The Apple of My Eye -
Chapter 1689 An Unexpected Encounter
"Okay, let's wait for Shirley, and then we'll all go to bed together, all right?" Sheryl patted Clark's head.
Shirley came out of the bathroom before too long.
When she was with the kids, Sheryl felt like all her worries had disappeared. Everything seemed to be fine when the kids were around.
Before they went to sleep, Sheryl told them a bedtime story, and the kids fell asleep before she'd even finished the story. Sheryl made sure that the kids were covered with a blanket, and then she turned the light off and left the kids' room.
Sitting on the couch, Sheryl fell into her reveries again.

At the Urban Bar, Ferry was drinking with his men. The waitresses in the bar didn't react to him, even when he tried to flirt with them.
Feeling irritated, he suddenly thought of Holley. His lips curled into a smile, as if he had thought of something interesting. Taking out his phone, he called her up.
After a few seconds, Holley picked up the phone.
"Get over to the Urban Bar now!" Ferry didn't even wait for the woman at the other end of the line to reply before he hung up the phone on her.
Holley was about to go to sleep when the call came in. Hands trembling, she picked up the phone.
Even though the call only lasted for a few seconds, she still couldn't help trembling. 'What does he want this time?' Holley wondered in fear. She hesitated for a few minutes, but ultimately decided to heed his order.
Half an hour later, Holley arrived at the bar.
The moment Holley took her seat next to Ferry, he put his arm around her. Flicking her chin, he said, "What? Didn't you want to come?"
"I do want to be here!" Holley answered as she kept her head bowed.
"You look like you're being forced. Well, if you didn't want to come, then why are you still here? Why would you do something you don't want to do?" Ferry questioned in a mocking tone. After he finished speaking, he started to force Holley to drink some alcohol.
"Cough! Cough!"
Holley felt like her throat was burning. 'If I continue to drink,' she thought, 'I might die here."
The liquor was too strong for Holley to take.
Ferry definitely had no sympathy for the woman, nor did he worry about her. Pinching her chin, he smiled coldly.
To Holley, he looked even scarier when he smiled.
"Why aren't you talking at all? Are you dumb?" Ferry yelled at Holley.
"What do you want me to say?" Holley shot back helplessly, but she still didn't dare to look into his cold eyes.
"Don't be so obtuse. Just say something to entertain me." Ferry's hands found their way onto Holley's thigh, and then they slowly moved up.
Holley's heart almost jumped out of her throat, but she bore it in silence. She had no courage to resist him. In front of Ferry, she was as docile as a sheep.
It just so happened that Black was also in the bar.
He had just finished striking up a deal with his client. After sending his client off, perchance, he saw a familiar figure. Initially, he thought that his eyes had betrayed him, but when he took another look, he confirmed that the woman he saw was none other than Holley.
Holley was with a man, and he was touching her body inappropriately. Anger was boiling in his heart. He couldn't believe that around midnight, Holley was drinking with a man in a bar, and she didn't seem to resist the man's advances!
Black's eyes widened in rage. In his heart, he had a strong desire to kill the man!
Holley was lying in Ferry's arms, silently suffering the man's harassing. She had feigned joy on her face to satisfy Ferry.
"Let her go!" Never had Black been so angry before. Dashing toward Holley, he yelled at the man.
Holley's body trembled. She hadn't expected to see Black here, and now that he was here, she didn't know what she should do.
Ferry seemed to be unfazed. He continued to touch the woman in his arms and moved to take a sip of his wine.
Holley regained her wits and sensed the rage burning behind Black's eyes. She tried to struggle away from Ferry for a moment, but when she saw the coldness in Ferry's eyes, she winced. Keeping her head low, she didn't dare to even move another finger, nor did she dare to look back at Black.
"Holley, who is he?" Black asked as he gritted his teeth.
Holley opened her mouth, as if she was going to say something. However, when she glanced at Ferry again, she kept her lips sealed and didn't say anything.
Black felt his heart turning icy cold.
All of a sudden, Ferry gave a sneer and scanned Black's angry face cockily, thinking to himself, 'I've had enough fun with this woman, but someone seems to treasure her.
Now, that's something interesting!
Let me play a little game with them to have more fun!' He gave a wicked smile.
"How interesting!" Ferry suddenly clapped his hands and laughed out loud.
"Why are you laughing?" Black pulled Holley out of Ferry's arm.
"Let me just warn you don't you dare do anything to her!" Black threatened the man.
Ferry wasn't the kind of person that could be threatened, though.
"Yes? Are you saying that I can't do anything to this woman? Have you even asked her what she thinks before making a fool of yourself? What if she agreed to be touched by me?" Ferry said as he deliberately tried to provoke Black.
"You are an asshole!" Black raised his hand to try to punch him.
Unfortunately for him, Ferry had a few men with him. As Black was about to strike at Ferry, the men jumped up to block him.
One of the men extended his arm and pulled Holley back from Black, pushing her back to Ferry.
Black only had a female secretary with him, so there was no way that he could win against the group of men.
"Oh, you think so? Are you a coward? Don't you love this woman? Come on, why don't you come and take her away from me?" Ferry sneered.
Black felt like his words had become stuck in his mouth, and he couldn't say anything to argue back.
Ferry thought that it was boring now that Black didn't confront him further. After standing up, he pulled Holley's hand and went over to Black. "If you don't take your woman back, then I'm going to take her and have some real fun!" he exclaimed.
"Fuck!" Black cursed aloud when it all became too unbearable for him.
"How dare you!" one of Ferry's men yelled at him. They pressed Black down on the table. No matter how much Black struggled, he could not get away from them. The men had been specially trained in fighting not to mention that there was a group of them.
