Chapter 59: it's still him

Chapter 59

For the rest of the day, Hannah ended up completing her work before returning back to the house. The thought of going back home and having to face Shawn shot through her mind once again and she ran her hands through her hair wondering what to do. however she could not just run away from her problems and stay at work all day, she was mad at him for what he had done to her this morning, and even last night. she understood that she had been a little bit difficult but she never expected him to overreact. As she got off work, her colleagues waved at her and Hannah wondered when their close friendship had started but then she did not pay much attention to it as a lot was on her mind. Shawn was her priority and nothing else at the moment.

When she got back home, she noticed that the lights were on, I had a feeling that he was already back home from wherever he went, she molded her fist and walked towards the entrance door, attempting to take out the key when the door quickly opens and Shawn stepped out, he stood by the door and smiled at her, she rolled her eyes and tried to walk past him when he held her hand and shut the door.

"We need to talk"

"No, we don't, we are past talking and I don't want to talk with you"

"I told her we are going to talk when you get back from work"

"I don't want to listen, the time for talking has passed that was in the morning when you chose to ignore me and walked out of the house, now it is my turn to ignore you. how does that feel?" Turning around, she tried to walk past him once again when he held her hand gently looking into her eyes, he could sense that she was really mad at him for what he had done but that was the only way for them to stop hurting each other at the moment, and for him to think of another way to get her to live with him without having to use to be firm. That will only make her hate him and push her further away from him. That was not what he wanted, he wanted to take her home and show her to his parents, he wanted the entire Pack to meet her and everyone to realize that she was his Luna and his mate. He wanted to protect her and tell her that he was the only one who was always going to always be by her side even if no one else was.

"Don't be like this Hannah, let us talk, please" he pleaded aware that she was Furious over his actions but he hoped she would look right into his eyes and realize that he had done that for their own good and nothing else. it wasn't necessarily because he was just mad at her but it was the only way to put an end to that craziness at that moment.

"so now you want to talk to me? I don't want to talk to you Shawn, not now and certainly not tomorrow so go to bed, I'm exhausted and really need to eat and rest up, I don't have time to argue with you this night, and I really don't have time to go back to the same old story that we had talked about yesterday, but if you want to, be my guest but don't expect that I will give a listening ear to anything you say or respond to you when you ask me a question"

she was being rather mean with him, and she knew that but then he pushed her to the wall and that was the only way to get back at him for what he had done to her. "Hannah" he whispered

"Don't call my name" Shawn was the only one who was capable of making her forget about the anger in her heart, it all dissipated at the very moment that she said her name in that sweet manner. No one else called her name better than Shawn, he just knows how to melt her heart and reclaim it as he pleases.

"You said you were hungry. I'll make you something to eat"

"forget it" she cleared her throat, she did not want to be stuck at the dinner table with him. Since he was going to make dinner, he was not going to eat but just going to stare at her all night long, that was uncomfortable, it would make things awkward between them and make her look everywhere else but his eyes.

"why? you just admitted that you are hungry and I need to make your food just as you used to serve me in the past"

"I have hands you know, I can certainly make my own dinner"

"I had a long day at work, how can I let you make your own dinner? what sort of husband will I be if I decide to punish my wife that way?"

"you're over exaggerating and overreacting, punish?" She laughs. "you are not punishing me but I am only doing my job as your wife and nothing else so please let me freshen up and come out to prepare dinner for us"

he was surprised that despite the fact that she was mad at him she still wanted to prepare dinner. "You want to prepare dinner for us?"

"Yes, I want to make dinner for us, why are you so surprised? it's not that I have not been making it before?"

"I know that you have but I just thought that you would..." he paused.

"You thought I was mad at you and so, will not want to make dinner, that was childish and stupid, I won't do that but don't think that just because you are eating with me that I'm going to talk to you because I won't, you better keep your conversations to yourself and let me eat and sleep, the night is far gone and I'm exhausted"

"Don't you want to know?"

"know what?"

"Won't you want to know why you haven't felt the mate bond? and what happened to my parents?"
