Richest Mogul
Chapter 1506

Skylar had originally thought that Rosa had matured. She believed Rosa would reflect on the mistakes she had made and truly face the future.

She had overestimated Rosa. At this moment, Rosa was still focused on making others pay for her choices.

"Is that all?" Skylar asked.

Rosa's heart jolted. Immediately, her words came to an abrupt halt. She saw that Skylar was unaffected by her words, her demeanor unchanged, as indifferent as before.

In that moment, Rosa realized that her outburst had only made things worse for herself.

"I didn't mean what you think. I just... I just need your help." Rosa immediately softened her tone.

Over the past few days, Rosa had endured a great deal. Every passing second was filled with agony.

To make matters worse, she could no longer afford to stay in a luxury hotel and had been forced to move into a budget one. Her life had taken a sharp downturn.

On top of that, there was no hope of recovering her debts. Stephen had scammed many people, and his account was practically empty. He couldn't repay her a single cent.

She had tried looking for a job, but having been financially supported by Joe and Ned for the past few years, Rosa lacked any real work experience. The only jobs she could get were those of sales assistant or waitstaff-positions she could get because of her looks. But she had tasted a higher standard of living. Over the past three years, she had come to see those jobs as beneath her-degrading. The thought of taking such a job now felt like a fate worse than death.

"I can't help you," Skylar said bluntly.

Skylar didn't sense any negative energy around Rosa, and the negative item on Stephen had been directed solely at Simona, not Rosa. It was pointless to dwell on how Rosa and Stephen had met or how she was tricked. The past no longer mattered.

Rosa's eyes were filled with disbelief and pain. "You have no idea how much I'm suffering right now! I have nothing left. Joe has married you now, and he'll never want me again. I'm alone in Jipsburg with no family, no house, no job, no money. What am I supposed to do?"

Skylar replied coolly, "As far as I

know, you own two or three properties in Murida, all of which Joe bought for you in the last three

years Selling one or two.

would be enough to support you for the rest of your life, or you could use them to start a business

For Rosa, this was far from a dead end.

Rosa was stunned. She had not expected Skylar to know so much about her. She even knew about the properties Rosa owned in Murida.

Of course, after liquidating those properties, she would still have a considerable amount of money.

However, she didn't want to go back. She wanted to stay in Jipsburg. She hadn't given up on Joe yet, always thinking that one day he would regret his decision, that maybe one day he would break up with Skylar and come back to her. If she wasn't in Jipsburg and someone else got to him first, she would regret it for the rest of her life. Moreover, she just couldn't accept it.

Seeing the glimmer of uncertainty in Rosa's eyes, Skylar felt disinterested. "I'll leave now."

At that moment, Rosa felt like Skylar had seen right through her, and she was mortified. Embarrassed, her face flushed slightly, and she called out, "You... Can you tell me if your love for Joe is real? Did you marry him just because he's Joe?

There was no such thing as unwavering, pure love in this world. All relationships were built on benefits and gain. Skylar's eyes grew cold, and her patience with Rosa was gone. She didn't answer and simply walked to her car.

Rosa felt humiliated. "So this is how

it is? You're ignoring me now?

enet

What's so great about it? Skylar, I don't believe you can keep your relationship with Joe perfect forever. After a year or two, won't the excitement wear off? What about three or five years from now? He'll surely get bored of you!"

After shouting out her frustrations, Rosa felt a little better inside.

She couldn't stand seeing herself end up like this, having to sell off her properties in Murida, while Skylar not only married Joe but also thrived in her career. Family, friendships, and career-Skylar seemed to be succeeding in everything. Rosa couldn't understand why Skylar seemed to have it all. It felt like life was so unfair.

Looking up at the sky, now growing darker and cloudier, Rosa realized a storm was coming soon. She knew she couldn't stay in Jipsburg anymore. She needed to book a flight back to Murida.
