Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 389 Have A Try
Jay was at a meeting with the shareholders when his phone rang. He saw that the call was from Nancy.
He hesitated for a moment before answering it.
"Hello, Jay. Do you know where Doris is?" Nancy asked anxiously from the other end.
"Isn't she at home? What's the problem?"
"I don't know what's with her today. She called me several times, but I couldn't answer because I was doing an operation. Now, I've tried to call her back. I'm not getting through. I'm quite worried about her,"1 Nancy explained doubtfully.
Without a word, Jay hung up the phone and called the servants.
They were waiting downstairs.
"Where is Doris?" he asked urgently.
"She is upstairs, sir," came their confident reply.
"Go and check her for me. Hurry!" he shouted.
"Yes, sir! Yes, sir!" One of the servants trembled and ran upstairs. When she opened the door, she was so much overcome with fear that she almost dropped to the ground.
"Sir!"
"What's the problem? Answer me!"
"She is missing!" the servant said alarmingly. She was still much shaken.
Jay got up and rushed towards the elevator.
"But sir, the meeting is still in progress," his secretary blurted, confused.
Jay ignored her and went into the elevator quickly.
Immediately he got out, he called the police and told them to look for Doris.
'Please, be safe, Doris. If anything wrong happens to you, I won't forgive you.' He drove to the police station and demanded that they used the surveillance cameras to search for her.
Of a truth, Doris was not as fragile as Jay thought. Although she had had a lot of bad experiences, suicide was a foolish thing for her.
She hadn't brought any money with her. And she had wanted to find Jay but didn't know where to look. She would have gone to Felix, but she couldn't get a taxi. So, she had turned off her phone and strolled over the moat by herself. When she was tired, she sat on the edge of a foot bridge and continued enjoying the view while swinging her legs.
The siren became louder as the police cars approached, but Doris didn't seem to notice. Even when Jay came out of the car, she didn't see him as she continued to view the scenery absentmindedly. Her arms were wrapped around her knees while she looked down at the people going and coming.
"Mr. Fang, people who are suicidal are more scared of stimulation. You must be careful not to excite her, or she'll get more drastic." Jay was walking up slowly with a policeman. He nodded.
He gave a hint to the police, and they approached Doris gently. Then he grabbed her as fast as he could.
"What are you doing?" Doris was shocked when she felt someone grabbing her. Realizing that it was Jay, the corners of her mouth twitched. "You! Now I know you can't do without following women! Why did you follow me here? I'm not a bird, am I? Is that why you locked me in your cage?"
When he realized that Doris was still as combative as ever, he relaxed. She was fine. He had been unnecessarily afraid after all.
With her soft body in his arms, Jay felt inexplicably relieved.
"Doris, you look so peaceful. Despite being pregnant, you're interested in enjoying the scenery here, aren't you?"
"Well, it's none of your business," she sneered.
"Of course it's my business! We made a deal this morning that you'd stay at home. You agreed. Now that you've gone back on your word, how should I punish you?"
"Jay, I'm an adult! Do you know how annoying it is that you're so clingy?" Doris pushed him away. "Get off me! Get off or I'll scream."
Jay snorted. Only Doris could threaten him like that.
With a playful and arrogant smile, he said, "You can try the screaming."
Right then, Jay pressed his lips on hers.
When the police arrived at the foot bridge, they saw the couple kissing passionately.
"Ha-ha! I envy Mr. Fang!" a young policeman said with a red face.
"You should hurry and find yourself a woman. Stop looking. Let's leave them alone," an old policeman replied, smiling. Since Doris was fine, their job there was done. They didn't want to be the annoyance here After everyone had departed, Jay let go of Doris.
She wiped her mouth hard. "Bah, bah, bah! Are you a dog or something? Do you want sex all the time?11
Jay looked at her and said, "Well, you should feel lucky that I'm horny only for you."
"Bah, am I really lucky?" The grievances that she had kept inside for several days broke out then. With her tone as fierce as that of an angry lion, she faced him. "Jay, you're bad luck! Since I met you, nothing good has happened to me. I can't recollect anything right now. Does that make you happy? Were you expecting me to jump down from here? Are you here to watch me do it? You cunning fox! You're angry because I didn't listen to you, right? Right? You bastard!"
Her words made Jay speechless. Doris was probably the only one in the world who could scold and talk to him like that.
But then, he didn't expect that his coming would cause her so much annoyance.
"Are you done scolding me?" Jay asked with a straight face.
"Well, I'm not interested in arguing with a crazy person like you. Get out of my way. I'm leaving." Doris tried to push him away. Jay caught her immediately and held her tight. "Let go of me, you bastard!" "Since I'm already a bastard, why should I let you go?" Overbearingly gripping Doris, and with a masterful look, Jay walked down the foot bridge. He could feel people's astonished gazes. Their cheers resounded gradually.
"Help! I don't know this man. Help me! He's going to hurt me!" Doris tried to get out of Jay's hold to no avail. All she could do was to shout and ask the passers-by to help her.
However, they just watched and did nothing.
Finally, someone couldn't help saying, "If it were someone else holding you like that, we'd have thought you were telling the truth. But it's Mr. Fang! Don't be dramatic! He's known all over this town. How could you say you don't know him?"
"Yes, ma'am. You should feel honored that Mr. Fang is holding you. Stop being childish and go with him. You'll live a happy life." Someone was joking.
The corners of Jay's mouth lifted into a devilish smile.
Doris couldn't believe her ears. She found it hard to communicate with these people. Everyone could see that she was being bullied, but no one came to her rescue. She didn't understand these people one bit!
