Life is good

- Jacqueline

It was Friday and my husbands were still busy with work, they checked in on me when lunchtime arrived, making sure I had my lunch and Remy did not overwork me and got me too excited.

Yes, Remy and I were continuing on our little project of dressing the rich. Although we mostly giggled and ate a lot of ice cream and were nowhere near our execution, hell... we haven't even picked out a name for our business venture. Since Remy's love life was shaken a couple of months back. The two men that I adore after my husbands were still patching things up and I couldn't demand Remy's full attention while I was still trying to fix the guy and make sure he knows how much Ghazi loves him too.

Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones in me, but I needed people close to me to be as happy as I am.

"So, are you ready to show your cute baby bump to your babies daddies' colleagues tonight? Girl, I still can't believe that you're having twins for your twins hot husbands. Tell me, the pregnancy sex, is it good as they say?" He giggled, and almost snorted his tea.

Remy was taking me last-minute shopping for the right heels for the charity gala event that the twins were attending tonight. I was officially Grady's wife but everyone was already gossiping about our poly relationship. And being in a relationship with billionaires sure made you untouchable, no one dared question it to our face.

"It's so freaking hot, maybe it's the twins inside me making my pregnancy hormones through the roof. But I'd be like one of those lionesses in heat where she chased around her mate and bit his balls off if he gets too tired to get it up." Remy laughed then put his hand on mine, "Jacques, I'm glad you have two husbands to satisfy your needs," he winked and wiggled his eyebrows making me laugh together with him.

An hour later we parted and I was driven back to the penthouse and went straight to the bathroom to take my relaxing shower before changing into my attire for the gala. The deep red color dress showed my pregnant figure perfectly, I know the boys were going to be stunned by my sexy cleavage should I choose the Valentino dress Remy told me to wear earlier. But I decided to keep it classy and go with the stunning plum color Dior dress with the perfect neckline that would beautifully show off Percy's collar.

And I know I have chosen the perfect outfit when my husbands look at me like they want to take me back to our bedroom and peel the dress from my voluptuous pregnancy figure. My ass and breasts were bigger, my hips were fuller, and both men said they couldn't get enough of my body.

"You look beautiful," Grady kissed my forehead and Percy said his agreement after kissing my temple and resting his hand on the soft velvety material of the dress, then both reach for my baby bump, caressing our unborn twins just like they would do from time to time. Their little show of affection made the butterflies in my heart flutter. They made me smile and peck their cheeks telling them that we'd be late if we didn't go right away.

"You boys look handsome too," I added when they escorted me into the elevator.

We arrived at the venue gala in less than forty minutes later, the red carpet reporters captured our arrival perfectly and I felt like the most beautiful woman between my perfect husbands. Grady and Percy introduced me to their co-workers and business partners, their PAs were there too. Silvia greeted me with her warm hug and Percy's new PA shook my hand with his newfound excitement in meeting me for the first time. We had talked on the phone but I haven't got the chance in meeting Silas, the man who color-coded Percy's schedules.

"I like Silas," I whispered to Percy once we were seated at our table for the formal dinner.

"I know you would," he kissed my cheek and took his seat beside me while Grady was to my other side.

I did not expect to see Larissa at the charity dinner, I saw her a couple of tables from us and I told my husbands then Grady said, "She's networking in these events, see the gentlemen on her table there? they're most likely to be invited to the club by this weekend." Percy smirked and confirmed his brother's words.

Two hours later we were ready to go back, and I was waiting at our table while my husbands were having their last conversation of the evening with their overseas business partners. My phone buzzed with a call with my mother's number. I sighed deeply, knowing months had passed peacefully without her meddling in my affair, and honestly, after the last time she drugged me and basically kidnapped me, I was reluctant to pick up her call. But I did it anyway.

"What do you want mom?" I excused myself from the table and answered her call.

"Jacqueline, honey... I'm so sorry... I'm divorcing your dad... I know it's wrong of me to... even ask for your forgiveness...  but I'm here... I'm staying at the... Markov hotel downtown and..."

"Mom, slow down," I rest my back on the wall and suddenly felt a bit woozy from hearing my mom sobbing from the other end of the line. My mind told me not to trust her, but my heart was torn apart for her, hearing her sobbing and saying that she was divorcing the only man she had ever loved for more than twenty-five years.

"Mom, text me your room number. I'll come and visit you tomorrow morning with my husbands." Yes, I was not taking chances with her and fucking up the two good things I have going on with my life.

I love my husbands and I know they would like to accompany me, no scratch that, I know they would insist on accompanying me to see my mom. And honestly, whatever the outcome will be, I know Grady and Percy will have my back. They did orchestrate our wedding and I know if it was up to me, we were still running around our feelings instead of shopping for a house.

"Jacqueline, are you okay? you look rather pale,"

"Larissa, hello, I'm okay, I just need to rest." I put my phone in my clutch and rest back on the marble sink for support.

"Um... congratulations," her eyes were on my baby bump when she smiled then said, "I just talked to Grady and Percy, they're still busy talking business, do you want me to go get them?" "Thank you, but... no, I'm okay,"

"Come here," Larissa took my hand and ushered me to one of the comfy sofas by the entrance of the women's restroom.

"I take it that it was bad news? sorry, I just saw you put away your phone, I just assumed..."

"My mom, sort of," I shrugged not sure I wanted to open up to her, but she was actually nice, so we ended up talking about the weather until we both laugh from the awkwardness.

"I know why the Benett twins are crazy in love with you,"

"Thank you, I'm sure you have more admirers than you can handle." I smiled sweetly at her, Larissa is a beautiful woman, probably in her late twenties or early thirties I was not sure since she carried herself with the grace of an older and experienced woman yet her delicate features and face were flawless making her look younger than whatever age she is.

"I don't, maybe men lust over me, but none of them love me, for me, ah... you probably wouldn't know," her face blushed, probably from realizing that she was opening up a bit too much with me.

As a matter of fact, I do know, I used to feel that way from being a sugar baby for years. I wanted to tell her that, but I was not sure the twins would want me to share that information with Larissa. So I stayed quiet and put my hand on hers, maybe one day I will share my thoughts with her or after I ask my husbands if it was okay for me to divulge the information.

"Give me your phone," I smiled and handed out my empty palm to her front. She was a bit surprised but gave me her unlocked phone and I put my number on hers and pressed a call to my phone making sure I got her numbers on mine. "It's this pregnancy hormones, I wanted all the people around me to be happy and in love." I winked at her before there was a commotion in front of the restroom.

"You can't go in there, sir!" A woman shouted, and Percy's PA, Silas, entered the room with his wild eyes in a panic state. "Silas?"

"Mrs. Benett!"

"I told you to call me Jacqueline," I whispered, but still made Larissa laugh anyway.

"Jacqueline, Percy is looking for you, Silvia had gone home, and I looked everywhere. I know I shouldn't go in but I need to check if you're here, and now I found you. I need to escort you out, Percy and Grady are waiting, they couldn't call you," Percy was right, Silas was talking nonstop, he was like a kid on a sugar rush. He made me smile, and put me in a good mood, though I was already feeling better after having a nice conversation with Larissa.

"Oh, I was on the phone,"

"Right, we should go back out," he said wrapping his arm around mine, which then made both me and Larissa giggle when the man who was supposed to escort me out acted as if I was the one who was to usher him out of the women's restroom.

"I like you, Silas," I said after saying goodbye to Larissa and made her promise to call me to set up a lunch date for next week.

"Thank you, that means a lot, Jacqueline, um... can you make sure my boss knows this? it would look good on my job assessment report."

"Tell me, do you file your assessment report too?"

"Oh, Jacqueline, are you making a joke? but yes, I file them and laminate them." He deadpanned making me burst into laughter.

We were still laughing when Grady and Percy found us and I said goodbye to Silas before they demanded where I was while we walked back to the lobby and waited for the car.

I thought my mother's call would bring me down, but I had people around me now who made me feel better and I was confident that I can face anything mom throws at me as long as I have my husbands support and obviously my friends.
