Rejected, but not Broken
Chapter 46

Taylor’s POV

Last night lasted forever. My parents kept asking me questions that I didn’t want to answer. Like if a deer really ran me off the road when I wrecked my car, at least that is what I had told them.

They got me a basic car, a Nissan Maxima, when I wanted a black GLB Mercedes. Not an orange Maxima. So, I waited two months and I deliberately wrecked it to get what I wanted.

They bought the Mercedes for me and I loved my car, I can really go shopping in my car and put everything in the back. I even got it all tinted out, so it looks really nice too.

They took the opportunity to ask me questions about all kinds of things and when we were finally finished, they made me go to my room, and not to my birthday party. I had to hear about Tanner dancing with Gabi from Piper and Heather.

They even told me when they said something to him about leaving me for Gabi, that he straightened out the whole room, that Gabi was his mate. He also told them that we had never dated, and would never date. That is what he thinks.

He is wrong, I still have that little vial on me and all I need to do is put it in his drink and he will think that I am his love. If that makes him think that I am Gabi long enough for him to mark me, so be it.

Whatever it takes for me to get to be his Luna. What do I care about some girl who happens to be my long-lost sister? I didn’t even know her. She was taken when I was 8 months old. Even Stone doesn’t remember her. She doesn’t even remember us.

I am so glad that mom and dad told me that she was not going to be staying here. I didn’t know what I was going to do, but if she was going to stay here, I was going to have to find a way to get rid of her.

I waited for Tanner to come down and he was right behind her coming into the dining hall, as expected. I did go by his room last night, but only Gavin and Alicia were in the room and Alicia went off on me. I remembered our conversation and frowned.

“What the hell are you doing in here, Taylor?” Alicia asked me.

“I was just going to say goodnight to Tanner, I didn’t get to see him tonight and I just wanted to see if he would give me a hug for my birthday?” I told her.

“He is with his mate, Taylor. You need to let this go. It is a done deal, Taylor; you need to leave him alone. In fact, leave our whole family alone.

None of us like you, at all. If memory serves, your family may have lost us as both an Ally and our treaty, over you. Entirely because of you, and your actions, and you not being able to tell the truth,” Alicia said to me.

“What would you know about it, Alicia? Tanner does like me, and I can make him want me. I have done it before with others, and I can do it again.

He just thinks she is important right now. He won’t love her forever, I will have Tanner, and I WILL be Luna of the B***d Rose pack”, I told Alicia.

“Well, that is going to be tough, seeing as how you are banned from our packlands as of last night, after the meeting in your parents’ office. Tanner already has it noted, so you cannot come onto our lands. If things don’t go well tomorrow, or whenever Tanner speaks to your dad, none of you can come onto our land again, except Gabi.

Also, it won’t be here when he does speak to your dad, as you cannot be trusted for Tanner to stay overnight anyway. You have single-handedly ruined the trust between our packs.

Your parents believed you, and I have no idea why. You are a spoiled and worthless she wolf, who doesn’t lift her finger to help anyone else. You only care about yourself”, Alicia said to me.

“You shut the hell up. I will have Tanner. It is just a matter of time, it might be tomorrow, or it could be a few months from now, but I will be here waiting for him when he finally makes the decision that I am his perfect chosen mate. He doesn’t need Gabi, and she will do just fine staying at Ever Green.

I heard all about Gabi, from Piper. She wanted Derek, but Derek chose Piper. He wants Piper, and he loves Piper. You can totally love a chosen mate, and Tanner will love me, once he gives me a chance.

I already know that I can make him love me, it is only a matter of time before he realizes it too”, I told Alicia.

I turned around before she could reply to me and headed to where I knew Gabi was and I heard a roar coming from her room. I can see from my vantage point that Derek is in Gabi’s room on the floor and Tanner is furious.

I see him partially shift and I know Derek is about to be attacked. Gabi steps in and saves him. Tanner is still furious when he smells Derek on Gabi, but that gives me an idea.

I need to make sure Gabi goes back to her old pack with Derek. I just need to convince Piper that this is a good idea. Derek obviously still wants Gabi, for whatever reason.

She will be a pain in Piper’s side, not mine. I saw Derek come out from an adjoining room and run down the hallway, back to his room. I guess I will talk to him tomorrow and get him on my side of this. Get him to help me convince Piper to let Gabi come back.

Obviously, Piper didn’t know that he had left the room, or she would have come out when she heard that roaring occur. I still have one vial that my source gave me for tomorrow. I just need to get it into Tanner’s drink then, because if Alicia is right, I will not be allowed on his packlands anymore.

Why, what did I do that was so bad? Love Tanner? Well, Like Tanner. I will grow to love him when I am made Luna. I guess I will have to get some more money so I can get more made up for me to use. I need to get something so that when he drinks it, he will see Gabi, and think that he is with Gabi.

Tanner will sleep with her, and Gabi will feel him cheating on her, and when she rejects him, I will be there to pick up the pieces. That is an excellent backup plan. I will try mine first though. If I can just get it into his drink, it will be clear sailing for me from now on.

He will love me, and I will just have to keep loading him up with it until he really does love me, or marks me, whichever is first. If I can’t get him to drink it, I know someone who can that can get onto his packlands, and that is all that I have to do to get them broken up. When he figures out what happened, he will probably kill her for making him lose Gabi, but I will still be safe.

That will allow him to come to me, as at least I look like Gabi, and I can always make my hair black. We would look very similar if I did that. If he can’t have his mate, at least he would have her doppelganger. Either way, I will win. My parents talking to me all night was a nightmare.

I totally missed out on my party. There was only good thing that came from it. Mom and dad were going to go down and call Gabi up to the stage to announce to the whole pack and all my friends that my long-lost sister had been returned. I don’t want people to know that I am related to her.

They should have a better bond with me anyway, and she hasn’t even been here for the last 16 plus years. They should care for me more than her anyway. It’s not like I kidnapped her myself. Oh, that is a good idea. If my plans don’t end up working out, that is what I will do.

I will get some guys up and we will make her “disappear” again. Only this time, she won’t ever be coming back from it. It would have been her own fault though she didn’t have to show up and mess with the plans that I had been working on for the whole year. It will serve her right by making my birthday the worst one ever.

T headed to my room and made plans for the morning. I will act like nothing at all has happened. If I could get the vial into Tanner’s drink, I would have him eating out of my hand, and I could make Gabi go away with that same vial. Tanner will break her heart and I will be back to where I want to be, with Tanner and Gabi free to reject him for leaving her for me. I smiled as I thought about my plans. I cannot wait for tomorrow.

The next morning, I caught Derek alone at the breakfast bar, as Piper and Heather had already gotten their food. “How did your night go Derek?” I asked him.

“Great, how was yours? I am sorry we didn’t get to see you for very long. Thank you for inviting us. Piper is going to ask you to come to her Luna ceremony. It is the middle of next month. She is really excited about it”, Derek tells me, and smiles and waves at Piper as he moves down the line.

“I saw you last night, in Gabi’s room. I saw Tanner show up and kick you out”, I told him.

Derek flushed and gave me a look and asked, “What is your point, Taylor?”

“I want you to talk Piper into letting Gabi come back to your pack,” I told him.

“She won’t do it. She knows Gabi was my mate, and she doesn’t want her back in the pack again”, Derek tells me.

“I think you could charm her into it. Sleep with her, and then later, while you are doing pillow talk, tell her that she has nothing to worry about, concerning Gabi”, I told him.

“Piper will NOT agree to it. Knowing after last night that I wanted Gabi back, she wouldn’t let her come back to Red River”, Derek tells me.

“Did you say that in front of Piper?” I asked him and couldn’t wipe the surprise off my face. I missed out on a lot of stuff last night.

“Yes. I did”, Derek said and then sighed. “I cannot believe that I did it either. That was so stupid, and that stupid Tanner guy warned me to stay away, but I said it in front of Piper, and now Piper is super mad. So, if I was part of your “master plan” on trying to get Tanner back.

You will need to make up a new plan. I am already in trouble with Piper for what I said. There is no way in hell that Piper will voluntarily allow Gabi back into our packlands. Unless we need Heath’s team to come in and train our two packs on how to fight the rogues”, Derek tells me.

“Great, well, thanks for nothing Derek,” I told him, and we headed for my table. I am going to have to come up with a new plan. I have the vial in my pocket. I guess my only option is to get it into his drink. At least this is my only option for today.

I finally see Tanner coming and he is behind Gabi, of course, and it is so hard not to give her a piece of my mind. I call out to Tanner and tell him I have a chair for him, but he ignores me and walks away with Gabi.

They drop off their food at the table with their families and friends and they go to get something to drink. I headed over to their table to remind him that he didn’t have to stay with her and give the people with them a look.

I can’t get anything into his drink, everyone at the table is looking at me now and I want to scream. I will have to see about making him a drink later and having Stone deliver it to him because they are watching me like I am about to do something. I am, but I am not stupid enough to do it in front of them.

I walked away, heading back to my table, and I turned around to look at Tanner when I saw Gabi looking at me with a frown on her face. If only she knew. She is about to lose her man.

I may be young, but I always get what I want, and I want Tanner. I will do whatever it takes to get him, so she can enjoy him for the moment, but I guarantee that it will not last.
