This statement was dripping with innuendo. Even more suggestive were the clothes in the shopping bag. It's a complete set of men's clothing, with the men's underwear deliberately placed on top. Dahlia was blatantly flaunting it to Evelyn. Last night, Charles had stayed over at her place.

Evelyn's gaze lingered on the underwear for a few seconds before shifting to Dahlia. Then, she saw Dahlia nonchalantly brush aside her shawl of long hair, revealing varying shades of marks on her neck. To anyone experienced, these were clearly love bites. Last night, Charles had slept with Dahlia. He couldn't find pleasure with Evelyn and immediately went to Dahlia.

Evelyn felt a slight sting in her heart. Dahlia was aiming to wound her soul.

She thought of her daughter, who had gone too soon, and her eyes grew colder. She slowly stood up, looking down at Dahlia with a hint of sarcasm in her voice. "They're Charles' clothes, so you might as well give them directly to him. This isn't a recycling center." Dahlia was quite shocked at this response. Before she could react, a low pressure emanated from behind her.

Dahlia turned her head. Charles had appeared behind her at some point, his presence exuding a chilling coldness.

"Charles, how did you get here?"

Dahlia immediately rose and walked swiftly to Charles, naturally standing by his side.

Charles didn't answer her. He was looking at Evelyn. His gaze was icy, piercingly cold. His anger was evident, and it was directed at Evelyn.

Dahlia couldn't help but smiled slightly. She glanced at Evelyn, a flash of triumph in her eyes, and affectionately tugged at Charles' sleeve in front of her. She said softly, "Charles, don't be angry. Evelyn didn't do anything to me this time." Evelyn was all too familiar with this scene. Charles always sided with Dahlia unconditionally without seeking the reason.

Dahlia was the apple of Charles' eye. She was exceedingly important to him.

He had searched for her for many years. It wasn't until eight years ago, when Dahlia appeared with a token, that she naturally became Charles' girlfriend.

From then on, Charles only had eyes for Dahlia, and Evelyn was cast as the cunning and malicious antagonist in their love story. Charles believe that, in her efforts to ruin them, Evelyn would resort to any means to slander and hurt Dahlia. Before, she would get upset over Charles' absolute favoritism towards Dahlia, misunderstanding her time and again.

But now... None of it mattered. Evelyn was done with Charles, so she had called him over. She wanted to make things clear with these two once and for all.

They had to stop haunting her and disrupting her normal life.

"Dahlia, Charles and I have officially broken up. Just keep whatever he leaves at your place. After all, the best destination for trash is the recycling center."

Then, Evelyn didn't linger any longer and walked away. She didn't spare Charles a glance the entire time.

The moment they brushed past each other, Charles grabbed her wrist.

Evelyn's expression darkened. She immediately struggled. But the more she struggled, the tighter Charles gripped, as if he intended to crush her wrist bones without a shred of pity.

Pain washed over her, and a hint of anger colored Evelyn's eyes as she coldly demanded, "Charles, let go! Are you deaf? Didn't you hear Dahlia say I didn't do anything to her?" Charles turned a deaf ear. He did as he pleased.
