Power of Money -
Chapter 1040
Sylvia explained to Jason that she was willing to go to Jia Sen, but she had to wait for a moment.
Jia Sen accepted the transfer with pleasure and told Sylvia that William, the head of the transfer station, was a senior member of the South Continent's Imperial Examination. He had a very good understanding of the inland uninhabited area, so he might be able to help them.
"You really want to go?"
After Jia Sen left, Jason looked at Sylvia and asked.
"Well, we are outsiders after all. The entry-and-exit transfer station doesn't conform to the rules. On the procedure, I should go meet the person in charge here and give the corresponding explanation." Sylvia said.
"Aren't you afraid that William has anything to do with the wealthy families of the U.S.?" Jason asked. As far as he knew, in a capital country like the U.S., most researchers had to rely on the support of the rich "That's why I'm starting to miss your human face's techniques a little. I was in too much of a rush this time. If I could make use of your techniques to disguise my face in advance, the risk of exposure would be very low," Sylvia said with a slight sigh.
She obviously had the same worry as Jason in her heart. She even had reasons to believe that this
South Continent transfer station, which was dominated by the U.S., was one of the communication stations for the "The Antarctic Plan". After all, all the seven big families, including the one who established the "Inner Grading of the Southern Continent" had participated in the plan. If she went to meet William like that, there was a high possibility that her identity would be exposed. She might even be detained by William. When the "Royal family" arrived here to avoid the snowstorm, she would hand it over to ask for credit.
"Right now, the worst-case scenario is that we'll be held hostage at the transfer station. We'll wait until the Royal Title arrives. But perhaps William will only let us go after he checks and confirm our identities." Sylvia had no choice but to comfort herself in this way.
Jason didn't know what to say. After all, they were indeed trapped here now. The storm outside was raging, and it wouldn't subside within a day. They couldn't leave, so they had to accept any requirements of the transfer station.
"I'll go with you, at least it's safer." Jason stood up and said.
"No, I believe that we are still safe in the Imperial Examination station. Just wait for my message. I will be back soon."
Once Sylvia made her decision, no one else was allowed to change her mind.
After simply telling Jason some precautionary measures, she turned around and left, leaving Jason alone in the coffee shop.
Jason stared at the coffee in his hand, still thinking about what Sylvia had said before she left.
Sylvia was very active. She knew that when they entered the Imperial Examination station, there was no absolute secrecy. As long as others saw them come in here, no one would dare to kill them in the shelter.
After all, the transfer station was only led by the US. At the same time, the staff from other countries were also there. No matter how brave William was, he did not dare to let the two living people disappear here. The most important thing was that the identities and origins of the two people were not simple. If they could not do a perfect job, then their behavior would be tantamount to suicide.
While he was thinking, he heard footsteps coming from the door.
"I know a little bit of Chinese. Can I have a chat with you?"
The sound of footsteps was followed by the sound of the foot-piercing Chinese language ringing behind Jason.
Jason suddenly raised his head and saw a golden-haired girl in a black T-shirt and jeans, which perfectly set off her graceful posture. She was holding a cup of coffee in her hand and walking towards him with a smile.
"Belinda?"
Seeing the young girl, Jason was slightly surprised.
They spent seven days on the ship and never saw Belinda speak a single Chinese line. However, when they reached the transfer station, they didn't think that she could speak Chinese so well.
"I am my assistant in the university institute and a citizen of your country. I have studied Chinese for a period of time. It's still possible for me to communicate with her."
Bei Lin had the passion and generosity of the westerners. Without Jason opening his mouth, she sat in the seat of Sylvia opposite Jason. She looked at him with a smile and said.
It had to be said that Belinda was indeed very beautiful.
She had an angelic face, blonde eyes, and a pair of lively blue eyes that seemed to be able to speak.
"Well, I didn't expect that your Chinese is so good. It seems that your assistant is very excellent." Jason laughed.
In fact, most of the students stayed abroad as teachers and worked as assistants in the college institute. They worked hard and had low salaries. Their final research results would not have any of their names, and they would be kicked out at any time. Since Jason sent Colin abroad to study, he had more or less known about the inside story.
Belinda looked at Jason with her head tilted. She didn't seem to have thought that Jason was such a backed person. She knew what Jason was referring to. This was indeed the truth, and she didn't want to refute it.
"In fact, you're the only one I've ever seen. An explorer who's willing to risk his life to go deep into the Southernmost Region for the sake of scientific research. This makes me admire, so I want to make a friend with you. I hope we can work together in the future." Belinda said her intentions, and Jason didn't feel surprised at all.
