Chapter 890 A Breathtaking Battle

"Did they start their attack?” Rocky murmured to himself. His face was cold and serious. Now that his task was to deal with the powerful Crouching Demon, he should focus on this fight. He had a hunch it would be a tough one.

The urgent call from the Crouching Demon's master seemed to have made it more impatient and it strengthened its attack. The flame balls it shot were getting even bigger and more powerful than before.

The constant attack of flame balls had caused the fire to spread quickly around them. The sea of fire threatened to swallow everything it touched, making the battleground hot and dry.

Rocky was grateful that it was merely a guardian beast. While clever, there was still a gap between its intelligence and that of human beings. Still, avoiding the Crouching Demon's powerful attack was no easy task. Rocky and Rainbow Glow Unicorn had no choice but to keep running to avoid the fierce flame balls or they'd end up dead.

However, using the Mysterious Beast Transformation Skill to help the Rainbow Glow Unicorn turn invisible had its limitations. Not to mention it forced the Rainbow Glow Unicorn to exert a lot of energy and spiritual power to use it. That is why they both looked a little tired right now.

In contrast, the Crouching Demon seemed to have an endless supply of power and energy. Its powerful offensive attacks were still drastic. Rocky realized that hiding wasn't the best strategy in this situation. He took out the Frozen Wind Dagger and turned it into the Flaming Blade. Then he dashed towards the Crouching Demon. Confronting it head-on was the only way until he was able to find an opening.

Seeing Rocky's new tactic, the Crouching Demon's ruby-colored eyes narrowed from under the hood of its lids. Suddenly, it closed its claws together and then opened them again and a new flame ball appeared in its grip. This new flame ball was rather different. It was as strong and violent as numerous flame balls all combined. It would be hard to survive such a disastrous flame ball.

Even knowing how dangerous the new flame ball was, Rocky didn't stop. Instead, he kept moving closer to the Crouching Demon, seeing no reason to retreat.

The next second, the Crouching Demon let out a hoarse howl and tore the enormous flame ball apart. Suddenly, an inordinate amount of flames shot out and headed in Rocky's direction. The flames seeming to follow his movements

It was easy to avoid an enormous flame ball. But it was impossible to guard against all these small flames as they came at him all at once. Upon seeing this, Rocky's face darkened. He immediately cut out several moon-shaped black blades.

The collision of the moon-shaped black blades with the flames caused a series of explosions.

The intense impact spread everywhere, filling the air with smoke.

However, thousands of fire flames were still in motion on their way to Rocky. Once they surrounded him, they detonated. With a startlingly loud sound cracking through the air, Rocky found himself enveloped by fire.

Seeing that Rocky was hit, the Crouching Demon immediately shouted in pleasure. Yet its celebration was to be short-lived. Two shadows appeared in front of it almost at the same time. A moon-shaped black blade rushed down to it with full momentum.

The blade's power surprised the beast. It immediately raised its claws and waved out a flame wind to stop it.

The flame wind collided with the blade with a loud bang.

But because of the differences in strength, the blade was immediately destroyed. The flame wind even swept through the two figures in front of the Crouching Demon.

Rocky felt a powerful force coming towards him. It hit his chest and caused him to spit a mouthful of blood at the impact. Although both he and the Rainbow Glow Unicorn were now invisible, the flame wind had managed to strike them. Even the Rainbow Glow Unicorn was hurt.

Still, Rocky found a reason to smile. With all the Crouching Demon's attention on them, it didn't notice the ice-colored figure's soundless approach. It moved so fast that even the powerful guardian beast could not detect it. Winning often came in a critical and subtle moment.

By the time the Crouching Demon noticed the figure, it was too late for it to react. The figure was suddenly upon it.

The ice-colored figure waved its front limbs, and its ice claws spurted out whistling in the air.

A series of crisp sounds followed.

In an instant, the hot wave around the Crouching Demon in midair instantly condensed with frost. Although the Crouching Demon was strong, it couldn't repel such a direct impact. It was immediately forced back to the ground.

Just then, the ice phantom opened its mouth and spewed out a freezing fog, keeping the Crouching Demon in place. In turn, the ice stretched out several meters and formed an ice cylinder that trapped the Crouching Demon inside.

"Good job, Robin!" Rocky praised. He let out a long sigh of relief and smiled with pleasure. While Robin fought the Crouching Demon, Rocky remained nervous, looking on with bated breath. They'd reached a critical moment and their survival depended on it. Now that the Crouching Demon was frozen in place, Rocky and the Rainbow Glow Unicorn appeared.

Although Robin had been only mutated for a short time, it had already adapted to the new power it had gained and had a good command of it. As Robin's owner, Rocky felt lucky. Without Robin, he and the Rainbow Glow Unicorn could not have withstood the attack.

However, it was too soon for Rocky to be optimistic that they'd won. Without warning, the icicle surrounding the beast suddenly vibrated, then cracked open. The ice blocks fell every which way as the ground trembled with icicles hitting the ground

Rocky's face turned serious. With a loud bang, the huge icicle was broken into pieces by a potent force from inside. A blast of fire waves followed that rushed in all directions.

Seeing this, his face fell. He immediately asked Robin to step back, but it was still one step too late. In an instant, the fire wave shrouded Robin. Its body was thrown into the air, covered entirely in both fire and smoke.

"Robin!" cried Rocky anxiously. His heart clenched, but he was no longer in the mood to deal with the beast. The fire waves were now targeting him.

Rocky retreated with the Rainbow Glow Unicorn. However, Rocky and his spirit-manipulated beast had rattled the Crouching Demon. Full of rage, it had every intention of torturing them. It rushed out of the sea of fire, its body bursting with fire flames. The flames seemed more powerful than that of Uriah’s.

Although Rocky tried his best to avoid the attacks, the Crouching Demon didn't seem to have a problem following him. It was determined to set him ablaze.

Facing this crazy creature had Rocky at a loss of what to do. If the Crouching Demon continued its ruthless attacks, there would be no saving them. The guardian beast of the spiritual race was not to be trifled with. Rocky just hoped he could survive.

In a moment of distraction, the Crouching Demon sent out fire waves hoping to envelope Rocky in them. The attack left him with nowhere to hide.

Rocky knew that he would be in big trouble if he couldn't get rid of the fire. He tried to figure out what to do next. As he thought of how he was going to save himself, the Rainbow Glow Unicorn suddenly turned around. It blocked the Crouching Demon with its body, facing the fire waves shooting towards Rocky.
