Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love
Chapter 295 Dismiss Anna

"Laura, do you remember what I asked you to do for me?" Doris asked as she held one of Laura's hands.

"Mrs. Fang, you can ask me to do anything. As long as it is possible, I will do my best to accomplish it," Laura said with full determination.

"Well, how about this... I want to you go and help me find a gorgeous woman. When you've done that, let's meet in the Beauty Bar," Doris proposed with scheming eyes.

"Mrs. Fang, what are you planning to do?" she asked cautiously, feeling a little worried about what Doris was plotting.

"Don't ask too much questions. You just need to find a woman first and I will tell you exactly what I want to do," Doris said as she took out a card. She continued, "There's one million dollars in this card. You could spend as much as you please, as long as you don't cause me any trouble!"

After she finished saying that, she gave her the code for the card.

Laura never had access to so much money in her life. She was ecstatic, her face blushed pink. "Okay, Mrs. Fang. I will find you the most beautiful girl. I promise!"

"Okay, I believe you." Ever since Doris got married to Jay, Laura had been working in their home. She was a responsible woman who never had any bad intentions, so by now, Doris knew she could trust her. However, it seemed as though she had forgotten that Laura was born into a poor family. It would be difficult to control her greediness after having access to so much money.

When Nancy left Doris' house, she didn't go to the hospital nor home.

Instead, she found herself driving to her children's kindergarten.

She spent the whole night worrying about the wound on Bobby's forehead.

When she arrived, the children were in the middle of their class. So Nancy simply waited outside until she saw Bobby and Nadia walking out their classroom.

When she saw Bobby, Nancy noticed that he had a lot of energy and was being very playful. He immediately ran to the slide with Nadia and they happily laughed amongst one another.

Nancy gave a smile of relief upon seeing the children happy and well. She stayed and watched them up until she saw them head back into their classrooms.

When she left, she went straight to the sanatorium.

It seemed as though her mother was in a much better state than she was before. Jade seemed more energetic and looked much healthier.

The moment Jade saw Nancy, her eyes glimmered with watery tears. "Nancy, you haven't come to visit me for a long time!" When she spoke, she had to be careful, saying each word with a heavy breath. With a soft smile, Nancy went towards her and bent down close to her. She held Jade's hands and softly said, "Mother, I've been very busy. I always try to find ways to visit you, but unfortunately something is always coming up!"

"I know that you're a very busy girl. You shouldn't be worrying about me if you don't have the time. Just make sure you take good care of the children." Jade was stuttering as she spoke. She continued, "By the way, how have you and Charles been doing lately? Since you've already had children, you shouldn't continue with this. Since the two of you seem to be inseparable, it would be wise to get married as soon as possible. You are my only concern. If you get married, I will surely be relieved."

"Mom, do you like Charles?" asked Nancy.

"Silly girl, it shouldn't matter whether I like him or not. The only opinion that matters is yours. All I want is for you to be happy and live a comfortable life," Jade said with a smile.

Nancy took the comb from the desk on the side of the bed and brushed her mother's hair. Like a little child, she said, "Mother, I know that you only say that for my sake. However, love is so complicated. Sometimes I'm completely happy and content; however on other days I feel like happiness is so far from my reach."

When she finished speaking, Nancy released a deep sigh.

Jade felt a little nervous from what she heard. Anxiously, she asked, "Nancy, did you break up with Charles again? It's not good for a woman to do that to a man over and over. It could easily cause other people to misunderstand you as a frivolous and unfaithful woman. I don't want other people to judge you that way, as it will only cause you to live an uneasy life. Just like what happened to me..."

When she spoke, she started to feel dejected. It seemed as though Jade was projecting her past on her daughter.

Her mother's shoulder slumped and eyes cast down in a mournful gaze. When she saw her mother's sullen expression, Nancy immediately wanted to shift the topic.

"Mom, I haven't visited you for such a long time. Maybe we shouldn't be talking about things that make us feel miserable. Tell me, has anyone come to bother you recently?"

Nancy asked, worried that Jill and Fannie had come conspiring against them.

The two women wouldn't reconcile unless they got a hold of Jade's shares.

"They haven't visited me. I'm starting to feel a bit strange about it," answered Jade, taken aback from her daughter's question.

"Okay, let's stop talking about them. Mom, let me help you take a shower." After that, Nancy walked straight into the bathroom to set up.

Jade released a light sigh as she watched her daughter.

On the other end, it wasn't very difficult for Hiram to visit the hospital to investigate what had happened to Nancy.

Upon arrival, he got news that Nancy had hit Jessie, who was already injured at the time. Hiram had known Nancy for so long and simply couldn't believe that Nancy was the kind of woman who would do such horrible things without reason.

Therefore, he decided to investigate even further and checked all the surveillance videos in the hospital. Only then did he find the conversation between Anna and Jessie.

When he saw this, everything became clear. Hiram immediately sent the video over to Charles.

As he watched the video, Charles' stare progressively became colder and harder. Of course, Anna was once again the cause of their problems.

Last time, Nancy decided to deal with all of it by herself, but to no avail. He figured that since the problem with Boyd wasn't a big deal, he should just forget about it.

After all, it was true that there was a shortage of pediatricians in the hospital.

He didn't expect that Anna didn't know how to feel shame or remorse towards her actions and even had the guts to push it even further.

She even caused an alienation between Jessie and Nancy, to the point of causing them to have a fight with one another. From then on, Charles knew that he couldn't keep her in the hospital any longer. Right away, Charles called Hobart and asked him to fire Anna.

Clearly, Hobart didn't dare to disobey Charles. However, David also happened to be one of the shareholders of the hospital.

So he asked carefully, "Mr. Fu... Since David is also a shareholder of the hospital, will he be angry at me for firing his daughter?"

"Hobart, I really don't care. I just called to let you know that I am very angry and want her fired. That's it!" Even if Charles had a business relationship with David, he was willing to give it all up for Nancy's sake. Not to mention that David was just a small client.

Of course Hobart wouldn't offend Charles for David's sake either. Between the two of them, he knew who had more power.

After hanging up, Hobart went straight into the pediatric department.

By this time, Anna was secretly pleased that her schemes had worked. She had just found out that Jessie ended up quarreling with Nancy.

In all honesty, she didn't even expect that Jessie would be so gullible. It was so easy to get her to fall into her trap.

She wondered why she didn't think of taking advantage of her earlier since she was so stupid.

While these sinister thoughts rummaged through her mind, an assistant came over and said, "Director Anna, the president had asked me to give you this letter of notice." "What notice?" Anna asked in confusion.

"Well, you'll find out when you see it!" The assistant handed over the notice and immediately turned around to leave.

"Starting tomorrow, Dr. Anna will no longer be the director of the Second Pediatric Department." As she read the letter, Anna's smile froze. She shouted at the assistant's back as she walked away, "Hey! Did the president ask you to give this to me?"

The assistant turned around to look at her with an indifferent expression and said, "Yes, President Hobart handed it to me personally."

"Am I being dismissed?" Anna shouted.

"Yes, you're fired," the assistant said, quietly untroubled.

Anna was mad! She stormed to Hobart's office with venomous anger and asked him, "President Hobart, why did you fire me? Tell me what happened! What did I do wrong? I didn't even take the red envelope as Jessie did and I have always been responsible towards my patients!"
