Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love -
Chapter 335 Crisis
Shaking the car keys in his hand, Charles jogged up the stairs and went straight into the villa.
The villa was not as luxurious as his, but he found the European style to his liking.
"Wow, Dad, your house is beautiful!" Bobby beamed.
"If you like it so much, why don't you stay here?" Edward asked, stroking Bobby's head affectionately.
"I want to stay!" "Really?"
Though Edward had prepared rooms for the children and Nancy when he bought the house, he never expected them to actually live here. The whole situation took him by surprise.
As far as Edward knew, Charles had always been a domineering man. How could he allow the children to live with him?
Edward looked at Nancy in confusion.
Nancy shrugged and smiled apologetically at him. "Edward, this was Bobby's idea. I hope our arrival isn't too much of a bother. We don't want to invade your space!" Edward shook his head and smiled playfully as he said, "Why are you being so polite to me, Nancy? I'm not used to it! I've always hoped I could live with you." He looked at Nancy with hopeful eyes.
"Edward, the kids missed you, not me. I... You know that," Nancy clarified, feeling embarrassed and helpless.
"Let's go inside. I'll make you some coffee," Edward interrupted.
She wanted to explain that she couldn't change the children's mind about staying with him and make clear to him that she belonged to Charles now. Edward looked away from her to pick Nadia up and walk up the stairs with her in his arms.
In the living room, Charles crossed his legs leisurely and surveyed the villa.
The decoration was luxurious but understated. Edward seemed to be fond of art.
"Dad, I want to make coffee with you." Bobby beamed at Edward.
"I want to help too, Dad!" Nancy exclaimed.
Hearing the two children call him 'dad' made Charles' heart hurt.
"Of course, kids!" Edward took each of the children's hands in his and guided them to the kitchen.
Nancy turned to follow them.
As she made her way to the kitchen, Charles grabbed her arm and said, "Don't go."
Nancy had no choice but to obey. "Why don't you go home, Charles?"
"I want to know where you'll be staying. Don't worry about me." Charles worried about their living arrangements the most.
"Stop fussing Charles. Don't you see how spacious this villa is? The children and I can stay in any room," she reassured him.
"Edward, can we have a look around?" Charles turned to look at the kitchen.
"Of course!" Edward replied politely. Replying from the kitchen he instructed, "Their rooms are on the second floor."
Charles hadn't expected rooms to be prepared for his family this early.
He suspected that Edward had been plotting for this to happen for a long time.
Charles took Nancy's hand and led her upstairs.
"Look, Charles! It seems that Edward is doing well for himself," Nancy praised. Back when she was abroad, her room had been decorated by Edward as well.
"Do you like it?" he replied in a jealous tone.
"I'm just talking about the decoration. Don't think too much, Charles," she complained.
Charles suddenly stopped and put his hands on Nancy 's shoulder. "I want to kiss you, right now!"
Whenever Edward was around, Charles always felt the need to hold Nancy in his arms.
Charles wanted to stake his claim and let him know that Nancy was his woman!
Edward always made him feel desperate and possessive, and he couldn't quite understand why. As much as he tried to pretend Edward didn't exist, he just couldn't ignore his presence. Charles wanted to make it clear that Nancy was his, and always would be!
Edward had never made a move on Nancy. Why did he torment him so much?
"Charles, we're Edward's guests and we should respect his home!" Nancy covered her mouth and glared at Charles to reprimand him.
However, she failed to realize that denying him only encouraged him.
The more she refused him, the more he wanted to possess her.
All his life, he was like a king. How could others stand in the way of what he wanted?
How could he allow others to take what was his?
"It would be a shame if we didn't do anything in such a comfortable environment," he purred. He pushed Nancy 's hand away from her mouth, wrapped an arm around her waist, and kissed her aggressively. "Hmmm..." she yelped against his mouth. "What are you doing?" she asked, pushing him away angrily.
She knew Edward installed cameras all over his home, and it would look bad for him to see them like this.
Charles didn't answer her. Instead, he clasped the back of her head. Nancy was in a daze, her face flushed. Yes, he did it on purpose so that Edward could know that Nancy belonged to him. He placed his mark on her, hoping it would send a message to him to stay away from her.
The angrier Nancy got, the harder he kissed her. "Hmm
You bastard!" she screamed as she struggled to resist him. She felt humiliated!
Pressed against the stairs, she couldn't move to shove him off of her.
She kicked at the stairs in vain, making thumping noises.
As she gasped for breath, her anger quickly dissolved into helplessness. She called out his name, and begged for him to stop. "Charles..."
They were still on the staircase to the second floor, but their ruckus could be heard from downstairs.
"Did you hear that? It sounds like Mommy's voice..." Nadia asked with wide eyes.
"It is her," Bobby replied in a low voice.
"I think I should go check on Mommy and Daddy!" Nadia put down the coffee beans and turned to run out.
Edward grabbed her by the collar before she could step out of the kitchen.
"Let me go, Dad!" Nadia protested, "I need to see if Daddy is bullying Mommy again!"
Edward had heard the noises from upstairs for a while now. Judging from the sound of their voices, he knew exactly what the two were doing.
It was obvious to him that Charles was deliberately showing her off and trying to provoke him.
Though he was offended by Charles, he had always acted calmly towards him. He knew Charles was trying to get a rise out of him and tried to make him jealous on purpose. Edward smiled calmly at the children.
No matter what he did, he couldn't shake Edward's heart.
"Don't leave me, kids! I need your help!" Edward took the coffee beans and placed them in front of Bobby and Nadia.
Charles knew that Edward wasn't bold enough to let the children go out and see them that way.
"Okay, Dad..." the children resigned. Bobby continued to count the coffee beans with his little fingers.
He heard the voices as well but knew better than Nadia.
However, Nadia was more stubborn. She stared at her shins, blinking her eyes at Edward and argued, "Dad, I know Daddy is bullying Mommy. I'm worried about her. Please let go of me. I want to make sure Mommy is okay. I want to protect her!"
