Chapter 67

AMELIA:

As the car drove back to the pack, I didn’t utter a single word to Dexter and I was certain he knew why I was so mad or maybe he didn’t, I didn’t care,

Hours later, the car halted right in front of the mansion and I stepped out of it. This time around, I didn’t wait for the door to be opened because I hurriedly stepped out of the car and began heading in,

As I got to the entrance, I almost found myself bumping into Luna Aurora,

"Amelia..." She called out to me excitedly, and I hugged her tight,

"Welcome back, Luna; how was the trip?’

"It was just splendid darling." She responded and I nodded my head. I suddenly noticed her retreat and I cocked my head back to see Dexter standing behind me with an angry look on his face,

The look I gave to him made it clear that I also wasn’t willing to talk to him at the moment because I was still so mad at what I had heard back at the restaurant. Even though he had defended me, it still didn’t change the fact that he was the kind of man who shared the multiple ladies he had slept with in the past with his friends,

It was even more disgusting to think about it.

Dexter tucked his hand into his pocket and without uttering any word to me or Luna, he walked into the house,

"Are you two arguing?" Luna questioned me as I watched Dexter walk into the house until he was out of my sight, but I decided I didn’t want to talk about it.

"Heard the great news, darling. I’m super happy for you." She uttered and I smiled. We both walked over to the big umbrella and the seats that had been neatly arranged earlier and I took my seat, "I’m sure you must have taken the pills I gave you on your honeymoon trip. They must have aided your pregnancy perfectly." Luna Aurora uttered and I smiled widely at her. I nodded my head afterward, not wanting her to realize that Dexter had thrown them out through the window before I could even take them,

"That’s marvelous, darling. I hope you’re going to give birth to a baby boy. The pack would honor you and you’ll make a great Luna Queen."

Luna Aurora was the kindest that I had ever met. She was more than a mother to me and her words always found ways to warm my heart so much. If I didn’t have sound questions for my birth mother, then I would probably be okay having just Luna Aurora by my side as a mother,

I wanted her to live so long to watch my kids grow up so that they would also experience part of the love she had to give,

If there was one thing I had to do, it was to make Dexter see the good side in this woman that I was seeing,
