Chapter 91

Taylor’s POV

Vince tried to get up and come to me, but he was Alpha commanded to stay in his chair by my father. I cannot believe that I was set up. I looked around the room and I knew that I was done for, that audio, which I have no idea how they got of me, is going to get me killed.

I look over at Stone and he is looking right at me and shaking his head like he is completely disappointed in me. What, I made a mistake? I am a child. On my first offense, I was confused, they needed to go easy on me, and I will tell them that too.

I heard my voice come out of the speakers again, “I guess $50,000 is enough for me to get for giving you, Gabi. I need you to assure me that you will keep my sister with you from now on. I don’t care what you do with her. She just has to stay away, and never come back again”.

Shit! Where did they get this from? I can’t talk my way out of it, it is clearly my voice on the audio, and I sound terrible with what I am saying. I looked over at my only support in the room and I saw that Vince was also looking at me, shocked as well by my words. He realizes now that he never knew me.

He didn’t, we were just fk buddies, but seeing the only person in the room who was with me turn against me too, from hearing my own words, was very upsetting. I walked back up to the table.

“I may have set this up because I was jealous of Gabi. You two were so stinking happy to get her back, and you ignored me. I didn’t understand what was at stake. I fell for what he said when he said that she wouldn’t be hurt, but he would keep her away.

That way, Tanner could see that I was the girl for him, that I would be the best Luna for B***d Rose. It is all that I have ever wanted. I love Tanner and I would do anything for him”, I said to the room, and Vince got even more pissed off.

“May I please be excused? I never knew her, I thought we were in a relationship. We have been together for months, and I see now what she is. Taylor is a user and a manipulator.

She cares for no one but herself. It is absolutely disgusting what she has done. She asked for a favor to drive her.

That was it. I didn’t know of her plans, and you can question me all you want since I am under Alpha command. I had no idea what she was doing or planning for that poor girl.

She lied to me the whole time. I am sick about this, and I will help go in to get her on the rescue team if you need my help.

I want to redeem myself because what she did, and involved me in, is not who I am”, Vince tells the room, and I see Alpha Heath looking at him and can see he is thinking of a question for Vince.

“What did Taylor ask you to do?” Alpha Heath finally asked. “She asked me to follow her parents, that they would know her car, and she wanted to know where they were going every Tuesday.

I followed them with Taylor in the car. I saw her take a few pictures of them; Gabi, and Tanner, and then send them to someone via text.

She then deleted them from her phone. I saw her smiling weirdly and I got uncomfortable. She saw me pull back and then she said that Gabi had always been their favorite, and she was jealous of her for always getting her parent’s attention.

I fell for it because I wanted to believe her. I cared for her, obviously a lot more than she cared for me. We weren’t mates, but mine died a few months after I found her in a rogue attack. I thought that Taylor and I could be together, but clearly, she only cares about herself, and her ranking.

There is more to life than rank, like being a good person who cares for others, but I can see now that will never be your agenda, Taylor”, Vince said to the room.

“You may leave, and we may take you up on your offer to help us go get Gabi. Thank you for telling us the truth Vince”, Alpha Heath told him, and Vince got up and left the room, turning to close the door behind him and staring at me while he did it.

He was done with me. It was all over his face. Well, I can get another man, I just needed to get out of this bind as fast as I could now, or I was dead. “Taylor, go ahead and have a seat, we need to have a talk.

Alex just said that he needed some babies and I had innocently mentioned that my sister was pregnant.

I didn’t know that he would take her and the babies. I was scared to say anything about his plans for fear he would come after me instead. So, I stayed quiet, but that was all him. He threatened my mom and dad, and I couldn’t lose them.

I didn’t even know Gabi, she had been gone almost my whole life, so it was easier for him to take her than to mess with me or my family. I didn’t do anything. I was here all day.

Ask anyone, they can tell you. I was sick, so I stayed home from school”, I told the group and had my most innocent look on my face.

I need them to believe me, or I will not make it to tomorrow. I need to bank on them believing me because I was just a kid, I have to lay it on thick so they will believe me and let this go because I realize now that my life is riding on it. I cannot believe the number of people who showed up in her defense.

I don’t even know half of them, but they are all here and willing to risk their lives to get Gabi and her stupid babies back, no matter the risk, and with Alex, there is a great risk. I severely underestimated how loved she was, and me not realizing that may cost me my life. I decided to try again.

I covered my face with my hands and started crying because it always works with my parents. I know I looked pitiful as I raised my face and looked around the room, with tears running down my face. “I didn’t understand what Alex would do, I just know I love Tanner and would do anything to be with him.

I have dreamed of being his Luna for 2 years now. I swear to you all, I had no idea what Alex was planning to do until it was too late. Please, I will help you, but don’t hurt me. I am only 17, how could I . have known what he would do? I could change, I could do better if you only gave me a chance to do it.

I swear to you that I can do better” I said to them, crying out louder the last little bit for effect. I know that the spell will keep me from having to tell the truth and, right now, that is the only thing that may save me in this. I sat there with tears running down my face, and I could see that it was working with my mom.

She is fine. Wyatt, do you remember what I said to you on the stairs before we left Crimson Shadow after Taylor’s birthday party” Dawson asked them, and they slowly started to nod. “You said that we picked the wrong daughter to support.

That talking to Taylor in the office was the wrong choice, and that we should have picked Gabi to speak to. You said that we backed the wrong daughter and that you prayed that Gabi would give us another chance to get it right”, Wyatt said to the group.

“Taylor is working you both right now. She is an expert at this, so how about we move on to asking her questions so you can see how well Taylor knows how to work you two. She uses the guilt that you feel about her being taken from you, and you gave her everything.

When you shouldn’t have. I am assuming you did it because she was the baby and also a female, so in doing it, you felt like it helped Gabi too, when it didn’t. You literally created a monster. One that is narcissistic, greedy, obsessed, and just thoroughly a terrible human being.

She was jealous of Gabi, and she perceived her as a threat to what she wanted, and she got rid of her in the most horrible way possible. So, let’s focus on us getting Gabi back. She has been gone for 6 hours now, and we won’t get her back tonight. I want my grandbabies back, I want Gabi back.

I want to have her back, safe and sound, in the morning, so let’s get this little dog and pony show along, shall we? Because you two are the only people in this room that have even a shred of compassion for her.

Believe me, when I tell you, she will do this again, in a heartbeat, and she WILL need to be dealt with”, Dawson tells them and the whole room nodded in agreement with what he said. Sh!t, I will have to lie my a*ss off to get out of this.

I hope that potion is worth what I spent on it because it will be the only thing to save me now, I think to myself and wait for the first question. Alpha Heath looks at me and smiles, and I know that this is going to go badly for me, as that smile was scary as hell.

“Taylor, you said that you were a child, and you didn’t know what Alex was going to do. You also said that you love Tanner and would do anything for him. But, if my memory serves, he asked you that question the last time you were Alpha commanded the night of your party and you said you didn’t love him then.

So, this love you have, is it a new thing? Was any of what you said true?” Alpha Heath asked me. “I am a child because I am 17 years old.

But yes, I knew what Alex was going to do to her, and I was glad to get rid of her. You all think that she is SO great, but she isn’t. I hate her, and I wished that she had been killed when she was taken. I was mad she tried to come back.

She should never have come back, that is on her. I don’t love Tanner, but I WANT to be his Luna and help him run B***d Rose” I said, and then clapped my hand over my mouth. Why am I telling the truth? Holy st, I AM going to die today. I drank three vials to pass this. Why am I telling the truth?

So, everything that you said to us earlier was all lies?” Alpha Heath asked me. I try to keep from answering by leaving my hands over my mouth, but I still end up nodding my answer out.

“Taylor, do you lie to your mother and me on a daily basis?” my dad asked, shocked.

“Yes, basically at least a lie a day, sometimes more,” I told them, and they both gasped at my revelation to them.

“Do you know how to get in contact with Alex?”.Alpha Heath asked me. “By text, his number is saved on my phone as Lexi, so it wouldn’t cause suspicion” I told him. “So, he owes you $50,000. How was he going to pay that to you?” Alpha Heath asked me.

“He was going to meet with me in a few weeks to give it to me” I told him.

“Why did you need the money, Taylor? We buy you everything. You have everything that you could want here with us. Why would you do it?” my mom asked me.

“You and dad said I had to straighten up, or you would kick me out when I turn 18. I needed money in another account that you couldn’t touch. Also, I planned on trying to horn in on Alex, and take over his job. Why would anyone not trust me? I mean look at me, I am non-threatening and beautiful. No one would suspect me, and I can make a LOT of money by taking over from Alex. Bumping him out of the way and taking over for him is á brilliant idea.

I already knew who his boss was too, and I was going to sleep with him to get Alex’s spot. Alex knows not to trust me, and he won’t be helpful if you are thinking of trying to contact him.

His business relies on discretion and stealth. He flies under the radar, and he won’t meet me until it is time for me to get paid.

You are all screwed if you think you are getting her back. I beat you all, and Gabi and her babies are as good as gone” told them, and a growl shook the room.

Tanner leaps up and manages to grab my arm and his claws dig into me and I screamed out in pain. There are 5 men on him now trying to get him to stop attacking me. They are all talking into his ear at the same time.

“Not just yet, Tanner. She can help us here. Please let her go so I can finish this. She is the only way that we can get Gabi back”, Alpha Heath told him.

“We will deal with her Tanner, just not now, let her go. She won’t get away with any of it”, Alan told

him.

“We need her alive, son. Don’t kill her. She knows more than she has given us. Please release her”, Dawson told him.

“Dude, she WILL be taken care of. We have your back and Gabi’s back. We were always trained to handle situations like that. We will get her back but let us get more information from Taylor”, Hudson tells him.

“Tanner, please let her go, we can’t get my sister back without her. She will be taken care of, you know this. She will get the punishment that she has earned”, Stone tells them, and I am offended that he wants me punished. I only helped set her up, but Alex is the real villain here.
