Return Of The Prodigy -
Return of the Prodigy Chapter 103
A true beauty.
"Why
are you here?" Adam asked with a furrowed brow.
In an instant, Adam's brow furrowed even tighter.
Yesterday's commotion lasted too late, and he didn't have time to chat with this Swindlers' Guil person. Unexpectedly, Fannie came over on her own today and even chased him to Gemma's house.
"I don't have time today. Go back and wait for my call." Adam bluntly gave her the cold shoulder.
However...
Fannie, with her hands behind her back, hopped into the room, completely ignoring him.
"Hello, Auntie," Fannie greeted as soon as she entered.
Gemma was stunned, surprised, "I know you, you are... you are..."
Fannie sweetly smiled and said, "Auntie, I'm Fannie, the person in charge of Swindlers' Guil in Alameda County. I'm the one who caused trouble for Uncle a few days ago."
Hearing this, Gemma immediately turned unfriendly. "Hmph, what are you doing in my house?"
Fannie flipped her wrist, and without any other movements, there was already a bank card in the palm of her hand.
"I came to apologize to Uncle. Because I couldn't manage my people properly, I caused trouble for you. This is a small token of our Swindlers' Guil's apology. There is one million in the card, and the password is six zeros!" One million?
Gemma's eyes lit up, and she eagerly snatched the bank card, "Are you serious?"
Fannie nodded obediently, "Yes, a million."
Gemma immediately beamed with joy, "Alright, alright! Is it okay if I call you Fannie? It's lunchtime, right? Quickly, have a seat and eat together."
Fannie didn't hesitate either, found a chair, and sat down, saying, "Thank you, Auntie."
Gemma smiled from ear to ear and happily said, "Go ahead and eat. I'll go downstairs and buy a couple more dishes."
With these words, Gemma couldn't wait to go downstairs.
Fannie glanced at Adam, and the smile on her lips was like a little fox.
Adam returned to the dining table with a furrowed brow, sat down beside Katie, and introduced, "Katie, this is my friend, the person in charge of Swindlers' Guil."
Katie smiled, extending her hand, "Hello, I'm Katie. Thank you for helping us yesterday."
Fannie giggled. "Katie, you are welcome. It was my job anyway, so don't worry about it."
"Your name sounds just like mine but with an extra alphabet," Annie interjected.
Fannie blinked. "Uh-huh. That's because I am a full-sized Annie."
Annie pouted her lips, considered for a moment, then turned her head and asked, "Mom, what about me?"
Katie smiled as she wiped the food off Annie's face. "You are a mini Annie."
"Uh-huh. Hear that lady? I am a mini Annie."
Fannie was very sociable. Even though it was her first time dining with them, the atmosphere felt good, and she did not seem awkward at all. On the whole, it was nice having her around.
A while later, Gemma came back to the apartment excitedly. However, she was empty-handed, the said ingredients were nowhere in sight.
Everybody knew exactly where she had gone. She must have gone to find an ATM and check the balance on the card. Judging from her reaction, the money seemed to be right where it was said it was. "Fannie, how's the food? Is it enough? I can get more if you like."
"Your cooking is excellent. I love it."
It was a lovely meal, and everybody had a great time. Even Trey could not resist having a few more drinks.
With stomachs full and spirits high, the Adam family of three left after a while.
Of course, there was also Fannie.
When they got downstairs, Fannie had no intention of leaving. Instead, she suggested. "Are you going to the theme park? Why don't we go together? I can drive us all there since I have a car."
In front of the community gate, the red Ferrari was particularly eye-catching. There was a group of neighbors taking photos and discussing around it.
Adam could not wrap his mind around it. What does she want from me? He replied coldly, "No, thanks. It is out of the way."
With that, Adam took Katie and Annie, flagged down a taxi, and left.
Behind them, Fannie, playing with her hair, proudly said, "The test to you hasn't even started, and you want to ditch me? No way."
As soon as she finished speaking, she leaped into the Ferrari, started the car, and followed them.
Half an hour later, they arrived at the theme park.
Adam bought three tickets and was about to join the queue to enter when Fannie bounced over.
"Oh wow, what a coincidence! We meet again."
Adam raised his brow and wanted to throw a fit., wondering what this Swindlers' Guil person was up to. Did she really think he, the Dragon God, had no temper?
At that moment, a man with casual wear, red-streaked hair, ear studs, and sunglasses walked briskly toward them. He glanced up and down at Fannie.
"Tsk tsk, a top-notch beauty. This young master is going to have extraordinary luck today."
Having said that, he took off his sunglasses and approached Fannie with a slick smile, "Hey girl, here for some fun? Shall I book the entire theme park so that we can have fun in private?" The man laughed heartily, "Go tell the staff not to sell any more tickets. Drive everyone out of the theme park; I've booked it all for today!"
