Chapter 59

Gabi’s POV

I am so proud of Tanner. He took the test at exactly the five-week mark, while running his pack full time, and dealing with the bullshit that Taylor and Dad were doing on top of it.

It was actually very smart on Taylor’s part as the blame could be fully placed on Dana, and she would have been successful at breaking us up and still have deniability about being a part of it.

Taylor never thought she would be found out, and I hope she does come to the Luna ceremony because I am going to kick her a*ss when she does show up.

We had dinner and everyone congratulated Tanner on what a good job he did, we had a few girls show up at the table to try to flirt but he just tilted his head at them, to deliberately show off his mark, and they left us alone after that. I can’t blame them for trying, he is absolutely gorgeous.

He moved his stuff back into my room as soon as we got back on our floor. Von made sure that Dana and Brock were on the lower guest floors, and Dana was mad that Tanner was ignoring her.

I let him shower first, and I got my nightgown out, and I am debating, should I even put it on? Or just come out na*ked? How do I need to do this? I am worried because I don’t really know what to do. I hear a knock at the door, and see Von in the hallway when I answer it.

“Von, what are you doing here?” I asked in surprise.

“Honey, we were at breakfast with you. We could smell your ar0usal on you. I didn’t think you were on birth control. So, I went to the store for you while Tanner was testing, just in case.

Rest assured, you don’t have to use them, honey, I would love to have some grandbabies running around the halls here visiting us” I blushed again, harder this time as now I know Heath knows as well, and that is even more embarrassing, as Von hands me the bag and turns to go.

“I know what happens, my mom at Red River told me, but I don’t know how to, you know. Start things off, and I am a little scared” I tell Von in a low tone.

Von turns right back around and comes to hug me tight. “Do not worry about a thing, Gabi. Tanner knows what to do, and he will take care of you. Just start off with k!ssing, and Tanner will do the rest, OK. Do you feel better now?”

Von asks me as she k!sses my head. I nod and hug her back. I am glad that she thought about me, and if I was ready for pups yet, and made that decision totally mine. Von and Heath always take care of me and think about me and my needs, and I love them both so much.

“Alright sweet girl, I heard the shower turn off. I will see you in the morning. Everything will be fine. Tanner will love and take care of you” Von tells me and walks back to her room.

I shut the door, and go to put the bag on my nightstand. How am I going to face Heath in the morning? I am so embarrassed that he and Von could tell that I was turned on by Tanner this morning. I mean, he is my mate, and I guess it is natural for me to want my mate, so I will not feel bad about it.

I do want him, very much, and most don’t wait, they just mate when they find each other. I am glad that Tanner knew about what had happened with Derek and allowed me some time to get to know him. We spoke on the phone every day since we couldn’t see each other..

Tanner cannot wait for me to come to his pack. He tells me that me just being there with him keeps him calm, and happy. He is going to let me put my desk in his office so we can be together while we work. I have to say that I am excited about being able to be with him every day.

I heard a sound and turn my head to the doorway of my bathroom and my breath catches in my throat. Tanner is there in all his glory with my towel tied around his waist and it is riding low.

I see his 8-pack, his V-cut, and I used to be able to remember the real name of it, but right now, I can’t even remember my own name as I look at him and find myself unable to blink anymore.

I just keep staring at him, but I have no idea how long before I hear low laughter coming from him and him moving to me where I sit on the side of the bed. He helps me stand and gives me a k!ss. His towel shifted a little while we were k!ssing and knocked the bag from my nightstand onto the floor.

I go to get it and one of the packages falls out of the bag, and I know my face is totally red right now. I look up at Tanner, who is now grinning widely at me and teases me, “Gabi, I am not that kind of a man. You are going to have to woo me first”.

My face is now on fire, I can feel the heat coming off of it, and I wish I could bury my head in the sand somewhere. Goddess, this is embarrassing.

“Baby, I am so sorry. I couldn’t help but tease you” Tanner tells me and is still laughing a little as he k!sses the top of my head.

“It is embarrassing, as Von and Heath both know that we are going to you know, tonight. How am I going to face Heath tomorrow? I asked him.

“Honey, he knew this morning. He spoke to me about it as he took me out to testing because you were all I could think about. I needed to get back to you quickly, and he told me to get my head in the game. He was right, I can’t protect you if I couldn’t pass the test. You already faced him after testing, he didn’t tease you. He wanted his Luna the same way when he met her. It will be OK.

I have got you, and we will take it slow” Tanner tells me, and then gives me a little push to the bathroom. I grab my clothes and go to take my shower. I put on my lace-trimmed camisole and boy short set, this time in a baby blue, as I have them in several colors, and I didn’t want to wear the coral one I was in when Derek came into my room at Crimson Shadow. I wait a minute at the door before I come out into my bedroom.

Tanner has the main light turned off, and just the one on my nightstand on, so the light is low. I come to the bed and get in next to him and see a flash of his h!p when I pulled the covers back, so I already know that he has lost his towel. I see the bruises from Alan hitting him and I am concerned for his pain.

I touched one of them and he knew! was worried about his pain level. Alan can c0ck a rib, with his blows, and he wasn’t just going to hand it to Tanner. I know he got hurt. “Nothing is broken and Rafe is healing me, I am fine. I know you are nervous Gabi. I will take care of you.

There will only be 1 moment of discomfort, but all of the rest of it will just be pleasure. I am so glad you waited for me, and I hate I didn’t do the same for you” Tanner tells me and pulls me closer to him.

I lay back on my pillow and I remember Von saying that I only need to k!ss him to get it started and that I can do. I roll to my side to face him, and Tanner was just watching me right now to see when I was comfortable with him. I traced his stomach and followed the lines on ner was his abs, as I gently moved my finger around.. Tanner was perfection, and he was all mine.
