They found us?

Logan was absolutely startled as he looked at the soldiers worriedly.

"Buy us time while I evacuate Mario to safety." Logan swiftly carried Mario on his back and jumped off the van. The moment he got off the van, he made for the pharmaceutical factory's back door. Brady looked at Roy before he floored the gas and rammed the gate with the van.

The entrance was instantly sealed shut by the van.

Dozens of silhouettes quickly ran towards the Black Snake Brigade soldiers without hesitation.

Black Dragon kicked one of the young men and said furiously. "Team A with me. Team B will search the factory. I want them all captured."

Black Snake Brigade split into two groups immediately. One of them followed behind Black Dragon.

In less than a minute, there were sounds of fighting coming from behind the pharmaceutical factory.

Has Team C found Logan?

Black Dragon shouted as he moved quickly, "I will give chase. The rest of you will follow me! Set up the drones for aerial surveillance."

With that, Black Dragon darted towards them.

When he got to the back of the pharmaceutical factory, two men from Black Snake Brigade could be seen struggling to get up from the ground. They had blood on their lips.

"Are you okay?" asked Black Dragon in concern.

The men smiled grimly as they shook their heads. "Captain, he was too fast. He's too powerful, so we're no match for him without guns."

Black Dragon asked anxiously, "Which way did he go?"

"He headed East!"

Black Dragon did not linger and quickly gave chase. Before long, he saw a black silhouette running up ahead.

"Stop right there. If you continue running, I will open fire!" shouted Black Dragon angrily.

Logan ignored him and simply continued running.

Black Dragon cursed before giving the order over the radio, "Team C will drive over and cut them off. Team A will drive toward me so that we can surround them. Logan, just give up already. There is no escape for you." Black Dragon shouted as he attacked Logan. Logan moved swiftly. Before long, there was some distance between them.

Logan was clearly a great martial artist! He had Mario on his back no less!

Black Dragon gritted his teeth and shouted, "I'm going to open fire!"

Logan disregarded the warning and ran zig-zag.

As Black Dragon cursed angrily, a bright light suddenly came from up ahead followed by the sound of gunshots.

Logan suddenly swayed and quickly tried to escape from the left.

Three gunshots could be heard yet again.

Logan suddenly swayed and fell onto the ground. The impact left him sliding for a couple of meters. Mario was on his back, but he was thrown some distance as well. Mario screamed in agony.

He was hit!

Black Dragon promptly ran towards Logan. He felt puzzled. His men were not in place yet. Who could've shot?

Logan got up from the ground and lunged at Mario.

Mario's face was covered with blood, and his old injury had burst open. He was in so much pain that he kept howling in agony.

Logan sighed and said solemnly, "I probably can't help you run away anymore."

Mario's face contorted when he went into a brief daze. "What do you mean?" he managed to ask.

Logan lowered his head, looked at his right leg and explained, "I got hit in my leg. I doubt I can go far."

Mario froze briefly before he said in shock, "What should we do now? Do we have any other men out here? Are we really going to let them capture us without retaliating?" Logan shook his head and replied, "Nope. I can't get caught."

Mario was stunned. He said with his voice trembling, "Ar-are you dumping me?"

Logan sighed and said, "This factory is very valuable, so we can't let Adam find out your father has something to do with it. Even if I die, I can't do it here." Mario simply stared at him in shock.

Logan continued, "Now, you have to do as I say. If you don't want your father to get implicated, you must say you secretly escaped on your own. Do not mention my name." Mario snapped out of his shock and said worriedly, "N-no... You can't leave me. I can't let them catch me. I can't do jail time. I don't want to be executed. You have to save me..." Logan suddenly slapped Mario and said sternly, "Shut up!"

Mario trembled before closing his mouth without daring to say a word.

Logan said angrily, "Remember this. Even if you have to go to jail, there's hope as long as your father is around. If you implicate your father, you can spend the rest of your life there. Don't mention my name. You secretly escaped on your own, got it? Once Adam is dead, your father will send men to save you. Got it?"

Mario nodded in a daze.

Logan gritted his teeth and veered his eyes from Mario. He then turned and stumbled toward the farmland on the left.

All it took were a couple of minutes for Black Dragon to run up beside Mario. He glanced at the other and said coldly, "Team C, get Mario. I will run after Logan."

Then he ran towards the farmland for Logan.

Before long, Team C caught up and cuffed Mario.

Mario's face turned ghastly pale as he lost all hope!

Meanwhile, in Lisle!

It was the first time Enrico ever visited Lisle.

Enrico had single-handedly orchestrated Mario's escape, so he was unable to hand over his son as promised. However, he had to pretend that he was not involved. He had to make Adam lower his guard toward him so that he could continue being the Uncrowned King and controlling the territory. Enrico had come to apologize!

"El Coco, are we really going to see Adam?" the chauffeur asked, he was one of Enrico's Great Eight, Connor Diaz.

Enrico acknowledged with a stern look on his face.

Connor stopped talking as he drove toward Adam's hotel.

Enrico quietly looked at the city lights outside the car window. People were going home laughing and chatting happily. Even though he had wealth, power, and status, he could not compare to common citizens since he had no family around him. He was the mighty Uncrowned King of Alameda County, but his only son had to escape the country a fugitive. Just thinking about it made him feel miserable.

A split second later, a vicious look swept across Enrico's eyes! His son would only be separated from him temporarily. Mario could return home once Adam was dead! He was certain of it! The sooner he got the deed done, the sooner Mario could come home to him. He reckoned Mario was already safe by now. If things went smoothly, Mario would probably be out of the country first thing tomorrow morning.

A cold smile crept on Enrico's face as he pondered. Even if you are Drake the Dragon, you will not be able to get his way this time! Adam, you may want to ruin me, but you will not succeed!

Moments later, the car pulled up at the hotel. Enrico went into the reception area to see Adam.

Before long, Adam came downstairs to the lobby. He did not bother to greet Enrico and simply got straight to his point. "Where's Mario?"

Enrico replied calmly, "I'm so sorry. I've underestimated him. He dug a secret passage and escaped from the villa with some men."

Enrico seemed composed. He did not even pretend to be angry with his son.

Mario was in a wheelchair. It was blatantly clear he could not escape without assistance. Unless Adam was able to prove otherwise, Enrico could keep up the act, and Adam could not blame him. Sure enough, Adam remained calm as he smiled and said, "Your boy has already escaped. What's the point of showing your face here?"

Enrico raised his brow and said, "I'm here to confess my crimes and apologize!"

Adam chuckled and said, "Confess? Are you sure?"

Enrico glanced at Adam and said calmly, "I'm naturally here to confess my crimes and apologize. I know you can take me down anytime you like!"

Adam looked at him coldly and said, "I'm glad you know it. You are no longer the Uncrowned King. From now on, I will help you with your territory! Since you can't produce your son, I'll help you find him!" Now, Enrico looked worried!
