"Step on the gas!" said Alex impatiently.

Sebastian ordered the driver and the driver picked up a lot more speed. An hour later, the car arrived at the hospital. The two men rushed towards the gynecology department. Yvonne, Ruth, Ryan, and Marcus were all sleeping on the bench outside of the delivery room. Sebastian and Alex woke the four people up and asked them to have some food first before going back to take a rest. It was enough fo Alex to be there alone. After they saw that Alex has arrived, only then did the four people leave.

At that moment, there was still no activity in the delivery room. It was not until after Alex had stood outside of the delivery room for a full ten minutes that the midwife walked out from inside. Seeing that there was only one person outside and it was a different person from before, the midwife asked, "Where is her family?"

"I am her husband." Alex was straightforward.

The midwife immediately said, "Quick! The pregnant woman's body is too weak. Also, this is her first child and her pelvis is a little narrow, so the childbirth is truly difficult. It's already been a whole night and the pregnant woman's strength is almost exhausted."

"Alex...save the child," said Jane weakly.

"No!" Alex made a decision on the spot. "I don't want the child anymore! Save my wife! My wife has to live!"

All the medical staff present were all speechless. A few of the female midwives cried. They felt if they could meet such a good husband in their lives, then it would be worth it even if they were to die. Not to mention that this husband was so handsome and powerful.

However, nobody expected that the pregnant woman on the delivery bed said breathlessly, "Save the child! Keep the child! I can't get pregnant anymore in the future. I want my child to live! I want my baby to live!"

That voice was so weak, and it got weaker as she spoke. Alex felt so heartbroken as if his heart had been stabbed when he heard her. He took a step forward and hugged Jane's head. “Jane, no!
