebel dragons that have deflected from King Drakon's kingdom are. The caves will help hide me and the rebel dragons will help fight for

me.

I continue to fly sharply dipping down low and then sharply turning upwards. I take curves at the last second dangerously close to the tree lines all the while holding on to my girl with her little toes dangling in the air completely naked. I felt bad for her as this can't be a fun way for a human to travel but since she isn't my fated mate until I have created that bond with her she can not ride on top of me.

I slow down as I make it to the caves and drop my girl gently on the floor.

"Marduke, who is this and who is chasing you?" Kur, one of the rebel dragons asked me.

"This is my chosen mate. Give her to one of the women so they can clothe her and have a warrior hide her back inside the labyrinth. The Dragon Brothers from Chromos are chasing me and possibly King Drakon." I told him. He nodded in reply while he grabbed my girl and shoved her to one of the women and told Python to guard her inside the labyrinth.

Then I turned back to wait for the dragon brothers to land as all of the rebel dragons took out their swords ready to fight alongside me. I shifted back to my human side and picked up a sword to defend myself with. The dragon brothers and King Drakon landed on the beach below us. One of them was carrying a pouch with pants and their swords so when they shifted back to humans they could defend themselves as well. We took advantage of their momentary delay and started to fire arrows at them but an angel had flown with them and put up a shield that stopped our arrows from getting through.

The brothers and King Drakon quickly climbed to the top of the stairs but as soon as they took the offensive the angel's protective shield would no longer work. I knew this was going to be a fight to the death. I was prepared for it though. There was no way I was going to let go of my sweet girl.

Cyprian POV

If this fire breathing dingleberry thinks he can run away with my Molle then he's got another thing coming because I just ripped the heart out of a demon possessed king for her a few days ago. I jump into the caves and run my sword into the first person I see then throw their body on the beach below us. One by one my brothers, King Drakon, and I clash swords with the rebels a few times and then we sink our swords into their bodies before we knock them onto the beaches below us. It's a bloody and brutal battle as sometimes we slash off limbs or heads and watch them fall to the ground but something favours us today and the enemy line is quickly decreasing. I hear Quentin cry out that he's been stabbed and then Lucian yells out in revenge for Quentin. I only hope Quentin can make it long enough for Gabe to heal him. We make it through the rebel dragons and look around for Marduke but I don't see him. I ran to the other side of the cave to check on Quentin.

"Lucian, is Quentin okay?" I ask, visibly worried about my brother.

"Yeah, he got a pretty good wound to the stomach but Gabe got here in time. He was fighting three dragons at once. I told him he's forgiven this time." Lucian said laughing.

"Fuck, you know if we let anything happen to the little shit mom will haunt us until the end of our days!" I crack a smile too and then we run off towards the back of the caves where we find an entire labyrinth of halls leading to other caves. How am I going to find Molle like this?

"Cyprian! Cyprian!" I could hear her calling for me. So we started running in that direction.

If these halls weren't so tiny I would fly through them but they are so I'll have to settle for running. "Molle! I'm coming for you. Where are you?"

That's when I heard her loudest scream. "NOOO000000!" I didn't think I could run faster but I somehow found strength as my body propelled me onward. Then as I took a turn down one of the many tunnels I saw her shadow first and then her wild, curly, red hair as her tiny feet ran towards me. She was wearing an oversized nightgown that she had to hold up above her ankles so that she didn't trip on the edges.

I scooped her up in my arms and I almost started crying right then but instead I handed her to King Drakon. "Please get Molle down to Gabe and see if she needs any medical attention." and then I turn to Lucian and Wolf. "Let's finish this." We both growl and then spring forward as we run in the direction that Molle had just come from. We came to a fork in the road and with no sound we couldn't determine which way to go so we went to the left when we heard feet running behind us. We were in immediate pursuit of two men and one woman. The woman fell behind easily and Lucian pushed her out of the way. As soon as she fell behind us she pulled out a dagger and threw it at Wolf in the back as I heard him cry out in pain. We were nearing the opening of the cave and I wasn't going to let Marduke get away after he raped Molle so I jumped on his back causing us both to roll over each other.

"You may not live like a man but you could at least fight like one." I told Marduke as he regained his footing. He starts laughing maniacally as we circle each other with our swords drawn.
