Chapter 84

Tanner’s POV

I do see Wyatt and Everly trying to do better. I can see that they do want to build up a relationship with her, and I am glad. She didn’t really say anything about how she felt about how they did her to me after it all blew up after Taylor’s birthday party, but I knew it had to have hurt her.

I am so glad that Heath and Von love her as they do and claimed her straight away. They dote on her, but Gabi is easy to love.

Stone and Gabi have gotten along so well, they think about things the same way and are so similar to each other. They are both very intelligent, and quick learners at whatever they are doing, and they also have similar fighting styles as well, which I had noticed during training.

I also see that Taylor is very smart as well, but she likes to be devious and malicious with how she does, and only cares about herself.

I know now why Stone was hesitant to get around Gabi now, and that is because he has been burned too many times by Taylor. He knows the stove is hot and he didn’t want to deal with two of them, which thank the Goddess there are not two Taylors.

I don’t know of anyone who could have put up with that. It would be a nightmare. I saw Taylor coming as I had felt someone watching me and I glanced up to see her standing at the top of the stairs looking at me, it was creepy.

Then she made her comment so she could get her parent’s attention. I have to hand it to her, she is really good at getting people’s attention.

She craves it, and Gabi was right to feel like Taylor knew about the babies. I can feel it; I saw her looking at Gabi’s stomach and all bets were going to be off if that b!tch does something to my Gabi or my pups.

Taylor WILL be killed for doing something to my Gabi, or to my babies and I will burn this whole place down before I would let her be successful at it.

She has pissed us off many times with the bullsh!t that she pulls with trying to get me, but I am not, nor have I ever been, hers, I will never be hers. At this point, she is truly delusional, and I told Stone that I would be calling him tomorrow to talk.

I need someone on the inside and it can only be Stone. After Wyatt accused me of sleeping with Taylor, and admittedly Taylor is a convincing liar, I swore to him that I hadn’t. I asked him to go ahead and Alpha command her, and he didn’t do it until Alpha Heath told him to.

Then Alpha Wyatt finally did it, and it did get straightened out, but I still have an issue with Alpha Wyatt not believing or trusting me. We were allies and had a treaty, both of those are gone.

I may make another one with Stone, I do trust him more than Alpha Wyatt, but Wyatt and Everly are crazy if they think that I will let Gabi go to their pack by herself, plus, she can’t drive yet. So, I or someone who can protect her will go with her, to every one of their meetings.

I shake my head again thinking about Taylor. I am completely annoyed at her and her actions, I am not a toy. I am not a prize to be won, I am a person and I deserve to be able to have my mate and be with my mate without us having to constantly watch over our shoulders.

She can’t just claim me, that is not how it works, and it truly shows how immature and childish she still is that she thinks that she can. Her thinking like this makes her dangerous because she is willing to literally do anything to get me, including getting rid of Gabi permanently. That is what I need to talk to Stone about.

We may need to get some audio in her room so we can hear her in her room and making plans, she hasn’t trained and cannot beat Gabi, even with Gabi pregnant. Taylor is going to have to outsource this, and I need to know who she is going to deal with, so I know who to go after.

I will go after Taylor too, but she will hang around because she will think she is in the clear, plus she has the potions to keep her from being compelled to tell the truth, even under Alpha Command. Or so she thinks, she would be wrong about that.

I will pull no– punches for her as she was warned far more times than she should have ever been to try to keep from hurting her, but I will tell you this if my mate is taken then what Taylor saw at Red River will be NOTHING compared to what she will deal with if she is stupid enough to do something to Gabi again.

We pull up to the Gate to leave and on this part of the trip Gabi was upfront with me, and Gavin is in the backseat playing on his phone.

I am excited as I want to hold Gabi’s hand while I am driving, we pull up to the gate to leave and go to B***d Rose, and I see the warrior at the gate stop and do a double-take at Gabi.

I could tell that he probably first thought it was Taylor, as they both look exactly like their mom, but Gabi’s black hair and blue eyes make her more beautiful in my opinion.

I stop to let them know that we are leaving, and the warrior bends down and looks at Gabi and said, “Are you Taylor’s sister that I have heard about?”.

Gabi look sat him and said, “I am Stone’s sister. I do not claim any relation to Taylor”. “I am sorry, it is just you look exactly like her, I am sorry if I made you uncomfortable. You are both lovely women” the warrior said, and that was bold, so I growled at him to make it clear that she wasn’t available.

He holds his hands up and said, “Sorry man, but you know Taylor has kind of a reputation around here and I was going to let her know that. It is not a good reputation, so I wanted to warn her, so she would know for her next trip here.

I don’t think anyone would confuse them, with the different hair color, but we heard that the missing daughter was back, but none of us had seen her yet. I didn’t mean to insult your mate” the warrior said, and he had looked at Gabi’s neck the second that I growl at him and realized his mistake. Great, Taylor is working through the warriors at this pack.

I am glad for the head’s up, now I am positive that Gabi will NOT be coming back here again, especially alone. He tells us to have a good day and tells the other warrior at the gate to let us out, and I see the guy in the booth looking hard at Gabi, and with a familiar grin on his face.

He is probably one of the warriors messing around with Taylor, and I notice that he looks like me a little. He is a big guy, with black hair too, and I realize that because Taylor is picking guys that look a little like me, she isn’t just delusional, she is obsessed.

She really has a bigger issue than we thought, and I cannot get Gabi away from here fast enough. When I speak to Stone, I will give him a heads up on Taylor and the warriors and for him to keep his ear to the ground as I know because I can feel it like a physical thing, that Taylor has a plan, and it will be the worst one yet.

We didn’t get to eat at Crimson Shadow so we stopped in Quincy on the way home so we could grab some lunch. Everyone felt like burgers, so we stopped at Mill Street for lunch. It was nice and Gabi was looking at all the other restaurants there as we headed back out on the road.

I already know she was making a list of where to go when she met with her parents. She seemed a lot happier now and I know that she did want a relationship with them, she just covered up her pain and didn’t share it.

Gabi is tough, inside and out, but we all need someone that we can share our innermost thoughts with, and I want to make sure that tonight when we go to bed, she knows that I want to always be that person for her.

I reached out my hand to Gabi on the console, and she places her hand in mine, and my life feels perfect right now. I have my mate, and our pups on the way and I cannot imagine my life getting any better than it is at this moment.

We pull up to the gate at B***d Rose with the emblem of the deep red rose in an intricate design on the gate and I am proud to show her my home. I hope she likes it as we drive up to the front of the packhouse and I park and watch my mom and dad coming down the steps to greet us.

I see my Beta Peter, and his mate Josie right behind them and I know that he has heard all about Gabi from Gavin. Peter has wanted to meet her since he announced to me that the trainers from Ever Green had their first female trainer.

Peter has mad respect for her and is chomping at the bit to see if she can help train the warriors, because anyone can make improvements, even highly trainer warriors. I feel someone watching us and look to the side of the packhouse and see Dana and three other girls standing there, and they are all warriors and had occasionally flirted with me previously.

I turned them all down, as I was looking for my mate. I guess Dana hasn’t given up, she is still trying to start sh!t and my mate is pregnant, I will not allow anyone to mess with Gabi, at any time.

I already know that I need to call a town hall meeting and announce their new Luna, and also give all these women who are holding out hope a warning. I cannot allow someone who has the intent to hurt my mate or my pups to be allowed to stay here.

I also need to make sure I remember to punish Dana for allowing Taylor onto our packlands mindlinked Peter and told him to send out a mandatory town hall meeting tonight, for all pack members except those who are on patrols. I have some announcements to make, and we will get everyone all straightened out.
