Chapter 163

Jason hung his head, tears streaming down. He was unable to utter a single word.

He never noticed such an obvious scheme and deception.

Jennifer plotted against Natalie, who was brought back from an impoverished town. Proud and raised among the elite, he found Natalie embarrassing. He thought she would bring them shame.

But it wasn't Natalie's fault. She was switched right after she was born. If that hadn't happened, there's no doubt she would have been just as accomplished.

No, she was accomplished. Yet, they just never noticed.

They fell into Jennifer and Nick's trap and were deliberately raised to be useless. And then, they grew up in this kind of environment, which turned them into pushy and arrogant.

Zoe had it spot on when she said, "Jason, you're a complete fool. I'll never like such a worthless fool again."

He thought Natalie was a shame, but now he realized that the real joke was on him.

Jennifer kept plotting against Natalie, and with each scheme, their loyalties began to change.

The dislike was contagious. When everyone around despised someone, it was easy to assume she must truly be that terrible. Only now did he realize how much it hurt to have the knife stabbed into him, and suddenly, he didn't seem so generous. When Natalie was being framed, her eyes looked so lonely and helpless. He always assumed she was just trying to gain sympathy.

But now he realized Natalie was genuinely heartbroken. Her own mother doubted her, and her brothers tormented her.

He was truly not worthy of being her brother. No wonder she was skilled in medicine, able to help those much worse off than him, yet she never mentioned her abilities to him.

Seeing him silent and tearful, Wendy continued, "What would you do without the shares I gave you? What if I fall one day? You're good for nothing but racing, right?"

Jason was puzzled, and he voiced out his doubt, "Mom, I don't get it. Why would Dad do this to me?"

Wendy said, "I can't tell you the truth because you were born ignorant. I'm afraid you'll mess up my plans.

"Just pretend you don't know anything. Hide yourself in a hospital, and I'll take care of everything."

Jason said, "Mom, I've finally seen the truth. I won't hold you back anymore. Please tell me. The baby Jasmine's carrying isn't

mine."

"She wants me to take the fall, but I won't let her have her way. Mom, I'm your son. I won't side with Dad or Jennifer anymore." Jason wanted to share the burden with Wendy. Wendy looked at him quietly. "Then you seek your own revenge. As long as you're not foolish, I won't abandon you."

As long as Jason was willing to change for the better, she'd support him.

Jason smiled wryly, "Mom, I'm not foolish anymore.

Chapter 163

"Three days before the competition, Natalie's design plans suddenly ended up in Isabelle's hands. The only person who could access my phone was Jennifer, and she was the only one who knew my unlock code. 47%

"I finally understand now. Jennifer wanted to turn me and Natalie into sworn enemies, so she could blame my accident on Natalie. Luckily, Natalie found out beforehand and didn't let Jennifer succeed."

Wendy was very upset. "Natalie cares so much about us that she never brought up what Jennifer did. She loves our family too much to argue with Jennifer, just wanting everyone to be at peace.

"For the last time, Jennifer faked her own kidnapping to frame Natalie. Yet, our family chose to cut ties with Natalie, completely dashing her hopes and preventing her from loving us. We were really blind and oblivious to the truth." Tears flowed endlessly from Wendy's eyes. "People only realize what they have after losing it. I've lost my daughter, and I'm actually ready to lose you guys as well.

"Alexander is lovestruck, chasing after that woman all the way overseas.

"In short, all four of you were sent far away by your father. He said it was for your happiness, but in the end, it was to keep you away from the company, leaving me alone at work. They took advantage of this opportunity." Jason clenched his fists, remembering the past. Their acting was so bad, yet because of the love they had for Jennifer since they were young, they never doubted her words.

Favoritism led to boldness.

Whenever something happened, their first instinct was to protect their beloved Jennifer.

"We were wrong," Jason cried, hiding his face in his hands.

Wendy wiped her tears and said, "Sign the share transfer agreement. The company is already partly taken over by people your father set up. Jennifer has also planted many of her own people inside.

"I want to strip the company bare, leaving them with an empty shell, so that after all their plotting, they'll end up with nothing."

Wendy knew she couldn't beat Jennifer. After some investigation, she discovered that Nick and Jennifer had already placed many people within the company.

But she wouldn't easily hand over the company she'd managed her entire life.

She wouldn't let that homewrecker have an easy time either.

That night, she went all out, so much so that the other woman didn't dare to show

up again.

With her status, there was no way she would appear at the party that night unless Jennifer brought her.

The next time they met, Wendy was determined to make her suffer even more.

This time, Jason didn't hesitate to sign his name.

Wendy gave him an address where he could go to recover, then she left the hospital.

After getting home and ensuring Nick wasn't there, she went to look for his safe.

Natalie helped Valerie pack up her things. When her phone rang with an unknown number, she stepped out to answer it. "Hello!" 16:17 Mon, Dec 2

Chapter 163

"Natalie, it's me," said Jason

Natalie was taken aback. It was Jason. He never spoke to her so gently before.

Natalie was thoroughly disappointed in them, her voice cold. "What's up?"

"Natalie, it was my fault before. I don't expect you to forgive me but I'm sorry. I know the truth about what happened six months ago."

"Did you call just to tell me this?" Natalie's tone turned even colder.

Now he realized he was wrong, but she didn't need him anymore.

There was a time when she was thrilled to discover she had four brothers. With her other three brothers, she had seven in total and felt like the happiest sister in the world. But in reality, those four brothers were the nightmares of her life.

Jason said, "Natalie, I realize I've wronged you in so many ways, especially regarding Zach. When I look back, the harshness I showed is hard for me to believe, even now." Jason's voice choked with emotion. "You're my little sister, yet I wanted to ruin you. I'm sorry, Natalie. I really know I am wrong now."
