Revenge Of The Billionaire Girl -
Chapter 81 You Are Scarier than a Ghost
Sophia shook her head resignedly. "You wish! Even so, Travis would come to the office to see you after dinner. Clearly, he's coming over to see you!"
"Seems I can't avoid it no matter what! What should I do? Sophia, you are the only one who can help me!" Bard said with a pitiful look.
"Who says I'm the only one? How about Helena?"
Bard soon got the idea. "That's right! You are so clever. You asked her to come, too?"
"Yep."
Bard held her tightly, "You are the best sister ever! I'll peel all your shrimps tonight!"
Travis was already there when Sophia and Bard arrived.
The atmosphere was always tense wherever Travis was. And Bard would act like a student when he saw Travis.
Bard was most afraid of his father and Travis. In general, they were his worst nightmare.
"Why that face? Am I a ghost?" Travis glanced at Bard.
Bard mumbled, "You are scarier than a ghost!"
Travis glanced at him again, "Have you made trouble recently?"
At his question, Bard instantly puffed out his chest and said proudly, "Travis, I haven't made trouble! I've been here learning management from Sophia. And the Summersky Group has been being run very well by me!" Sophia nodded. "Yep. Travis, you know, I've been busy with the project in the Skylane Group, so I don't have time to manage the Summersky Group. Bard has indeed done a good job." "Well, I know it."
Bard yelled a bit angrily, "You know it? Then why don't you say something nice..."
Bard chickened out before finishing his words when he noticed the way Travis looked at him, "Well, I've done nothing compared with what you've done." "Well done!"
Travis took a sip of water after saying this.
Bard stared at Travis unbelievably with his eyes wide open, "Travis, what, what did you just say?"
"Didn't you hear it? Nothing important, just forget it." Travis put down his glass elegantly as if nothing had happened just now.
Bard came to himself very soon, "Yes, I heard it. I heard every word of it. You just praised me!"
Ha ha! This was the first time Bard had heard a compliment from Travis.
Travis took a glance at him and didn't say anything else.
Bard got carried away in pride.
Sophia was smiling. Travis didn't talk to Bard anymore and turned to Sophia to talk about the work over here.
In the past, Bard would ask impatiently, "Could you stop talking about work while having a meal?"
But now, he could be engaged in their conversation and expressed his opinions.
Travis would take a look at Bard every time the latter started to talk.
Bard asked nervously, "Travis, did I say something wrong?"
"Nope."
Bard looked confused. But he continued talking quite a lot since Travis raised no objection.
After a while, Travis said, "He's changed a lot."
Sophia nodded. "Yep. He's been working hard."
"Good."
Bard felt they were saying something nice about him. But somehow, they sounded like he was still the stupidest one in the Lawson family. "Travis, Sophia, are you saying something nice about me?"
Helena and Chloe arrived before they could answer this question.
"Here we are. Sorry. It took us some time on the way. We got stuck in a traffic jam."
Travis was fine with it. After all, Helena and Chloe had been friends with Sophia since they were little. They were just like his own sisters. So this dinner would be lively to have them in.
"That's okay. Have a seat."
Chloe realized she was taking the wrong seat when she was about to sit down. She hurriedly changed it with Helena.
Helena was cold and aloof, but she got shy when she met Travis. She said softly, "Travis."
"Hey."
It seemed that Travis didn't overthink it.
But Bard noticed it. He took a peek at Sophia.
They had all sat down.
The menu was passed over. Chloe was never shy about ordering what she wanted. She ordered the dishes voluntarily.
Since they were old acquaintances, they were not nervous and ordered their favorite dishes.
When the waiter took the menu out, Drake happened to walk by, and he saw Sophia at first glance.
He stopped. Then he suddenly froze because he also saw Travis.
But soon, he found that Sophia was sitting next to Bard, and Travis was next to Helena.
If he looked closely, the tenderness in Helena's eyes every time she looked at Travis would be a sign that she had a crush on him. Drake frowned.
Then Cecelia walked over and said, "Drake, what are you doing here?"
People in the box looked outside.
Sophia and Drake locked eyes.
Then he walked in decently.
Cecelia also saw Sophia, who was sitting in it, her fists clenched. For some reason, Cecelia felt like she would meet Sophia almost everywhere she went. Sophia just kept showing up! "Miss Lawson!"
Drake walked in front of Travis.
Travis didn't get up and just said with disrespect, "Mr. Riley."
Cecelia also walked in quickly and shouted while pointing at Travis, "Hey! You are so disrespectful! Drake is talking to you. How could you just sit there?" "Cecelia, stop being rude!" Drake warned.
Cecelia was heedless of his warning. "Drake, don't be nice to someone so rude as him! By the way, with your status, you don't have to be nice to anyone!" "Shut up and get out!"
Drake knew that Cecelia was a spoiled lady, but he didn't expect her to be so childish, which annoyed him.
Cecelia looked pale. Being yelled at by Drake made her look bad, especially in front of Sophia. "Drake..."
Drake didn't bother to reply. He turned to look at Helena and Travis and then fixated on Travis. "When did you get here?"
Travis continued, deadpan, "I suppose we are not that close, so there's no need to tell you when I got here."
"Hey! What is wrong with..." Before Cecelia had finished her words, she noticed the warning look Drake gave her. "Drake, I just..."
