Revenge Of The Billionaire Girl -
Chapter 67 Do you want to torture him to death?
Suddenly, a man entered the ward and reported, "We checked the surveillance video. Master Drake left here alone. No one took him away."
The Old Riley, however, said affirmatively, "Sophia must have called him. I guess he must be in her house."
Others exchanged glances.
However, whether Drake was in Sophia's place, they would go there. If he hadn't gone there, they would keep looking for him. If he was there, they would take him back. After all, Drake should stay in the hospital for recovery. Sophia's house.
In Drake's arms, Sophia suffered while sleeping on the carpet of her living room.
Her door was knocked, and she thought she was dreaming.
The knocks woke Drake up. Finally, Sophia struggled to open her eyes.
"Sophia Lawson! I know you're home. Get out!"
Not only Sophia but also Bard heard the shouts.
He left his house and snapped, "What the heck are you doing? It's past midnight. You've gone too far."
Seeing him, the Old Riley realized Bard was staying in one of Sophia's apartments.
Obviously, Sophia was a flirtatious woman. Why didn't Drake give up on her? Did he obsess with her that much? "I'm looking for Drake."
Bard was amused and chuckled. "You are looking for Drake Riley. Why are you here? Would he have been here?" "Let Sophia open the door. You'll know if he's here."
Bard seemed to understand his implication. "Good. If Drake is here, I'll be the last he's seen when he can still walk."
"You'd better not be so certain." The Old Riley gave off a strong aura. "If he's here, it must be Sophia who hit on him."
Bard didn't care if the Old Riley was an elder. "Sophia hit on him? You shameless jerk. Sophia has given up on Drake Riley. He should have hit on her if he's here for real." He could tell the Rileys were angry, but he was furious.
He stayed in the house next door but didn't stop Drake from coming to bother Sophia.
If Drake was found in the room, Bard decided to break his legs.
"How arrogant! Is this your Lawson family's education?" the Old Riley scowled at him.
"Humph! Think you are well educated, old man? Sophia has a fiance. Drake Riley repeatedly harasses her. You should know who's the unethical one." "You!"
The Old Riley was so angry that his face reddened.
Olivia rushed up to him. "Calm down, Dad. Let's check if Drake is in there for real."
The Old Riley was about to ask his men to open the door forcibly. Bard trotted to the door and pounded on it, "Sophia, are you in?"
Sophia looked over at Drake. Although she was expressionless, it was evident she was angry.
"You've made such trouble more than once."
Drake looked at her weakly. "I know. It's my fault."
"You'd better leave. Stop making trouble for me. Stop bothering me."
Drake could tell she was impatient indeed as if she was unwilling to deal with those matters.
He felt a sharp pang in his chest.
He tried to stand up and almost fell several times.
Sophia wanted to help him up, but she repressed the urge.
When Drake moved to the door, Sophia couldn't help thinking, 'Has he experienced this countless times in the past three years -- risking his life to look for her?' The door was open. Seeing him, Bard threw a punch at him.
"Oops! Mr. Lawson, you can't be so violent!" Olivia hurriedly stopped him.
"I'm violent, but so what? I'm teaching an animal a lesson. Understand?" His words annoyed many people.
The Old Riley scowled at him. "How dare you insult my grandson!"
"If he weren't an animal, why would he have come to Sophia's house in the mid of the night?"
When Bard hit him, he noticed Drake was too weak to fight back. He roared angrily, "Fight back! Aren't you adept at fighting?"
Flynn and Bailey knew why Drake had been so weak. They hurriedly pulled Bard away.
"Stop it! You'll kill him."
"Kill him? That's better. He can stop bothering Sophia."
However, Flynn and Bailey forcibly pulled him away. Sophia walked to them. "Stop it, Bard."
Bard studied her worriedly. "Are you OK, Sophia? Has this bastard bullied you?"
He blamed himself for not knowing about it, although he stayed next door. He felt upset.
Sophia shook her head and replied, "I'm fine, Bard."
The Old Riley sneered, "Sophia Lawson, I've underestimated you. Drake was in the hospital. How did you manage to lure him here? Will you only stop after you've tortured him to death?"
Sophia didn't reply. With the help of Flynn and Bailey, Drake stood up and said in a weak tone, "It had nothing to do with Sophia. She didn't hit on me. I came here myself."
"Drake!" the Old Riley snapped at him.
Drake continued, "You all want to know why I drank in the bar, don't you? Let me tell you. We had dinner that day. Sophia told me she was happy when she was with Travis Lawson. I was upset, so I went to drink in the bar."
"I realized we would never reconcile as she said so. However, the more I thought about it, the more upset I became. Then I drank desperately and had gastrorrhagia."
"I called her earlier tonight but didn't know what to tell her. She had no intention of seeing me in the hospital. I didn't know what was in my mind but eagerly wanted to see her."
He broke off. For a while, he drawled, "Grandpa, it was all my fault. I took the initiative to pester her. It has nothing to do with Sophia. You cannot blame her."
Everyone looked at Sophia in unison.
Sophia almost stopped breathing, sorrow surging in her heart.
The Old Riley still wanted to remark. Drake turned to her. "Sophia, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been here to make trouble for you. If Travis Lawson needs an explanation, I can talk to him. I promise you I'll never pester you from now on." "Bye." Everyone was silent.
Flynn and Bailey felt a lump in the throat. They went to Amerosia with Drake and witnessed his love for Sophia. They knew how much he loved her.
He bid her farewell, and it meant they would never reconcile.
