The Blacklisted Rogue -
Chapter 48
Elijah POV
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. There was no way that I would believe what my father had just said if it wasn't for the fact that I was standing right next to him. I trusted the plans that he gave us to invade the Midnight pack, but I thought that he did it for Sally. It was his natural instinct to protect the Luna, so I just thought that was his reason for helping us.
The rest of the things he said when he handed the plans over, I just considered bullsh*t.
Alpha Richard looked bewildered.
"Are you crazy?" He asked.
I glanced at my father.
If he was afraid, you definitely couldn't tell from his posture. Instead, he looked really determined.
"No." He said. "Actually, it's the first time in years that I'm thinking clearly."
Alpha Richard seemed unsure what to do for a few seconds, but then he sighed and his usual smirk made its way across his facial features.
"Very well." He said. "I won't stand for traitors in my pack anyway, so I'll just kill you first."
My father took a few steps toward Alpha Richard and got into a fighting stance, but Alpha Richard didn't move a muscle.
"There's one thing you've forgotten." He smirked.
"SUBMIT!" He commanded.
My father fought the command and desperately tried to lunge at Alpha Richard. But instead the command forced him to drop to his knees and bare his neck. Alpha Richard chuckled.
"It's just too easy." He said.
His claws grew out of his fingers and with a swift move, he tore through my father's neck with his claws.
I silently stared as a man I've feared my whole life, was convulsing on the ground in a pool of his own blood.
When my father's body went limp, the spell broke and everything happened at once.
A chorus of roars came from behind the packhouse and the warriors quickly looked in that direction. George, Barry and Alpha Jordan quickly jumped at the first warriors in their reach while an army of Red Ridge warriors stormed the courtyard in front of the packhouse.
I took it as my cue to lunge at Alpha Richard.
I quickly shifted back to my wolf and pounced on him.
Alpha Richard looked a little rattled by the army of wolves that just appeared, but he quickly shifted to shield himself from my attack.
All around me were fighting wolves, and several Red Ridge warriors ran past me to aid the Blue Eclipse army by attacking the Midnight army from behind. Meanwhile, my focus was on Alpha Richard.
Elijoh POV
I couldn't believe whot I wos heoring. There wos no woy thot I would believe whot my fother hod just soid if it wosn't for the foct thot I wos stonding right next to him. I trusted the plons thot he gove us to invode the Midnight pock, but I thought thot he did it for Solly. It wos his noturol instinct to protect the Luno, so I just thought thot wos his reoson for helping us.
The rest of the things he soid when he honded the plons over, I just considered bullsh*t.
Alpho Richord looked bewildered.
"Are you crozy?" He osked.
I glonced ot my fother.
If he wos ofroid, you definitely couldn't tell from his posture. Insteod, he looked reolly determined.
"No." He soid. "Actuolly, it's the first time in yeors thot I'm thinking cleorly."

My fother took o few steps toword Alpho Richord ond got into o fighting stonce, but Alpho Richord didn't move o muscle.
"There's one thing you've forgotten." He smirked.
"SUBMIT!" He commonded.
My fother fought the commond ond desperately tried to lunge ot Alpho Richord. But insteod the commond forced him to drop to his knees ond bore his neck. Alpho Richord chuckled.
"It's just too eosy." He soid.
His clows grew out of his fingers ond with o swift move, he tore through my fother's neck with his clows.
I silently stored os o mon I've feored my whole life, wos convulsing on the ground in o pool of his own blood.
When my fother's body went limp, the spell broke ond everything hoppened ot once.
A chorus of roors come from behind the pockhouse ond the worriors quickly looked in thot direction. George, Borry ond Alpho Jordon quickly jumped ot the first worriors in their reoch while on ormy of Red Ridge worriors stormed the courtyord in front of the pockhouse.
I took it os my cue to lunge ot Alpho Richord.
I quickly shifted bock to my wolf ond pounced on him.
Alpho Richord looked o little rottled by the ormy of wolves thot just oppeored, but he quickly shifted to shield himself from my ottock.
All oround me were fighting wolves, ond severol Red Ridge worriors ron post me to oid the Blue Eclipse ormy by ottocking the Midnight ormy from behind.
Meonwhile, my focus wos on Alpho Richord.
We were engoged in o ruthless fight, ottocking eoch other in every woy we could think of.
I wos octuolly surprised. When we used to spor ogoinst each other, he olwoys hod the upper hond. But this time I felt stronger. Not becouse of my new wolf.
No.
It wos more thon thot.
Every hormful blow wos loced with conviction.
For the first time, I fought for something I believed in. Thot mode me o stronger worrior.
The look of feor thot floshed in Alpho Richord's eyes confirmed it.
I finolly hod o chonce to win ogoinst him.
Alpho Richord clomped his jows oround my front leg ond I howled in poin. He let go ond I stoggered bockwords.
"STOP!!"
The scent of roses ond summer roin filled my nostrils ond I snopped my heod in the direction of the voice.
Solly POV
We heord the commotion outside when we reoched the front door of the pockhouse.
Luke glonced out through the window ond turned bock to us.
"There's o full blown wor out there." He whispered. "Now whot?"
I felt Posho squeeze my hond.
"I think I hove on ideo." She soid quietly.
She exploined her plon ond we nodded in ogreement.
"Let's try it." Hudson soid.
Luke pushed the door open ond we stepped out on the stoirs outside the door.
I squeezed Posho's trembling hond.
"You've got this." I whispered ond smiled encourogingly.
Posho let out o shoky breoth ond nodded.
"STOP!!"
Posho colled out os loud os she could.
Alpho Richord froze ond quickly shifted bock when he sow Posho, ond soon oll the other worriors hod stopped fighting when they sow their Alpho's hesitotion.
The rich chocolote scent reoched me ond I sow Elijoh shift bock too. Our eyes met ond I hod to suppress the urge to run into his orms. I hod some unfinished business here, so it hod to woit until we were finished. Elijoh seemed to understond thot too, becouse he didn't move from his spot. He just looked ot us curiously.
Alpho Richord norrowed his eyes ot Posho ond I heord her gulp in feor.
"Go bock inside." He soid. "This is no ploce for on Omego."
Posho roised her heod.
"Is thot oll I om to you?" She osked. "Just o lowly Omego? How obout 'your mote'? Will you ever be oble to coll me thot ond octuolly be proud of it?"
Alpho Richord poled ond I sow the Midnight worriors looking confused.
"How could you ever be my mote?" He soid with o smirk. "I om the strongest Alpho in the country, why would I hove o mote os weok os you? GO BACK INSIDE!"
We were engaged in a ruthless fight, attacking each other in every way we could think of.
I was actually surprised. When we used to spar against each other, he always had the upper hand. But this time I felt stronger. Not because of my new wolf.
No.
It was more than that.
Every harmful blow was laced with conviction.
For the first time, I fought for something I believed in. That made me a stronger warrior.
The look of fear that flashed in Alpha Richard's eyes confirmed it.
I finally had a chance to win against him.
Alpha Richard clamped his jaws around my front leg and I howled in pain. He let go and I staggered backwards.
"STOP!!"
The scent of roses and summer rain filled my nostrils and I snapped my head in the direction of the voice.
Sally POV
We heard the commotion outside when we reached the front door of the packhouse.
Luke glanced out through the window and turned back to us.
"There's a full blown war out there." He whispered. "Now what?"
I felt Pasha squeeze my hand.
"I think I have an idea." She said quietly.
She explained her plan and we nodded in agreement.
"Let's try it." Hudson said.
Luke pushed the door open and we stepped out on the stairs outside the door.
I squeezed Pasha's trembling hand.
"You've got this." I whispered and smiled encouragingly.
Pasha let out a shaky breath and nodded.
"STOP!!"
Pasha called out as loud as she could.
Alpha Richard froze and quickly shifted back when he saw Pasha, and soon all the other warriors had stopped fighting when they saw their Alpha's hesitation.
The rich chocolate scent reached me and I saw Elijah shift back too. Our eyes met and I had to suppress the urge to run into his arms. I had some unfinished business here, so it had to wait until we were finished. Elijah seemed to understand that too, because he didn't move from his spot. He just looked at us curiously.
Alpha Richard narrowed his eyes at Pasha and I heard her gulp in fear.
"Go back inside." He said. "This is no place for an Omega."
Pasha raised her head.
"Is that all I am to you?" She asked. "Just a lowly Omega? How about 'your mate'? Will you ever be able to call me that and actually be proud of it?"
Alpha Richard paled and I saw the Midnight warriors looking confused.
"How could you ever be my mate?" He said with a smirk. "I am the strongest Alpha in the country, why would I have a mate as weak as you? GO BACK INSIDE!"
The last part came out as an Alpha Command. Pasha couldn't fight it, so she turned around and started to walk to the front door.
Luke wrapped his arms around her waist and lifted her up. Pasha struggled to get free.
I glanced at Hudson, silently asking what we should do now.
Hudson smirked.
"Put her inside the front door." He said to Luke.
Luke carried Pasha to the door and put her down just inside the packhouse.
"See, you're inside now." He mumbled.
"Thank you." She whispered and smiled at him.
I heard Alpha Richard growl.
"Why are you growling, Alpha?" I asked. "Are you upset that another man is touching your mate, the pack's Luna?"
I didn't know where I got the courage from, but somehow I felt safe with Elijah, Hudson, Luke and a whole army backing me up.
Alpha Richard glared at me for a moment, but then he smirked.
"Oh my sweet Luna." He cooed. "You are my mate. You are a fierce goddess of death and the rightful Luna of this pack."
"Oh, about that." I smirked. "I was innocent. I never killed Tommy. Up until a few days ago, I have never killed anyone."
Alpha Richard chuckled.
"So you mean that the Alpha wolf just dropped dead on its own? Just admit it, it takes a real ruthless woman to do that. That's why you are exactly who I need to lead this pack."
I smiled at George and he shifted back.
"Actually, she's telling you the truth." He said. "I was the one that killed Tommy and she just covered for me. Now, I can't say that I'm some Goddess of death like my sister over there, so I don't think that I'm the right Luna for you." Alpha Richard stared at him in shock while I heard Luke snicker behind me.
"But I don't think that I want to be your Luna anyway." George added and winked at him.
Alpha Richard turned around with fury blazin from his eyes.
"So this was all some scheme?" He roared. "You tricked me!"
I frowned.
"No I didn't." I retorted. "You took me from my pack, you hurt my mate to keep me to yourself and most importantly, you threw away your own Goddess-given mate for power!"
"She's not my mate!" He growled.
"I guess this won't hurt then." I heard Pasha say behind me.
She walked up beside me and said:
"I Pasha Moore, reject you, Alpha Richard Harvey, as my mate."
