Chapter 2089

Minerva's tears immediately gushed down her cheeks again, "sir, I'm sorry. He truly is my uncle. My uncle is very pitiful. You don't know this, but this person truly is my uncle. My uncle is too pitiful

Her mentor was speechless. He firmly believed that Minerva was a good girl. She had never done anything unreasonable, so what was the matter that day? He did not criticize her harshly but instead, he said to her, "Minerva, you're not in the right mood today. Let's forge about the subject from Kidon City. Come report to me again when your emotions are stable. How about this? Go back to your dormitory to have a good rest today and pull yourself together. I '11 look for you again tomorrow, alright?"

Minerva nodded very obediently. "See you again, sir."

After Minerva left her mentor's office, she did not leave the hospital but went straight to the operating room. She saw that her uncle was making preparations at a glance. It was very clear that her uncle was the surgeon, why was he working at this hospital and when did he get here? Minerva had no clue at all. She had never seen him before.

Minerva watched with her eyes widened as her uncle went into the aseptic area wearing a lab coat. The door was closed and she could no longer see anything anymore, she then immediately took her phone out and called Isadora. Minerva knew how much she misse her uncle, but Isadora absolutely did not miss him any less than Minerva, so Minerva immediately called Isadora.

After all, Isadora was older than Minerva, so the things that she had encountered and the hardships she had experienced were way more than Minerva. Therefore, when Minerva hung up the call, Isadora was calm.

"What's the matter, Aunt Isadora?" asked Aino.

Isadora sighed and said, "I think Mineva may have been too stressed recently. She had been going back and forth between the medical school, South City, and Kidon City. Her parents are also not here. Maybe she missed her family too dearly."

"But Miss Minerva is not such a reckless person." Aino knew Minerva very well.

Isadora nodded. "That's right. That's why Minerva's situation is quite worrying." After taking a pause, Isadora said to Aino, "How about this, Aino? You return home by yourself, and I will go see Minerva." 1

"I'll go with you," said Aino calmly.

"I can't take care of you anymore," Isadora said.

"I don't need you to take care of me. Miss Minerva is my best friend. I like her the most. If something truly happened to her, I can help you. Don't worry. I absolutely won't let you take care of me. I am already twelve. I am a grown-up now. I can take care of myself, and I can even lend you a hand."

Isadora nodded. "Alright. Let's go together then."

Due to the heavy traffic, when the two of them arrived at the hospital in a rush, it was already two hours later. They gave Minerva a call once they walked through the entrance of the hospital. After Minerva told them in detail the location of the opening room in the aseptic area, Isadora and Minerva ran straight to the operating room. They saw Minerva sitting alone outside of the operating room from afar.

"Minerva!" Isadora called out.

Minerva waited for Isadora and Aino to come to her and then she grabbed Isadora's hand with excitement. "I am not lying to you, Isadora. I truly am not being rebellious. That must be my Uncle Holden. He must be!"

Isadora was speechless.

"You'll know it when you see him after the operation is done," Minerva said with incomparable firmness.

"Mm-hmm!" Isadora nodded.

The three of them then sat outside of the operating room and waited anxiously. Another two hours have passed. Minerva, Isadora, and also Aino felt that those two hours were as long as a year, and then they went through another year-like period again. That meant it was after that man had gone into the operating room for six hours that the lights indicating the room was in use were finally switched off. The three girls stood up at the same time and stared at the door without blinking at all.

The door opened.

After the patient was wheeled out, they saw a group of people walking out while surrounding a man who looked exhausted. Before they got to the door, Isadora burst out crying and her emotional voice was hoarse. "Holden, it's really you!"
