After bidding Grace farewell, Millie hailed a taxi and headed home.

Millie, however, found herself wide awake, nestled in Marcus’ arms.

Why did Marcus seem so refreshed when he returned from work? Had he showered elsewhere? She detected the faint aroma of body wash.

She remembered a few nights prior when Marcus had come home and gone straight to sleep, carrying the same scent.
