Chapter 86

Tanner’s POV

“Does anyone have anything that they would like to ask, or say about what we have discussed tonight?” I asked the group.

“Yes, how did a slut get to be our Luna? Why didn’t you choose someone from our pack?” one of the girls with Dana asked.

“Gabi is not a slut, who told you that?” I asked her.

The girl turned and looked at Dana but did not say her name.

“You have been given some wrong information Elise. Gabi is not a slut, she waited for her mate. Which I wished more did for their own mates. I wish I had waited for my mate, but I didn’t, and I am sorry for it now. I hope you all listen to what I am about to say here.

Because this will be your one and only warning on it. I will not tolerate anyone spreading rumors about my mate. If I find someone talking ugly to, or about, my mate you can go ahead and pack your bags right then and leave the pack. Gabi is a wonderful person, a skilled fighter, and an excellent marksman.

She will be an amazing leader, and she will take care of the pack with the same love and attention. She is easy to get along with, she loves me, and my family, and I am positive that she will be a great Luna.

I want us all to love, and care for her, and if you can’t please let me know so you can be helped with your packing and escorted to the border for you to leave” I told the whole group, but it was especially aimed at Dana and her little friends because they don’t realize how close they are to be asked to leave my pack right now.

I will not play with them if they try to bully Gabi, they will be out on their asses and quick. I am sick of dealing with Taylor and I won’t allow my pack to hurt Gabi. Not on my watch.

“Does everyone understand what I am saying? I want the whole pack to protect her while she is pregnant with our babies. I want to you look at her, and see me as far as an order being given. I want our babies protected and safe while on our packgrounds.

You know the love you have from mates, so I know you mated wolves know what I am feeling. I would die for Gabi, and I need to know that my pack will die to protect her too” I tell them. I see the room agreeing, but Dana and the other three are not nodding and accepting what I said.

Gabi put her hand on my arm and shook her head slightly as she knew I was going to call them out on it. We could get rid of them right now. I search her face and she leans in and tells me, “People might get upset if you punish or banish them, they are women, and may not make it outside the pack.

We can discuss it with them in the office at a later date. It doesn’t have to be done tonight. We have plenty of time, I will give them a shot to try to change on their own, if they can’t, then we can get rid of them. But they haven’t done anything wrong yet.”

Technically, Dana has, because she let Taylor onto our lands and told her how to avoid the patrols. I still need to punish her for that too. I look over directly at them and I see that they are all nervous now, as they cannot hear what we were discussing I give them the stink eye, but I decide that since Taylor may contact Dana again about Gabi, maybe I need to leave her here until we can get Taylor completely out of our hair.

I can always have Dana come to my office and we can alpha command her to spill it on Taylor’s plans and that may be a better way to go at least until we can get Taylor done, and out of our lives.

It seems like her parents have finally realized how Taylor is and they aren’t playing around with her anymore. I am glad because if she pulls another stunt, we cannot allow her to be around us anymore. She is too much of a danger.

After the town hall meeting, Gabi needed to go to the bathroom and I told her where it was. I spoke with my parents, and siblings for a few minutes and she was still not back. It has been about 8 minutes and I was worried about her, so I told Alicia that I had to go get Gabi from the restroom. Alicia came with me in case she needed to go into the bathroom to check on her.

We get about 50 feet from the bathroom, and I can hear arguing before we even arrive. We start walking faster and come around the corner and see Gabi just outside the bathroom and Dana and the three girls with their backs to us blocking her from getting away.

“I bet she used a spell to cast on him because I see nothing special about her” Gina said to the group.

“She is nothing, I bet she can’t even fight. I would fight her now if I wouldn’t get in trouble for it. She looks like she couldn’t hurt a fly” Elise said to the group.

“I bet she slept with the trainers to get on the team because she doesn’t look like she is a good fighter at all” Ava said, and they all nodded in agreement with her.

My wolf, Rafe, is out for b***d. I can see Gabi is angry and trying to keep Tala down, as she shouldn’t be shifting due to the pregnancy. I go to step forward to break it up and Alicia puts her hand on my arm and nods at Gabi. Gabi has seen me and gave me a small headshake to not come yet.

“I told you guys that she had to have put a spell on him because I see nothing special about her either. I would like nothing more than to take her outside and beat her a*s for doing that to Tanner. She went after him knowing that he belonged to Taylor. She

must be the worst sister in the world. She will be a terrible Luna, and those pups are probably not even his. He is just under a spell, so he can’t tell that he has been deceived” Dana said to them.

“Why would I need to deceive him, Dana? Is it because you thought that if you waited long enough after you rejected your mate, he would decide to accept you? Didn’t happen, did it? He doesn’t love you and he never did. You were just a convenient piece of a*s when he was a teen.

He hasn’t touched you in YEARS, right? You need to let it go, and just go away. He has a mate he doesn’t want you and he just said it up on stage, to the whole pack, and he made clear statements.

He also asked if anyone had questions and you kept your mouth shut, so you should continue to do so now. Taylor never had him, she lied to you. You need to stop listening to her as a source of truth because you definitely won’t get it from her” Gabi told them.

“You b***h, he does love me. You just have him under a spell right now. I rejected my mate because I knew Tanner loved me” Dana said, and she is furious.

“Keep telling yourself that, OK. He doesn’t and never did. He has told you that before, and he has said it in front of me now, twice.

When are you going to start listening to him when he says it” Gabi told them, and I hope she doesn’t push them too far as I don’t want her to get hurt with four against one.

“You never said that you didn’t sleep with the trainers at your pack,” Ava said, and she looked smug.

“I don’t have to sleep with people to get what I want. I work hard for it and learn it. I don’t sleep with anyone to get it, I earned my spot on that team, and I worked my a*s off to be able to get on the team” Gabi told Ava.

“Well, it is unfortunate that you can’t prove it, the pregnancy is very convenient for you. I can’t even tell that you are pregnant. Seems made up to me, probably to keep us from kicking your a*s” Elisa told Gabi.

“She can’t even help us if we get attacked by Rogues, what kind of Luna is she going to be for the pack, “Gina tells them and shakes her head as if she was sad.

“Actually, I would be a great asset if we were to be attacked by Rogues. I could probably take down a number of them on their way in to attack. I am a great shot” Gabi told them, and they all look down as if they just remembered that I have my gun strapped to my th!gh.

“So, I guess because you can’t fight, you would have to shoot. Not very sportsman-like, Gabi. But I guess if I couldn’t fight, I would carry a gun with me too” Dana said to me with a smirk as she tilted her head to the side.

“Yea, we can fight, and it will help the pack. You wouldn’t be able to help because you would probably have to go find bullets and will probably not arrive until it is all clear and safe for you to come out ” Elise said and laughed, and the other girls laughed too.

“Shooting them is cheating, but I guess you just like to cut corners instead of playing fair. Putting the spell on Tanner wasn’t playing fair either” Dana said.

“I am good to go right now, this second. I did bring my stuff, and I can be ready to go quickly. Just so you know I could probably take out over 100 rogues right now, before they got to the packhouse, with what I have on my person right now.

The more I take out, the less anyone would have to fight, and it decreases the chance of our people getting hurt. I don’t think you girls actually understand how fighting works. Rogues are not here to be your friend, buddy, or get along with you.

They are coming to attack us, cause problems and kill people, innocent people, and it is always serious. The elderly, and the young, make no mistake about it, they do not care who they kill, because they just like to kill.

You are now my people, as soon as the ceremony is complete, I will be your Luna. I will protect you, all of you, even the ones I don’t particularly care for, as obviously you four just want my mate” Gabi told them, and Dana was furious and stepped forward.

“What would you do if I attacked you now? Shoot me?” Dana asked.

“No, I would get you down into a submission move, and then I would choke you out. That is what I would do” Gabi told her, and Dana took another step forward.

“I just want you to remember one thing though Dana. If you do attack me, while I am pregnant. I will not stop with the chokehold. I will keep going until you are dead. That would be your punishment for putting my pups at risk. If you accept those terms, feel free to attack me.

I will warn you though. I fought my way onto the elite team, against men would make your little dusty a*s look super weak. You might get a blow or two in on me, but I guarantee you girls, that I WILL kill Dana, right here in front of you. Then I will come after you, one at a time, until I have killed you all, if something happens to our pups” Gabi told them.

Dana steps back, I guess she thought better of it, and they all turned as a group to walk away, and then they noticed that Alicia and I were standing there.

They all looked shocked and left before I could discuss what had just happened. Don’t worry, I won’t forget that all four of them insulted and wronged their Luna. Gabi handled it well, they would have just kept coming after her if she didn’t let them know that she would end them.

I will discuss it with her, and she can let me know how she wants to punish them. But I will not allow them to continue to stay in my pack if they approach her again.
